So with ROI coming out Bungie is basically screwing the "Legacy Consoles" as they call it. This is what I hear when they are making it for Xbox 1 and PS4 only. "So basically if you want the new update and be able to see your stuff on the website or app, you're gonna have to buy the new consoles." Some people can't buy new consoles because food, rent, and car payments are actually way more important than a new system. I mean, yeah at least they are letting us still play the game, but I would really like to be able to get on my PC and check my inventory so I don't have to go through all the work on my Xbox just to find out I don't have enough Strange Coins for something I want from Xur.

5 AntwortenI agree that the timing sucks. If you bought legacy TDB and HoW, it included both systems for one price. TTK did not, so if you bought legacy, it meant you were firmly in the old gen for the duration. Now, RoI isn't even available legacy, and if you upgrade to continue, you even have to repurchase TTK. That being said, from a business standpoint, this was the best move for them going forward. They're basically weaning everyone off legacy consoles prior to D2, and in a manner most beneficial to them. This also lets us have this discussion now instead of with a new game. By then, everyone who is staying onboard should be over it. In the end, legacy players simply have to make a choice about how important it is for them to continue playing new Destiny. I don't fault anyone for being disappointed, or for voicing it. However, you're still going to have to decide.

If you want to play the current game, you need the current system. No hate, just an observation.

Simple sell your 360 get half a price of a Xbox one. Get some more money. Ez

You will find no sympathy here

I don't get why these legacy owners continue with these polls knowing only a very small % of players still use them. You guys get down voted every time. It's just makes Bungies case even more reputable.

6 AntwortenOh stop it with the "bills bills bills" shite. I have all that plus the expense of 2 kids on top. I saved up and got a current gen console 3 years ago. Just put aside a bit of money each payday, I'm sure your bills dont take 100% of your income. If they do you are living beyond your means and thats on you.

Legacy consoles we're holding the game back from serious innovation. You should be happy they even kept you in the circle for TTK
-
It was going to happen eventually. Just save up for one.
-
Stop whining and move on from your 11 year old console

2 AntwortenNot to be that guy. But if you can't afford a 400ish console, you can't afford to play. Like I'm not saying "yo drop that money all at once" but in the scope of things a new console is relatively cheap... Even further to the point, you blame Bungie? Isn't it a bit convenient that Bungie shuts down the game for legacy consoles at the same time the legacy console producers stop production and prepare to shut down servers...
-
Screwing you over would be if you paid for the content.
-
You can always save a little amount of mony and buy a new system. Even kids do this.
-
1 AntwortenYou can't set aside $300 for a new console?
-
Honestly, I feel like console companies should just say "Look we're releasing a new console in X years, several months after that we will shut down the servers and production of older models." Sick of the crap where we buy new consoles and don't get any actual next gen content until its halfway through its own life cycle.

Be grateful that you've received support for the past two years, rather than spiteful that you won't continue.

Bearbeitet von LiL Ray: 9/2/2016 2:53:30 PMI know man, the music industry is screwing me over too... I keep on wanting to get the latest jams for my 8-track but they keep telling me I need to upgrade to CD's. Seriously, the 360 and ps3 are like 10+ years old, it was time to upgrade like 3 years ago. #realitycheck

I don't understand why Bungie doesn't release Destiny on N64? I mean cmon.. I can only play so much Goldeneye..
-
1 AntwortenYeah...it's like when Nintendo stopped making Mario games for the SNES! how dare they not support obsolete hardware!
-
It is time to upgrade.
-
Give it a rest already, stop whining
-
I understand your frustration, but this is old news. Sony and Microsoft won't be supporting their last gen systems for much longer. Developers are not going to cease to innovate and design/develop better gaming experiences that require newer technologies even if some can't afford the new technology. "Legacy" consoles have had their time.

1 AntwortenBlame Sony and MIcrosoft for cutting you guys out and not the game devs...man

Bearbeitet von Wasted Ellipsis: 9/2/2016 2:38:05 PMActivision would have never let this happen, if it didnt HAVE to happen, they had a clause in their contract with Bungie, that all content made for current gen, had to be made for legacy consoles as well... The legacy consoles simply hit the content ceiling, the hardware cannot fit any more content, they would have to take old content away, to fit new content... Don't be sore about it, its just the way it is, I'm sure Bungie didn't want to do this, they had to...
