My thoughts about shoulder charge
Why does everyone complain about shoulder charge? I bet it's 95% of year 2 players that complain about it. First you complain about sunbreakers (which I too believe that they were a little op) now that sunbreakers have been nerfed and strikers have been buffed (melee and super) people start complaining because they get killed by it. If it kills you it doesn't mean it's overpowered. If it kills you multiple times than change your play style. Shoulder charge has been the same since year 1. Please Bungie, if you see this striker Titan is one of the most balanced subclasses in the game. Don't nerf it. I don't want to run around placing bubbles every where and eventually people will complain about that too. Just wanted to state my thoughts on the current argument about Titans

Your right, where was the hate in yr 1? The hunters and warlocks got nerfed in April and that's the only reason SC has been in the limelight. If no nerfs went down in April, we wouldn't even have a question about SC. Hey hunters and warlocks....quit crying already, this is old news now.

11 AntwortenAs a hunter, warlock main my only issue is that SC is a 1hk ability with no cool down. On top of that a melee charge can also 1hk. I used my titan in the last IB and sometimes just for bounties depending on my free time and i got SOOOOOO many SC kills. Primary kill times have also become longer so without a consistent primary or a lucky hit with a shotgun you cant counter it. [b][u]IM NOT ASKING FOR A NERF![/u][/b] I honestly would just like to see some buffs for hunters and warlocks so we can have something similar on 1 subclass for each. I think that would be interesting.. (back stab either needs to be reworked or something else needs to happen, its hard to get backstab kills with invis being nerfed again) either way SC is fun and without adding some sorta cooldown to it i think nerfs would make it unuseable.

3 AntwortenShoulder charge is fine for me. There's only 1 thing i don't like when on the receiving end. If i (hunter) see a striker rushing me and i triple jump (bones of eoa) anticipating him to shoulder charge, he auto locks on me and flies upwards and still manage to hit me. He should be charging forwards, going underneath me and miss. There could also be the possibility that it's caused by lag. He already shoulder charged and hit me before i had the chance to evade jump on his screen where as on my screen i was way up high in the air. It's like when you think getting 1 shot killed by scout rifles from a distance. It's because you never had the hit notifications from the first 2 bullet hits (lag) but only from the fatal hit.

I don't even play Titan and I agree there's nothing wrong with shoulder charge yeah it makes me mad and I used to die from it often but like you said change your play style and you won't die if your paying attention you can counter it most times

Because every other subclass as been nerfed. People should of thought about it before they got things nerfed.

2 AntwortenMy only issue with Shoulder Charge is that is has a tendency to fly much further upwards or downwards than it should. Several times I've jumped up to dodge a Charge, only for the Striker to make an unbelievable 60° redirect and snap my ankles when I was seemingly well above the other player. I don't mind the strength of it for how risky a move it is, but the vertical tracking on it often seems unfair or unwarranted, especially when the Titan is airborne.

Being killed by something might mean that they are just more skilled at that subclass for me.

I'm at a loss when it comes to people complaining about shoulder charge too, i very rarely get shoulder charged. Mainly because it takes a lot of timing on the titans part and i would also have to be relatively OBVIOUS to that titan at the time, which by the way is even more rare since i pick up on EVERY audio cue.

If I get shoulder charged and dont kill them its when I am not paying attention, or the did a slide shoulder charge. My only issue is with the slide. I dont think you should be able to do a slide shoulder charge. I have been having a lot of fun using the striker lately. After ignoring my titan for the most part. Its fun to see someone hard scoping and sprint at them from the side and take them out. I might get 1 or 2 shoulder charge kills a match and a lot of the time the opportunity isnt there at all. I dont understand the people who just sprint around the mapp the entire game.

3 AntwortenI have no problem with it unless I shotgunned them but their dead body still flies forward and kills me even though they're already dead :|

Most people that complain about SC are rocking scout sniper or pulse combo which is a redundant combo. You have little to no QCQ. I'm always carrying a fusion or side arm for my special for those players who think rushing 100% of the time is effective.

I use it and I should cry nerf on shotguns because smart people see me coming and shoot me in the face when I do a SC.
