I can't emphasize this enough. Grimoire progress absolutely shouldn't be obtained through private matchmaking. No other game allows progress in custom matches because it promotes boosting, so why should Destiny be any different?
This is going to completely destroy leaderboards, legitimate KD's/wins, and legitimate kills/medals earned in the Crucible.
On behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, I'd like to ask Bungie to change this. We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score, and I'd hate to see all the effort we put into our Crucible wins (Rumble requiring the most effort) to end up being for nothing.
We hope that one day there will be a reward for reaching Grimoire milestones and any form of boosting would ruin the uniqueness of said items. I hope this message is seen by the devs at Bungie, and I hope action is taken.

22 AntwortenI only read the title of your post, in fear of my IQ dropping further. Grimoire is pointless and a waste of time. Does it mean you're a better player? Do you gain anything from it? Does it give you any form of an advantage? Negative. It's like collecting Pokemon. Even if you collect them all, you're still a tard in a trench coat that only a mother could love. You're post is of no value dude, nobody cares.

8 Antwortensigned i am very proud of my grimoire score. i worked hard on it. for those naysayers out there i say some people value different things. if you earned say employee of the month at your job and it wasnt worth anything but the recognition you would be proud right? feel good you were recognized right? thats exactly the point.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Erijian: 9/1/2016 2:36:52 AMTime to max out my Grimoire; I feel for the players who grinded those Doubles and Rumble wins. At least you can feel accomplished in your own snowflake world, where people care about grimoire.
-
2 AntwortenI think you are drastically overestimating the number of people who care enough about Grimoire to actually boost it. Seriously? Who the f*ck would boost the 1000 wins needed for 15 extra grim score? Too much effort for virtually no reward.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von skyplay_1: 9/2/2016 3:02:12 AMI kind of agree, in the grimoire progress and stats! However they should keep a separate stat sheet for private matchmaking only! I mean, c'mon I for one would like to know how I'm performing against my friends list! It's how I know where to improve besides the basic k/d.

Nor kd nor stats of any kind

Bearbeitet von Poopcycle6: 9/2/2016 1:52:59 AMAgree. Recently started grinding for those crucible grimoires.. Hate all this work to be pointless when I could boost it in a few weeks.. Edit: But then again I wouldn't mind seeing some trash PvP players get SBMM into my game because they boosted their KD..

Gears of War 3 allowed you to boost in private ,I have no problem with people getting grimore in private ,grimore has absolutely no barring on game play all it does is allow you to read lore
-
I agree. Private matches shouldn't affect grimoire or k/d.
-
Grimore is just something to grind for when you get bored enough lol outside that who cares... Most year one players got all the grimmore for cruicible anyways... So if private matches have grimoire cards who cares... I'm not sure people understand how grimmore how ever it's spelled even works lol it'd be customized cards specific too private matches anyways... Boosted no more than people who play sweats...

7 AntwortenNo. I want to get Chaperone the easy way

Signed. I am damn proud of my grimore score and if someone can just boost their way though what I slogged and sweated for I for one will be extremely pissed
-
It's not like it impacts gameplay. So who cares. This is just more about ego boosting lol😂
-
We got an Grimoire elitist here. LOL What does do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. LOL
-
1 AntwortenOh no people's grimoire will got up 5 to 15 pts. See no one cares.
-
How else are we going to get 25 rumble wins?
-
It's Grimoire... who the f*ck cares at the end of the day?
-
1 AntwortenBoosting for Grimoire, I couldn't care less. Do whatever the hell you want. A number next to you name makes no difference to me.

Bearbeitet von 123: 9/2/2016 12:53:13 AMI agree with the Grimoire score thing, as after September you won't know who really grinded their Rumble wins :P although I am happy to see the whole k/d thing get turned upside down, in a personal and selfish way. I often feel a sore spot for having fun in the crucible, because I have to filter my decisions through the thought that "this will affect my k/d".. Like if I go to try any new gun at all, or want to help feed my sister a few kills to help her out on a bounty. Now, I imagine that conviction will be lightened as k/d won't matter as much. Perhaps a similar argument can be had by a crucible junkie against grimoire though! Idk Seems like a super weird decision either way. Grimoire score will be even less important to anyone like myself who it WAS very important to... I wish it was still on the emblem! :/ Edit: PS: why you no max, OP? Xur, 3oC, Scourge of Winter- grind that Zen Meteor! lol (took me about 200 or so 3oC)
-
5 AntwortenYou don't even have max grimoire..... lol and did u get kicked out of the clan cause of that lol idk why you would join that clan if your gonna get kicked everytime theres new dlc lmao.

I'm glad. Bean counters have no business being in Grimoire. I can finally finish those Skirmish, Doubles, and Rumble wins. I used to go flawless and got 85ish Salvage wins in 5 days since I was worried Salvage would be gone with Taken King launch. I'm not a scrub, but I don't care to play Crucible anymore. Gonna be so happy to finish up my Grimoire in Sept/Oct (depends on how much they add.)

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Urdnot_noraA: 9/2/2016 12:28:09 AMSo basically you're saying you want everybody to play in your stupid skill based matchmaking so you can have fun and nobody else. Cuz after the update I'm not putting up with skill based matchmaking no more. I'm not putting up with having to always have to go try hard in every match I in when I don't want to go try hard. And I'm definitely not putting up with -blam!-s like you. So enjoy your skill based matchmaking. While I enjoy Crucible like I used to enjoy it back in Year One. PS: I would be fine with this if they removed skill based matchmaking other than that I disagree with your post.

15 AntwortenNo way should this happen. Im very average at pvp and have had my ass kicked hundreds of times trying to get my final grimoire for 100 rumble wins. Stil not there yet but when I hit that 100th win I know that I deserve it. So what now anyone can just get a group of friends together to let them win and get the same grimoire? That stinks.
