I can't emphasize this enough. Grimoire progress absolutely shouldn't be obtained through private matchmaking. No other game allows progress in custom matches because it promotes boosting, so why should Destiny be any different?
This is going to completely destroy leaderboards, legitimate KD's/wins, and legitimate kills/medals earned in the Crucible.
On behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, I'd like to ask Bungie to change this. We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score, and I'd hate to see all the effort we put into our Crucible wins (Rumble requiring the most effort) to end up being for nothing.
We hope that one day there will be a reward for reaching Grimoire milestones and any form of boosting would ruin the uniqueness of said items. I hope this message is seen by the devs at Bungie, and I hope action is taken.

Bearbeitet von SIRFLYZINI: 9/2/2016 1:41:35 PMOh no not Grimoire. Look, I get that a lot of people grind for that max Grim, but a bigger portion of people have literally never, ever even looked up theirs. It just happens as you play. If you can get some done in private matches... We don’t care, and most people will not even take the time to "cheese" it that way.

I've never cared for the grimoire. It's just flash cards to a story and backstory that should have been in the game to begin with.
-
This game, let alone freakin' grimoire, is not that serious. Go cry about something else FFS.

5 AntwortenI'm going to exploit this harder than a fat man does a dollar menu. Max Grimoire is only a few weeks away. Special elite snowflake status will soon be mine.
...that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score...
and so it begins again....so soon already this time....

1 AntwortenI had a little flash of anger about this... then I realized that other people's grimoire score has no impact on me whatsoever. Having to get 100 wins in all these play lists is stupid anyway.

They should brah, 100 rumble wins in a day here I come

4 Antworten100% agree with OP. Private matches should be about having fun and custom tournaments. If K/Ds and grimoire count in this mode, silly guardians with way too much time are going to pad KDs and exploit grimoire. I already have one friend asking to help him get some grimoire done, I'm sure everyone is gonna get asked to "help a buddy". I would like to tell him to kick rocks because this just makes a game feel like a job. You say who cares. I do. I'm at 56 wins in rumble and had a small goal of getting this completed. Now anyone can just boost through it, so much for it meaning even a little bit. Private matches should be like they are in all other games; progress in them does not translate to the core experience. I don't care if you have to turn everything off (loot drops, experience, faction exp, etc), don't let this happen. And I am excited for private matches, fun custom games to play with your friends. Just keep it like that. Not a boring boost zone

Well, there is no reward for completing grimoire other than being able to read it and find out more about the lore and such. And also grimoire gives nothing to physical gameplay or any sort of boost whatsoever so why on any of the planets in our solar system could this be a problem?

16 AntwortenFinally I can finish the 100 Rumble wins :'D.

So you see the inflated stats, and cheese coming eh? Well all that gets shut down by one statement...
1v1 me bro
Because they realized how ridiculous it is to max out your grimore in PvP. Honestly I was never going to bother with trying to go for that because of the amount of time it would take. I'd rather do some raids or strikes.

really? people care about this shit?

5 AntwortenAwwwwwww, is somebody worried about his special snowflake status? Get outta here, you damn hipster.

3 AntwortenSign if you got your rumble wins legit
-
10 AntwortenGet laid regularly and you'll stop caring about grimoire.
-
1 AntwortenWhy would it? There has been an unwritten convention through many, many, games that private matches do not count towards ingame/multiplayer progress.
-
Typical Democrats thinking they can get all this Grimoire without actually paying the price for it.. All you free loaders got no idea what it means to do a hard days work, farming and whatnot. Participation awards for everyone who bumps this, regardless of your Grimoire, because if I'm gonna stick with trends, I might as well reward you for doing nothing too. 3 AntwortenBearbeitet von CrimsonMonk: 9/2/2016 4:19:02 AMIt's no different than sitting on Mars where the hydras spawn to farm hydra kills, or doing the same for any pve content. In your logic, Those farmed kills shouldn't count because you didn't actually encounter them without sitting in the same spot for hours just to get the grimoire.

well, they are. nice post though, i really like the font.
