Kills and wins in Private Matches should NOT count towards Grimoire progress.
I can't emphasize this enough. Grimoire progress absolutely [i]shouldn't[/i] be obtained through private matchmaking. No other game allows progress in custom matches because it promotes boosting, so why should Destiny be any different?
This is going to completely destroy leaderboards, legitimate KD's/wins, and legitimate kills/medals earned in the Crucible.
On behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, I'd like to ask Bungie to change this. We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score, and I'd hate to see all the effort we put into our Crucible wins (Rumble requiring the most effort) to end up being for nothing.
We hope that one day there will be a reward for reaching Grimoire milestones and any form of boosting would ruin the uniqueness of said items. I hope this message is seen by the devs at Bungie, and I hope action is taken.

Instead of thanking them for their dedication, you decided to remove Grimoire score below guardians name, to display an useless level... And now that... Plus you are going to mess with PVP stats... 3 AntwortenWhat Bungie should do is give all those who have max grimoire an exclusive emblem the night before ROI releases to distinguish those who achieved it legitimately, that way it won't feel such a slap in the face to those who went out of their way to do it.

I can't give two shits about stats anymore. I never realized KD was actually anything serious after the thorn, and now people say snipers and such are too easy to use. So at this point who the hell gives a shit besides the picky assholes that deserve it?

4 AntwortenBut boosting for rewards and boosting for a grimoire card that makes absolutely no difference in game is alot different. It sounds like you're upset that your grimoire score won't make you a snowflake anymore.

So let me get this straight, daily bounties and grimoire score can be counted on in private matches but questlines can't? For starters, the quest line isn't going to have any impact on the game other than to obtain the weapon one is working towards. Like the exotic swords, it's a PvE thing that requires PvP activities and I don't want to do PvP just to get PvE materials. Some may say "If you don't want to do PvP, then you don't deserve it" but if it was strictly PvE, I WOULD have done it! I don't play PvP (I used to until people became assholes). We all paid for the game so pretty much we're all entitled for access to armor and weapons, it's just if you're unwilling to put the effort THEN that's when things change.

I'll message them saying you need help I'm your guy. I'm a civillized classy player, I help those in need when I see them struggling with the test weapon or something. How is anyone expected to complete these quests when crucible is being unplayable right now with scrub loadouts and sbmm against them? Wait, I just re-read this. So you're wanting them to change this to protect the rewards that they haven't even come up with yet? I'm not trying to be insulting but come on...you see how that sounds a little not-so-smart...right?

12 AntwortenI honestly don't think it matters grimiore wise. But if it keeps their medals and KD and have it effect the global stats that's kind of messed. I take pride in being in the top 15% of players. Now people won't know if i'm actually good or not.

I agree, I actually helped a grimoire grandmaster (Sahx) get his last five grimoire points in doubles. private matches should definitely not let you achieve your missing grimoire when those of us who have grinded it out before roi have put in all that effort legitimately

Private matches shouldn't really count towards any progression (like rep, bounties, grimoire, etc) as they can be too easy to manipulate. No game I've ever played, which has private matches, has had them count towards progression. Either way I couldn't care less if they do.................

Look, I get that a lot of people grind for that max Grim, but a bigger portion of people have literally never, ever even looked up theirs. It just happens as you play. If you can get some done in private matches... We don’t care, and most people will not even take the time to "cheese" it that way.
