I can't emphasize this enough. Grimoire progress absolutely shouldn't be obtained through private matchmaking. No other game allows progress in custom matches because it promotes boosting, so why should Destiny be any different?
This is going to completely destroy leaderboards, legitimate KD's/wins, and legitimate kills/medals earned in the Crucible.
On behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, I'd like to ask Bungie to change this. We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score, and I'd hate to see all the effort we put into our Crucible wins (Rumble requiring the most effort) to end up being for nothing.
We hope that one day there will be a reward for reaching Grimoire milestones and any form of boosting would ruin the uniqueness of said items. I hope this message is seen by the devs at Bungie, and I hope action is taken.

Now I will be accepted in every lfg post ~.~:;)

Completely agree. I have come back to destiny after a few weeks off and learned that this is the case. You can't blame players for taking advantage of a serious flaw in bungie's implementation of the private system, sadly its to late for them to fix it now though... I had to grind my ass off to win all my rumble matches to attain max grimoire. In saying that I'm pretty sure that doubles score cannot be attained in the private sector.

31 Antworten99% of posters on this thread agreeing with bungies decision don't have max grimoire and want to boost! They say those with max are only mad because they won't feel special but that's the very same reason they gonna boost for. THEY WANT MAX GRIMOIRE TO FEEL SPECIAL TOO, the irony........

What leaderboards?

Bearbeitet von Lord Fried: 9/8/2016 12:22:11 PMI don't see a reason to get bent out of shape over a number in a videogame. Once you close the game, your 10,000 grimoire doesn't mean anything...it barely means anything while playing.

3 Antworten
We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score
Poster doesn't even have max Grimoire.

1 AntwortenI hope all these posts are a well formed joke. Who cares if someone boosts some grimoire, it's not like these people are gonna get an extra 1000 grimoire from private matchs. For the people that say they've worked to get an extremely high grimoire, people that boosted the crucible for a bit more grimoire aren't gonna surpass your grimoire. ⚠Trigger warning⚠
Grimoire is just a number
main problem with this double playlist will be dead so will salvage

40 AntwortenPlease. Half the 100 win rumble players get their wins from going into classic and boosting with a fireteam. Grimoire is meaningless and I have a 5k grimoire.
-
2 AntwortenBounties shouldnt be able to be completed either... i have no idea how bungie would think thats a good idea.
-
2 AntwortenBUMP Grimore, bounties, quests, anything put on record should not count in private.
-
3 AntwortenWait private matches don't change KD, right?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Clay COCKWIDTH: 9/3/2016 4:24:40 AMHow does it hurt you? You say the SBMM will be messed up? Well, you'll be getting fed boosters who have high KDs but actually suck. Is it prestige? I can help, hear me out. See you might (just maybe) be taking this a weeee bit too seriously. I've found from the time i was 14 on a back road in a clapped out pontiac backseat w a equally clapped out woman (no shame lol) all the way to present day w my amazing wife andn the stupid amount in between : pussy? Pussy will make you forget about this grimoire shit and other people boosting. Promise. Go get some, do what ya gotta do, gym, eat right, go to bars, all those -blam!- apps they have now..... it's gotta be insanely easy now days. You literally can't NOT get laid bro. Go bang out a few dozen and report back. That is, if you're still playing games. You'll be calm and much less worried about this grandpoobah of grimore bullshit. I promise I'm right. Just trust me. *oh, and don't get offended. I'm dead serious. Chin up, son. It'll all work.out and its a video game! It's all ok.

3 AntwortenI have no idea why anyone would disagree with this outside of intent to abuse private games for dishonest reasons. Boosting is cheating. We should do what we can to prevent cheating. Simple.
-
30 AntwortenI like how everyone who is FOR private match boosting has no crucible grimoire, or barely any rumble wins. Or low kd
-
It's just grimiore, who says it's k/D?
-
5 AntwortenKD only matters in Trials regardless so nobody cares. Grim score only shows how long you've played the game so again, nobody cares. You're honestly whining over nothing.
-
4 AntwortenHave people never played private matches in any game before? There will no progression towards anything in private matches.
-
Gears of War allows medal progression in private matches. Also grimore means close to nothing in this game other than being one a very few things players try to hold down other players with. Bungie is just getting rid of a little more of that elitist mentality from this community which is good. Not everyone can play doubles enough in the week it is available if it is available that week.
-
I get what your saying, but if someone wants to try to make their epeen bigger by cheating to raise their grimoire score, it's not going to make any difference to me.
-
2 AntwortenAnd? It's only a couple hundred grimore. Private Matches aren't going to let you kill infinite Hydras or Ogres. They aren't going to give you the ghosts your missing. What's the big deal? If anything, it'll help alot players learn the maps, learn the mechanics of each game mode, and perhaps even spark more interest in a dying game mode - PvP.

1 AntwortenOn behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, stop saying things on our behalf. I don't mind or care if people get their wins for grimoire in private matches, in fact it would have removed the boosters from my rumble games if they implemented this sooner. Don't make us all look like elitists.
-
Hopefully they have some type of system in place to prevent and detect boosting
-
1 AntwortenYeah, if they allow this I'll feel bad for those individuals who maxed their Grimoire legitimately.
