Why is it so hard for people to admit that they don't know parts of the raid? Pride is an ugly thing, I've been stuck on oryx for 2 days now because people can't get their shit together.
I might only have a few raid completions but the fact that I know every facet of the raids is ridiculous none of this is complicated.
Chime in on your personal issues with idiots!

Beta player here trying to get back into Destiny! I'm looking for a fun dedicated group/clan of players to kind of get me back in the loop and help with some objective for Moments of Triumph Y2. I quit Destiny right before April update. If you or group/clan is able and willing to help in that aspect let me know! It would be an honor to join! Seems like 99% of the people I use to play with quit this game and it's hard to find new dedicated players when my light level isn't maxed yet! Anyways, thank you guys! 5 AntwortenIt's probably because most posts say they only want people that know what they are doing. The few times I've tried to do it, I say I have no clue what I'm doing I get ignored. They probably think Im joking because Im at 335 but I'm not. I havn't finished the raid once. I'm fairly new to the game and the mechanics of some of the levels are confusing as shit. I havn't found a group willing to explain. I find groups that do nothing but complain and blame each other non stop. I probably havnt found the right group but it's not from lack of trying. It's nice that you dont mind teaching new guys but unfortunately that's usually not the case.

* edit * so finally after almost a week dry spell i can finally say i got the damn helmet. All thats left are the 2 challenges (golgoroth and oryx)

I always throw that disclaimer before we start, even for parts i do know just in case i screw up lol.

I honestly hate people that brag about themselves. Half the time they actually suck, and even though they are sometimes very good, bragging about themselves just seems snobby IMO. Modesty is a virtue

3 AntwortenIMHO, The worst thing someone can do is blame their death on others or a misadventure. Especially those who get angry at people who die first. Immature kids.

1 AntwortenMate hit me up. My team will go with you. We dont care about experience, last night we took a 298 through hard mode and still did all three challenges (I know only golg counts) GT as above, send me a message so I know its you

Someone was criticizing my raid knowledge the other day when I told him that you could do a fifth round on Oryx if a knight took bombs. He said that I had no idea what I was talking about, but apparently he was experienced and knew what he was doing. RIP

4 AntwortenBecause they get booted. Simple. Last night a friend had an sisters checkpoint Now he got it by sheer luck. He asked me to help i said sure. He then went on lfg and over the space of 2 hrs he went through 8 ppl. Why? Because once they found out he didnt know the sequence of the sisters or oryx after. they left and their excuse? Im not staying here all night waiting for you losers to get your shit together. How are these kids supposed to learn if not from experience? You tube vids can only get you so far.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von JonnyBX: 8/30/2016 11:48:22 PMMost of the players that use to raid weekly are either playing other games or PvP. I use to only play Pve but now I'm only PvP. I made this account not long back, I needed 335 gear. I went though about 5 teams and 4 hours just doing oryx challenge. I have over 100 hard mode completions on my main account. I can do it in my sleep I don't understand why players can't do it. It's not difficult. Can you imagine these players trying VoG, they wouldn't stand a chance. If you need help I'll do it with you. I'm online between 8 and 11pm. U.K. Time. Add Jonny852

2 AntwortenI always lie. Especially on sisters, I always "get killed" (I secretly jump off the ledge hoping no one saw).

1 AntwortenHey man. Myself and 2 buddies raid quite a bit, a lot of times taking new people through. 9 time out of 10 are on during the weekends and looking to run. We're looking for a solid few people to run raids with, especially when ROI comes out. Hit me up anytime on the weekends. GT MannAndLego

1 AntwortenAre you upset that people don't know parts of the raid or that people are telling you they do but don't

Because some people are just downright mean.

Synergy, it is all about synergy (and the fact that LFG is terrible and should never be brought to this game), I digress. Many times an easy encounter can be made difficult if the team lacks synergy as people don't know what to expect of each other, they don't know what to look out for in each other. Also, it is LFG, so people most likely go there with the hope that they don't have to pull too much weight; and, as some have mentioned, you are not invested in LFG. If the going gets tough, you can just bail and try again, not so if you are in a clan. Your reputation is on the line, even your membership at times. Lastly, there are the players themselves. Some are capable of growth, some are just naturally good either via nature or years of raiding elsewhere (WoW for example), and others are just bound to be the warmers for bench warmers.

I remember back when I was building raid teams via lfg, a friend of mine would interrogate the hell out of people before even leaving orbit and entering the raid. It was amazing how many people would lie after I would specifically state in my LFG post that experience isn't an issue, we can teach you if we know what we need to teach. Hell, even after we didn't kick out completely inexperienced and lower light people from our group, we would still get people that would lie (they even would be in the party when we didn't remove other newbs and still lie). Now granted most people wouldn't want to go through this, but by doing this my group was able to put a pretty sizable raid clan of skilled players (not just players with good loot) together. I haven't needed lfg sense hard crota was released all because of some time up front. I still use it once an while though, just for some nostalgia.

It's because most of the time, you get kicked or replaced and then it's impossible to complete the raid. Most people aren't nice enough to keep you and teach you. especially for casual players like me. When we are doing the raid for the first time, most players are on their 142 time. They have grinded so much they don't want to have to deal with a newb, so they kick.

I'm with a group right now looking for people. I have 110 kings fall completions personally and know what I'm doing I'll message you on Xbox

4 AntwortenI'll add you and try to get on

1 AntwortenStart your own group on LFG, check grimoire of people who join. Boom problem solved.
