The sad Truth about Exclusive Content.
Some people seem confused as to why there are no exclusives coming to XBox as ASSUMED by players.
Some are also begging Bungie to stop exclusives for no reason.
I will explain why XBox will not get PS Exclusives, why it will NOT change, and why they may NEVER get these exotics so listen up.
Now we all know Activision and Sony have a contract for Exclusives for PS users, And that the last batch of exotics were not released to XBox, heres why...
On the Exclusives page it said the exotics wont be available to Xbox "Until AT LEAST Fall of 2016".
At least.
This means that IF Sony pays for another year (And they did, obviously) tha you will now have to wait "Until AT LEAST Fall of 2017" So do not assume AGAIN that these will be available next year because you may very well find yourself disappointed AGAIN.
Why?
They used the same words here "Until AT LEAST Fall of 2017"
Meaning that if Sony renews the contract next year, you will have to just keep on waiting and hoping.
NOW, as for those asking Bungie to stop exclusives for RoI and Destiny 2, It wont happen.
Why?
Sony signed a contract with Activision and if they break that contract, by giving items SONY paid for, to the customers of it's competitor (Microsoft) thats a serious legal issue and Sony would sue Bungie down to nothing.
So it will NEVER happen.
My best advice is to move on, suck it up, because there is NOTHING you can do about it.
Destiny is a 10 year franchise, so expect this contract to be in effect for a LONG time.

Honestly, those few items/map are not making me buy Destiny on PS4. The reason I dont play PS4 as often is due to the massive leak of credit information, they have the better hardware handsdown(when it comes to consoles) but their software is in the trash.

1 AntwortenI haved moved on and for future reference I will mute any one who brings up the exclusive content on these forums, as sony has only payed for it to be timed on ps for a set amount of time and not for eternity. to release them on xbox when they would end being null and void is not good business practice, I know bungie activision and the waste of space sony are having a 3 way circle jerk cluster fuk but hey Microsoft had the balls not to give the little traitor bungie anymore money because they left behind their loyal customers the players. ok by have fun on mute list. its ok you wont be missed at all.

Give them folks them weak ass guns, boring after one run strikes and badass ( as in awesome ) pvp maps except Cathedral, which comes to mind I don't see that map anymore. And quit that exclusives nonsense. PS user will stay dedicated to their systems and vice versa with Xbox. Exclusives won't persuade people away from their friends

If I remember correctly about a month and a half ago the ps4 users were on the division forums crying about waiting 1 month for the dlc to drop for them. They were upset over a 1 month wait. The only thing exclusivity does is hurts the players period. Nobody shld support exclusive content. We all just want the same thing in the end to play and have fun. Exclusivity just punishes and segregates a portion of what shld be one community no matter what console you use.

I'll draw the line if Playstation gets exclusive rights to play updated year 1 raids at some point (if ever). It's at that point I will stop playing this game. A few guns, armor, a crucible map, and a strike are no big deal. However, if Bungie starts putting exclusives in raids I'm done.

That's ok. Bungo will get no Silver from me. Year One exclusives were shit, even Hawkmoon (nerfed to shit) so Xbox users shouldn't get upset. If you are pissed just don't buy Silver.

Plus leaving old gen behind means an influx of new consumers in market for ps4 or xbone.... So Sony is trying to sway people to ps4

8 AntwortenSony is only really profitable anymore because of PS4 and their digital store, whereas Microsoft is still profitable in multiple areas. As a result, Sony is dumping money into playstation while Xbox isn't as much.

8 AntwortenYou forgot to mention that the millions paid by Sony also pays for common content that both PS and Xbox players get at the same time (not just the exclusive items) so Xbox players do get some benefit from this as well

The echo mind strike sounds terrible. Without two exotics and a strike with terrible feedback the game still feels great to me on xbox, and all I'll really say is just that I'm kinda disappointed but I really don't care overall.

Don't even care about the exclusives, I can live without them, and I will. The problem behind them is the principle of having to wait for so long for content such as this. If Destiny can get away with it, what stops other games from doing the same?
