Separate Playlist for Guardians after Going Flawless
What I am suggesting here is that characters who have gone flawless that weekend would be placed in a separate playlist from the normal trials playlist. This would only be per character per weekend. You can still do the bounties and the daily gold tier bounty just on a flawless playlist. This would still allow for competition against normally flawless players in the normal trials playlist but also allow for new guardians to experience the lighthouse by allowing for further competition against other guardians who haven't reached the lighthouse that weekend.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?
Edit1: So I may not have made this clear, but what I am suggesting is that all players will play on the same playlist for trials until that character achieves flawless victory. I am simply stating that once that character goes flawless that weekend and they wish to continue playing that they play in a separate flawless playlist.

If you want to go flawless you have to get 9 wins with no losses right? Well since this is the beginning of the new trials in rise of iron this is a lot easier to make my point. Tell me how it's that I buy my card, run two matches doing well and then all of a sudden I'm put against 3 players all with flawless emblems.....that means my 3rd match I'm put up against a 9 win group, regardless if they bought a new card. They done got flawless and here they are again getting matched against my group with only 2 wins so far. That......is dumb. I understand that going flawless should be challenging (i.e. you must beat people that are trying, that have the same amount of wins and are stressed as much as you because your trip to the lighthouse is at stake), but playing against that ninth win should only be once not every frigging match up from the beginning. I suggest that people who go flawless when they go to reset their card, it should have 9 wins locked onto it so they will only match up against other players with the 9 wins. Making it easier for them to acquire their scarab emblem, which apparently is a feat to do as I have friends that played all weekend long every weekend for like a month or two without acquiring it. Plus it will allow people who haven't gone flawless yet to play a fairer run. I know the trolls will jump on this and say "get gud bruh" and other asinine remarks so go ahead. I get it.....your just afraid that getting put up against players of the same skill level or higher will show by dropping your ELO because your not as good as you thought you were, farming out ELO by going back and playing against casual gamers. Isn't that how you acquired your ELO score anyway? I believe my idea could really make the game more competitive as ELO scores would reflect skill instead of how many times you went back and wrecked casual gamers just trying to go to the lighthouse once and then be done for the weekend. Everybody wants loot from the victory. I know people who can't even get the 5 wins reward because you people going back just to farm ELO....either that or just to be a d-bag. I know....you all enjoy stroking your e-pein, but I suggest why don't you go see who's really the best. Myself.....I just want the gear, emblem and shader and whatever other loot and I'm good. I used to go flawless on every character every weekend year one, then everybody turned into a sniper year 2 and now.....it's just stupid. Matchmaking is broke as all hell and it needs tweaking. #truth #thestruggleisreal

1 AntwortenI play trials for fun and for the bounties. I ain't really fussed about going to the lighthouse. You don't get any better equipment than what you would achieve in game and the armour remains the same. Literally I would only ever want to go for the Grimoire and and the Emblem. I would rather play with my friends and have some fun. Seems like a lot of players have forgotten what this is nowadays.

It would just reduce the amount of players that were able to match with at a given time and make search times even more ridiculous. But the only way this could happen is if people in the separate, let's call it "winners bracket" get special rewards for going flawless again or get access to a new area in the social space. But that would just make people even more salty, so yeah, your idea sucks. Trials is fine the way it is tbh. Going flawless is not for everyone. Bungie designed the gamemode that way for a reason. When Trials first came out, I didn't think I was good enough to go flawless. I thought it was only for the best of the best and the streamers. "Win 9 games in a row without losing?" That seemed impossible to me. But I soon quickly realized that I was just selling myself short. I started playing with some friends who were around my skill level and now I go flawless pretty much whenever I want. I now have a 1800 elo and a 1.7 kd in Trials. Get better, get carried or just except the fact that Trials isn't for you. And guess what... that's totally OK.

If the point... or so I see a lot of people saying here is "Isn't the point of Trials beating the best of the best to go flawless?".... you're kind of making this guys argument for him. Wouldn't the ultimate test of accomplishment be winning nine games without losing in a separate playlist of people who have already gone flawless and not against a bunch of "average" or players new to Trials with a 1000 elo (not that elo means anything in the world of skill) or are the "good" players just worried about losing their easy wins and having to play the best of the best?

I'd think this would need an incentive for the flawless runners. Maybe have an emblem that can only be gained after going flawless in a flawless-only-trials.

Your flawless run wouldn't feel nearly as good. If you don't earn it, don't expect it to be special.

What's the difference between being carried by top notch players, or wanting to work hard against players of a similar ability to earn your flawless? Here's a change to discuss: If your overall Kd on the passage card is negative you cant go flawless. Ie no more carries.

1 AntwortenI thought Trials is for the best/competitive players to go head to head? Its suppose to be difficult to get to the Lighthouse. Why not just make it so a 3 win streak gets you in? How about 1 win gets you a guaranteed loot drop? Maybe make it open to everyone, no point in actually earning it at all, just free handouts for all! They could even add a new feature, each lose gives you a boost in the next round, 3 loses in a row and spawn with full super, then everyone wins!! 😄

Nope. Many have suggested it before and been laughed at, same with your post. Trials is [b]the[/b] end game PvP mode. Want a separate playlist for those who are doing well? You shouldn't be playing it. Maybe a nice casual game of control would be better

Absolutely not. But for an optional elimination playlist to open up when you go flawless where you're matched with the sweatiest of the trials players might be fun for some. That's also where you should get scarab type emblems.
