So the title sounds a little harsh, but I'm honestly just baffled and looking for genuine answers. The King's Fall raid has been out for almost a calendar year. However, there are still a lot of guardians who are unable to perform the platform jumping at daughter's or know which plate to go back to (the argument over plates or numbers being a big problem at daughter's).
Question 1: Why do people insist on doing numbered plates at daughter's? A good group should be able to adapt to either method. However, when you're in a PUG or with less experienced players keeping the same plates is the safest option. No one has to stop and look for the relic and then count until they figure out which plate to run to. You just run to the same plate unless you're torn and then at that time you would call out your plate position for the previous torn person to cover that plate. Easy Peasy. AND YET people insist on doing numbers so that these newbs can all stand around with pee dripping into their tireless striders not knowing where to run to. I don't get it.
Question 2: Why can't people platform jump after all of this time? Enough said. WHAT THE F!!!!
I did LFG last night and some titan put a bubble on top of the group trying to shoot at Ir Anuk. OMG. Needless to say it was too frustrating to take my baby huntress (who I created on Saturday) through the raid.
Before King's Fall was released I believe Bungie put out a stat saying that only around 17% of guardians had completed a raid. I would bet that number is even lower with the King's Fall Raid and (in my opinion) is the reason the Rise of Iron raid will be dumbed down for people and will not be *as* fun to run. Instead of requiring skill and execution (as well as light level) the RoI raid will see success more based on how high your light level is rather than light level and performance in the raid. WHY is this necessary? Are people no longer born with opposable thumbs?
Information on the new raid was taken from http://gamerant.com/destiny-rise-iron-raid-level-wrath-machine/ which is taking it from the Game Informer interview.
This is the internet so I'm sure all of you snarks will have something to say but I am not trying to be mean in any way here, I am genuinely befuddled.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von ColumboWormGod: 8/24/2016 2:49:18 AMAs fun? Kings fall is the least fun of all the raids. So many people have said so. I totally agree on the plates though. That's why I always try and take middle. I tried to get people to call it out, but 3rd plate always got on to early. Every time we fail once because of a glitch. and EVERYONE leaves. Completed it once. Trying once more just to get the helmet.

Because they don't want to learn, this new gamer generation wants it all done for them. Can't count how many times I've tried to teach Oryx and either somebody jumps off the edge because they don't want to jump or they don't know what "counter-clock wise" is. This stumps me, I learned counter-clockwise is 2nd grade...

4 Antwortenreal question is who still does Kings fall?
-
I was trying to do lfg with my friends cause he needed oryx challenge mode and the randoms we got were so helpless. Oh my god I wanted to die.
-
Quite simply because there's too few people willing to spend an extra 5 minutes explaining everything to them, doing a trial run so they know what to expect and being patient especially with lesser skilled players. A friend and myself took 4 newbies in and they did quite well, until oryx where we persisted with them for 3 hours until they finally finished it, it's pressure that was causing their problems but I would run a raid with any of them again in a heartbeat they all listened and took on board what we said, not one of them gave up or raged and we're all very thankful and courteous towards us for helping. I know not everyone is that much of a pleasure to play with and there lies the problem, generally speaking peoples attitudes stink and ends up in failed raids.
-
some people, like me, just started playing a couple months ago. I don't have a dedicated group and all the PUGs I get into give up at Oryx.. However last night I get a good PUG we roflstomp through everything, except Oryx and as we finish the fourth round and should have killed Oryx the damn Raid lags out and we get the enrage timer and boom there goes the team lol

2 AntwortenSome of us had no one to do the raid with til recently, and didn't trust LFG.

1 AntwortenThese people are not familiar with the liturgy against fear. This is what inhibits their ability to achieve at the highest level. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Cause it's tedious?
-
2 AntwortenBeacuse everyone doe's not have enough time to play the raid.. Ppl have Jobs, school and kids and etc..
-
Why do people die so much on totems? Wether it be in middle when they HAVE A BUBBLE, or the sides. Why can't middle kill the knights and do their job, and why can't the sides just stay alive for once?!
-
1 AntwortenTotally agree. People who can't do that kill me. Like I get that many haven't run a raid. Kinda sad, since it's the best PvE experience in the game, but whatever. What I DON'T get is how people can't listen to instructions, can't use common sense, and can't complete JUMPING puzzles. They are literally the easiest part of EVERY raid and yet I still hop across first try, might die once on a slip up, and then I sit there for a solid 10-15 minutes while everyone else re-learns to jump. It's such an easy skill. It's jumping FFS. Ugh. Just listen to people who've done the raid and use common sense and raids, even KF, is SUPER easy.

I don't know if im good or bad cause i have never done the raid, my original raid team left before house of wolves came out, i have been alone since then.
-
1 AntwortenIt's 100% just knowing what to do, but the player just don't have the minds to do anything but hold right trigger

3 AntwortenQ1: Preparation for the Oryx encounter where numbered is largely preferred and arguably more important. Q2: Destiny isn't a platformer, people didn't buy a platformer. Not everyone is good at platformers. Realise the question you're asking is too broad to give an actual answer. Of course some people aren't going to know everything about the raid. Only the hardcore/masochistic are still doing raids now. Most people did their bare minimum and moved on. If you have such a problem with LFGers then get a dedicated team together.

5 AntwortenBecause I suck. At like, everything.

Probably because there was a sale somewhere a few weeks ago, or people are trying to get the MoT Y2 done

I know your pain and I basically only run with LFG Groups...A year into the raid I am surprised to find 333+ people unfamiliar with the raid, if their low light etc I understand and I help sherpa but c'mon if you played the game since TTK you should know how to run it by now at least. Its even in the moments of Triumph. Again I do not mind to sherpa but I do agree on this subject. Also no offence to some people but If we explain something to a newbie new guy who never did it, and he fails a few times I do not mind, but spending 2 hours on one part of a raid because he won't learn, well you get kicked out sorry. Thanks

I am for sure not one of the most experienced raiders, but I think a clan is best for them.

It's why I don't attempt kings fall anymore
-
ive never even been invited to do kings fall raid. wont have a clue how to do it on ym xbox, ive only seen it on youtube
-
For me, I've had a terrible experience after terrible experience. I work a lot of hours and don't have a lot of time to play. I also like other games. My friends have more time and get the raids done before I can get on. LFG was terrible w/Crota. I never had Ghorn drop til about 2 weeks before Xur sold it a 2nd time. It left a bad taste in my mouth. So I never felt eager to do Kings fall. My buddy been trying the last couple of weekends to run me through. We can't get past totems without a checkpoint. Did do golgoroth challenge a couple of weeks ago though. The rewards holy smokes! I've missed out, but oh well my loss...

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von I Have 2 Mums: 8/24/2016 1:52:13 AMIt's probably got something to do with elites and sweats not helping people who are new to the raid....with doing the god damn raid! People are not going to learn how to do something if others don't teach them... Yeah YouTube videos help teach but they are no where near the real thing
This community sickens me, get a grip and help a "kindergaurdian" through the raid and that will set off a chain reaction of help "kindergaurdians" through the raid!!!
