So the title sounds a little harsh, but I'm honestly just baffled and looking for genuine answers. The King's Fall raid has been out for almost a calendar year. However, there are still a lot of guardians who are unable to perform the platform jumping at daughter's or know which plate to go back to (the argument over plates or numbers being a big problem at daughter's).
Question 1: Why do people insist on doing numbered plates at daughter's? A good group should be able to adapt to either method. However, when you're in a PUG or with less experienced players keeping the same plates is the safest option. No one has to stop and look for the relic and then count until they figure out which plate to run to. You just run to the same plate unless you're torn and then at that time you would call out your plate position for the previous torn person to cover that plate. Easy Peasy. AND YET people insist on doing numbers so that these newbs can all stand around with pee dripping into their tireless striders not knowing where to run to. I don't get it.
Question 2: Why can't people platform jump after all of this time? Enough said. WHAT THE F!!!!
I did LFG last night and some titan put a bubble on top of the group trying to shoot at Ir Anuk. OMG. Needless to say it was too frustrating to take my baby huntress (who I created on Saturday) through the raid.
Before King's Fall was released I believe Bungie put out a stat saying that only around 17% of guardians had completed a raid. I would bet that number is even lower with the King's Fall Raid and (in my opinion) is the reason the Rise of Iron raid will be dumbed down for people and will not be *as* fun to run. Instead of requiring skill and execution (as well as light level) the RoI raid will see success more based on how high your light level is rather than light level and performance in the raid. WHY is this necessary? Are people no longer born with opposable thumbs?
Information on the new raid was taken from http://gamerant.com/destiny-rise-iron-raid-level-wrath-machine/ which is taking it from the Game Informer interview.
This is the internet so I'm sure all of you snarks will have something to say but I am not trying to be mean in any way here, I am genuinely befuddled.

Kingsfall is more like a dance than a raid. Step here, step there, jump, step here, step there, etc... Once you know the steps, it becomes very easy, and boring.

2 AntwortenWrath of the Machine will be less technical, yes! Haha.

3 AntwortenWow the new raid will suck then.

True dat about Daughters. My method is that when we get in, everyone except the person who is Torn chooses a plate or add duty. The person who got torn is assigned the last plate. Everyone stands there for a bit and memorizes who is where. For the second round, plate folk need to see if the relic is above their plate, and whoever is torn calls it out with their GT (if on add duty they can call out Sub Mid). The person whose plate has the relic over it then subs for them, whilst everyone else heads to their plate and checks where they are in the order.

2 AntwortenBecause it's a dumb raid. Wrath of the Machines will prob be my next favourite raid because it's running from stuff Mad Max style

4 AntwortenWhat console? You just need 3 experienced players who are willing to teach and 3 players willing to listen. Personally I find Vog or even crota alot more enjoyable then kf but I sometimes like to teach new players stuff and they like doing relevant content obviously.

4 AntwortenWhy are you still raiding in the first place? Are you not completely bored by it? Also to answer your post on how "genuinely befuddled" you are. Most committed/diehard guardians have done the raid to death by now. Many of them have either left the game, only play PvP, and/or cant be arsed to do it anymore - the number competent guardians is way down. There are even less sherpas around as they too have probably got bored with the raid! Secondly, there is no gear in raid (except maybe the MG) which is actually worth grinding for. Nothing to keep the keen beans raiding and fighting RNG for that one beautiful drop. Thirdly, after the april update the raid is not the only place to max light gear anymore. So why bother going through 1-2 hours of what can be frustration (as you've experienced) when you can run strikes/IB/ToO/PoE for max light gear? This only leaves newer players and casuals who probably don't know what they are doing or are not competent enough to do it, some people struggle that's a fact of life.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Michelle: 8/23/2016 4:25:11 PMNumbered plates is easier. If you all go to the same plate you most likely have a fourth and you don't need anyone on fourth plate. (Could be wrong, I don't play with you. Just assuming.) As for the rest of the topic, I agree. I understand newbies or people who have taken a break but I can't deal with experienced raiders who can't get a grip on their jobs. It baffles me how many people are shit runners and are 335 or can't stand on a plate long enough for the runner to get the relic. The Oryx boss fight gives me nightmares because of how many times we've failed due to stoned teammates or actual -blam!-ing retards. Edit: I have some pretty sad stories. At Totems especially.

1 AntwortenOne: All of the pro's got tired of it. Two: People still can't jump with their Alts. They won't take the time to practice. Patrol is a great place to do this. Practice jumping at FULL SPEED!!! I tried joining a raid a month ago and a guy was was running GS w/ Bones and couldn't figure out why he couldn't make jumps... I inspected his subclass and sure enough....Increased height. Three: Moments of Triumph, Only about 10-15% of the player base actually raid! This means you have around 50-60% of the 90 that don't raid flooding lfg to try and complete it just for MoT.

1 AntwortenJust get a group of people you like and who meet your expectations and play the damned game. Ya, enough time has passed that more people should know, but you've also had time to collect friends and set up regular fireteams at your skill and dedication level. Asking "why isn't everyone as good and dedicated as me? " won't get you nowhere. You probably can't find anyone decent because destiny became dry for a lot of us months ago and people r either waiting for roi or are done with destiny entirely lol

its because you need teamwork to complete. most people are used to being carried.

Bearbeitet von SOB BADD0GGIE: 8/23/2016 4:10:57 PMNot everyone raids. Of that group, there are those that want to complete the MoT. I've only got a single completion and that was very near the initial release of TTK. If I hopped into the raid now, I would very closely resemble a virgin KF raider. Not sure why that would be so "befuddling". I can understand some irritation if that information is kept secret, though. That's to say, not be forthcoming with being inexperienced. Edit for clarity: I know my inexperience with KF and I'm not actively trying to complete the Y2 MoT. There's no value in it for me.
