So, while idly reading through the Grimoire, I rediscovered the card for the Crucible map "The Anomaly" and realized that for a map literally made around some mysterious object, I have heard very little about or in reference to it. As I start to read back through the Grimoire to find possible references, have any of you other lore fans looked into this "Anomaly"? Is it simply a cool mysterious spacey sci-fi thing for a multiplayer map, or does it (like many things in Destiny) have some importance to anything from Destiny history, perhaps even future story? Perhaps there's something clues in the map itself (but we may not find them until we get Private Matches in RoI). I'll try to keep a list of known facts & references below. [b][u]Known[/u][/b] -On-site documents found only referred to the research station where the Anomaly is kept as "K1". -The Anomaly gives off "intense electromagnetic fluctuations". -Scanning the Anomaly has been unsuccessful, as "the casing is constructed in a manner that defies modern techniques". -Those who have spent time near the Anomaly started having insomnia, sometimes severe enough to be hospitalized.
