WAIT!!! DON'T COMMENT YET!
I'm not saying this so we can have more blood.
I'm not saying this so we can have in game sex.
I'm saying this so we can make the enemies as evil as they are in the lore. Example, the Hive lore wise are the most terrifying things ever. The light being ripped like skin from a guardian or being knifed by a weapon made from a ghost is scary as hell AND ALL IN THE GRIMOIRE. But because of the T rating we will never see the Hive as more than "They came from the moon and did all this spooky stuff off game."
The more evil the enemy, the sweeter it is to kill them. Its basic writing really, build up your antagonist instead of just shoving them in your face. The Taken King kinda did this with Oryx in the intro cutscene but have you guys read the book of sorrows? YIKES.
Please comment your thoughts below.
Edit: Okay l hear a lot of people arguing less people would play the game if it was M but do you think Bungie (Made Halo and the angry 12 year old) and Activision (Made COD and perfected the angry 12 year old) care about an M rating?
-
I personally agree however it's not going to happen. Bungie would most of their player Base if they did
-
1 AntwortenYes, if anything it will reduce the squeaker population by 1%. Even if it's ONE less squeaker to hear, it's a godsend to us all. Friggin hate squeakers
-
Tbh I don't think it would add anything. M rating is pretty much for blood/sex/drugs None of which would really add to destiny or the story it's trying to sell. They devs got the message across about the HIVE perfectly fine. And tbh I play destiny to have a good time being a space ranger who defeats evil (hunter :p) Their is enough blood and gore in the real world I don't need it in my entertainment too nor do I want my PTSD being aggravated by some devs trying to be edgy and cool

1 Antwortenimagine a cutscene where you have to save a guardian (or a flashback of Eris' fireteam) and it shows the hive performing a ritual while a guardian is chained in the center, they start to struggle as particles of light are ripped from them until they are reduced to nothing

Should be MA 15+, we all know this would be amazing ;)
-
It wouldn't make a difference to sales let's face it most parents would buckle and buy their brats whatever they want to keep them quiet anyway.
-
I would love that, but I doubt Activision would risk their pre teen audience.
-
2 AntwortenI dunno... I think there should be player housing and the ability to have group orgies after completing 6-man Raids at one of the Guardian's apartments (Joking btw, except the player housing part)
-
3 AntwortenIf the Crucible is like the current version, it should be free.
-
2 AntwortenIf they made it Rated M they could make Raids alot more difficult. Having it be rated T keeps them from making too difficult strikes or raids.
-
3 AntwortenI want an AO version, I wanna see fallen strippers and naughty ghosts.

-
1 AntwortenWe are the most terrifying things in the lore.
-
Should? Yes. Will? Nope.
-
1 AntwortenI think they should make the game they want to and not shoot for a specific rating. If it happens to be M then so be it, if it happens to be T that's okay too.
-
Yes, this game has too much potential.
-
Short answer: No Long answer: Nooooooooo
-
When you put it like that yeah I wouldn't mind an m rated destiny.
-
Thrall are creepy enough. -blam!- that.
-
I think if they put the grimoire in game it would have a lot more of a dead space feel to it so to speak. That and I liked halo mainly for the grunt dialogue (; you know what I'm talking about
-
I agree. I'd love for a darker way of telling the story. Everything just feels so unthreatening and lighthearted
