Anyone noticing inconsistency with point-blank shotgun shots?
Title.
For the last couple of weeks I have had an increasing amount of situations where my party crasher doesnt kill someone point blank.
My PC+1 has aggressive, range finder, rifled/reinforced and performance bonus.
Im finding it more consistent when i try and map someone with it.
Edit: tbh i didnt even think this would take off. Looks like many people are encountering this. Hopefully we can get bungies attention.
Edit: Some think it could be due to being "too" close to the enemy and the barely registwring past them. Others think it may be when you are moving or the enemy is moving.
We got to try and identify trends so we can isolate what might cause it... then again, it could be RNG.

Bearbeitet von wonseobshin: 8/19/2016 4:05:29 PMYES! I have 'The Comedian' and I know within a 205% certainty that I blasted the face off of my fellow enemy guardian but they take no damage. So I proceed to unleashed the rest of my clip into his/her back as they run/hop around because they can't believe they just survived (damn hunter/warlocks). Annoying as hell as now I have only have 9 more shots (started with 14 because of special ammo boots and exotic).

1 AntwortenI've just started noticing it during banner this week. Party crasher seems to be the most affected on my end. Two to the morgue has been consistent, on the good end.

1 AntwortenYep, noticed it happening a lot more often during Iron Banner. You'll point blank someone in the face and it just doesn't register or doesn't do the right amount of damage. On the flip side, I've occasionally been killed and witnessed others getting killed by shotguns from ranges that should not have done much of anything to the player. Gotta have something to do with lag, at least, that's all I can figure.

Point blank Hand Cannon shots on rushers as well are not hitting. Also Nova Bombs are not registering damage a little.

I have the best range roll on my party crasher my shot does 0 damage but I can get shot by the raid shotty and get 1 shot... Or my sniper/HC shots don't even register. Hell I uses to own with my TLW now I can't land a shot at all with the thing even while ADS

1 AntwortenYes. It's been times where I get the drop on someone first, shoot point blank, his health is a slither & I end up getting rekted. Leaving me saying "how the -blam!-...?"

2 AntwortenIt's the same for my Burden of Proof 9 shotgun. Idk why it does not register my kills which gives them a sliver of health left and they managed to kill me in one shot. Sorta BS for my part...and sorta with my bad lag connection before a baboon error code :/

Is the enemy dead center when point blank? Or are you only hitting them with half the spread?

Shotguns are the hand cannons of special weapons.

Funny, I have that issue with snipers. They literally will register no damage or as body shot damage when I know for a fact it was a head shot. It's not something that happens a lot, but it does happen. Same goes for shotguns. I just blame it on crap P2P connections. Let's be honest the game engine and connections are like 2012 quality. Thanks to last gen the game doesn't run like a modern game.

I've had shoulder charge, shotgun, sniper, and plain melee hits being ridiculously inconsistent

3 AntwortenIt's probably because you didn't hit with all of the pellets. Record your gameplay and replay it, often you have a shot but by the time you actually fire the target has moved such that your reticule is outside their hit box. My guess is they will survive unless all pellets hit, even point blank.

YES ! finally someone else experiencing this. U have the same problem with my party crasher, and I actaully broke my bed (don't ask) and quit for 3 weeks due to it consistently -blam!-in me over

I don't really like shot guns so I can't say from a users perspective. But being on the receiving end I have never survived a point blank shot, which makes me think it's a latency issue. Cause on my screen they never shot, but I bet on their screen they did.

4 AntwortenI think it is on every weapon. Today I was in an elevated position firing down on a titan with Sateriene Rapier, he could not have been more than 5 feet away. I could see the bullets hit him an him take no damage.

I think this is bungies way of forcing a fusion rifle meta.

Damage Referee was probably tweaked with Matchmaking settings being updated recently.

Yeah I see that. I even notice it with universal remote. The past few days I have basically missed a hand full of shots per game at point blank. There was even a guy in his menu that I ran up on and the first shot didn't even register and took 2 to kill at point blank
