Stop selling Destiny on PS3
Hello everyone
[u][b](PLEASE READ THE EDIT)[/b][/u]
Since im upgrading later on PS4 and still playing on PS3 i noticed there are ALOT of new players.
And most likely they buy the DLC too.
They start playing the game having fun, ranking up getting good gear and then they wanna play Trials or Iron Banner, its a part of house of wolves huh? Well nope, you need to buy a PS4 and the game again and all DLC and rise of iron. Yesterday i asked one of this new people on the tower if he knows about all of this changes, and no he did not, he just bought the game and wanted to play with his friends, he was looking forward to the next iron banner since he is not rank 40 yet. I told him that there will be no more iron banner or other events like Trials of Osiris.
He sendet me hours later a message that he deleted the game since there is no reason to play it or rank up, and that he wont upgrade to current gen.
I know you cant do anything against selling Destiny on disc, but cmon just take it off the PSN Store.

Okay i was thinking about it, and there should at least be a "Game is not longer supported on Legacy Consoles"[/b]

TL:DR I WANT A NOTIFICATION OR ANYTHING SAYING DESTINY NO LONGER SUPPORT LEGACY CONSOLES WHEN YOU GO TO PURCHASE THE GAME ON OLD GEN CONSOLES IN THE STORE!!! STFU EAT MY BUTCHEEKS LIKE A CUPCAKE.[/b]

It's not bungie fault their leaving legacy consoles behind, sony is putting pressure over gaming producers to stop support to ps3

I agree with this. Bungie should post a warning of sorts. Or Activision, or Gamestop, or someone. Plenty of good stuff out there on PS3 that isn't like that.

I wouldn't even tell you that it's obsolete if I didn't have to. You as a consumer should know what your buying. You even have thirty days to return the product. If you don't know you deserve to lose your money. Idiots shouldn't own money anyways.

They officially will continue to support legacy consoles. Your issue seems to be a misconception of how support is used in this industry. They will respond to any critical issues and continue to store and matchmake you through their servers. Aside from iron banner and too events, the game will remain and be fully available to play. It is, however, end of life support. The legacy consoles are holding them back and they're moving on. This is fairly common for aging hardware or software that's being phased out soon.

1 AntwortenA "warning" before buying the game is the least a PS3 customer shall expect in this situation. Otherwise I certainly would want my money back. I'm on PS3, and do not intend to upgrade so soon.. maybe next year.

Soooooo if you aren't informed in this day and age it's your own fault....most of us carry the interwebs around in our pocket all day....plus bad salesman at the retailer...this move by bungie is a selling point for retailers to get console sales, so hard to believe people aren't being informed at the point of sale

Why would they? They think we should all throw money at the screen... Even if it's a new legacy player throwing money only once at the screen. Bungie is one dodgy company nowadays, they've avoided how many law suits since Destiny's launch? One of their employees even xD he saw how bad it was getting...and some other unrelated things.

it's just the way these people do business nowdays, only things they state are stuff they believe good for self promotion, it's standard in most everything and i guess aimed at younger minds, by time they (we) all get fed up of this approach a new set of possible customers has attained the target markets reach, it'd be like them putting a option in pvp report feature that just lets us tell them the game is acting weird, just having option to blame a cheat or lagger keeps them insulated or that's what their told, similar to the messages after a disconnect, never one with 'We might be having traffic/other issues'.. seems thats just how things are done, you'd think telling a truthful statement on a store would be best policy, nah it's best to just say nought, it's getting old or perhaps thats just me!

'New gen' is current gen, they've been out for years. Players on legacy consoles should expect this kind of thing more and more as they are phased out. It's still a great game even without those activities and you can import your character to a current gen console if you make the leap. Bungie did more than they had too.
