I'm focusing on casual PvP and not trials when I say this. This is just my opinion, but I honestly believe that the weapons you choose for your load-out are only half the battle to winning in the Crucible. People need to stop crying to Bungie to please nerf everything that kills them. That weapon your opponent is using is not the issue . . . . . you're getting outplayed. I'm not talking about opponents with red bar connections and lag switchers because that's obviously out of your control. It seems like people wanna blindly flock to meta weapons. If I can just get that god rolled whatever then I will be swimming in the W's. Your core first person shooter skills will win you the game. Can you traverse the map fluidly and juke? Are you aware of choke points? Can you predict where the opponents will be based on what control points are capped, who just died etc? Is your aim solid to where you can land consistent headshots? Do you blindly run towards the radar ping? Do you use grenades and equipment effectively? If I constently keep getting killed by Joe Blow using his The Last Word/Longbow combo then guess what? He's outplaying me and every death will be a bit of lesson to me. I've been testing Green and Blue loadouts in the Crucible, and the results have been nearly the same as if I had chosen Legendaries and Exotics to use. I'm an average player but do manage to go positive consistently. Just find weapons that you click with and learn from your mistakes guys. No tears, only fun now.

I have apparently poked a beehive with a stick voicing my opinion, but then again that's how it always goes. I have always been anti-meta and liked challenging myself to get good with "inferior" weapons. That's just who I am. I will however retract my statement of "weapons you choose for your loadout make a minimal difference" to "weapons you choose for your loadout are only half the battle to winning in the Crucible."

I agree with you fully. The mentality and approach of the player dictates how the player feels and performs. I havent seen many "nerf" posts except for shoulder charge posts. The pvp us as balanced as ever in my personal opinion.

7 AntwortenDude I'm in the same boat as you entirely. I see you don't use shotgun often, i was the same. Sucked with it and it sucked getting killed by them lol. Then I tried a method that some pro dude done a video on. It's fun as well, although I'm just average at best in the crucible it's fun to mix it up and actually get better at certain weapons. I.e shotguns lol.. blabbing now. Anyways! Stormcaller. Claws of ahmkara Strength and intellect build preferably. Use amplitude for insane melee range And just rush people man, juke like a MF, its crazy fun. I was getting over 12 kills consistently every game. The 8th of this month ive started doing it and im actually hoping for shotty drops haha. I'm yet to get my head fully around sidearms, if you have a technique let me know!
-
Yep. That's definitely one of the top reasons why I got a bit better.
-
I often record the times I get killed and say "wtf how did he kill me?" Then I'll review the video and say "Oh, that's how he killed me I'll try not to do that next time." But man it still doesn't help with the salt.

I didn't read post, but I agree with the post title.

2 AntwortenAll these guys were totally getting outplayed https://youtu.be/lQeIlojbuz0

The first step to getting outplayed is to admit you've gotten better
-
2 Antworteni come from the WishYouLuck school of complaining. Blame lag, blame coding, blame devs, blame isp, blame meta, blame opponents, blame teammates, blame controller, blame headset, blame wife, blame sun, blame Deej... but NEVER blame yourself.

3 AntwortenYou ask, "can you predict the enemy spawns based on control points?" Have you played this game. Worst spawns ever. Could have just A flag die spawn at C flag and get killed by two people within 2 seconds. You have some good points but some stuff you just can't beat.

I'm going to disagree, and agree The first step to getting better. Is to realize when YOU have made a mistake. Too many times I hear people say "wow what happened" or "wow that was bs" You want to know something funny? I played trials this weekend with a friend. He brought some random from lfg and in one game I slide and shotgunned a Titan. He still killed me. I know, I missed my shot. I know... This guy is telling me. "Dude these phantom bullets are bs you had that guy" He was correct, I had him... But I missed my shot, and I said so and he kept insisting he took no damage. So I saved the game and watched it again and sure enough... I missed my shot, just as I know I saw. I tend to be pretty good at identifying my mistakes, and when I lose because of me, when I get out played, and when it's lag. Moral of the story, identify your mistakes, he conscious of them. Understand them, work on it, be better. Someone will always come around that will put play you, but being outplayed sometimes all comes down to what decision did you make and why didn't it work out? To know this, learn, and move on. That's the key. Even a bad player can out play you. Doesn't mean he is better than you.

I've been outplayed and I've been admitting it from the beginning.......and after 2 years .80 k/d ..... Yeah that shit don't work either.
-
Some weapons need a change because they are stronger than others in that category

1 AntwortenI'm 49, my reflexes have gone to hell, my vision is slowly following. I get outplayed every match. I have fun tho. Still have my games of 3.0 kd or higher but way more games under a 1.0. Oh well is what it is. I can't get consistent back to back matches to save my ass.

5 AntwortenYep year one thorn and last word weren't op
they were some thing are op not always gun skill
6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kreis: 8/15/2016 11:49:21 AMWell considering the "ease of use" and "time to kill" ratios, no, it isn't the first step. I.e. I'm using Fabian Strategy and you're using TLW, I die, you teabag violently, it's a good time. TLW is and always will be an amazingly easy to use gun. It's one of the few primaries besides the infamous Universal Remote that can counter shotguns, perfect for sniper users. The first step is getting the best guns you can get within the meta that suit your play style. Once you're running the meta, you can't really complain about the other people running the who are meta killing you. What's that? You wanna try new things in the crucible and be unique? Well you CANT do that shit. That's for LOSERS and you don't wanna be one of those do you? Don't worry though! Bungie's logic is "IF SOMETHING IS BETTER, BRING IT DOWN THE SHITHOLE WHERE EVERYTHING ELSE IS!" Instead of "IF SOMETHING IS BETTER, BUFF EVERYTHING ELSE UP TO PAR!" So one day, we will all be beating each other violently with sticks and guns that shoot foam darts.
-
Damn, I agree with this. Good read, thanks for the post.
-
Good post. But people in this day and age don't wanna hear this. They are pre-programmed to complain, be self entitled and feel everyone, everything and the world owes them something.
-
if get killed by "meta" then i will blame the "meta" but if i get killed by any other non"meta" gun i'll accept my defeat
-
4 AntwortenThis is a very foolish outlook to say that the gun you're using does not affect your play. Let's see you go up against a last word or doctrine of passing with a khvostov. Whether you have the tactical advantage or not, you're losing that battle 9 out of 10 times.
-
1 AntwortenSome options can still be categorically better than others, though the difference is smaller than it was in year 1

Very true.

10 AntwortenYou are correct about most of this. But Mida beats me in way too many situations. Is it because ONLY very skilled players that are outplaying me are using the Mida? No. It's just has too much Rock/Paper/Scissor in it. It really is the Multi Tool. Am i asking for a nerf to Mida? HELL NO! But all things considered----> if we are equally skilled and you choose the Mida Mult Tool as your primary weapon... I refuse to EVER say that you outplayed me when you kill me. It's just too easy to use and wins in places where other guns can't. So, i'm not a nerf herder or a whinehard... but i don't tip my hat to the Mida. I just don't.

1 AntwortenThis is some what true. However that doesn't mean a balan- "COUGH" I mean tuning pass isn't in order. Also with how straight terrible Bungie's servers are it's hard to ever admit someone out played you. I don't have the greatest internet. But I die around corners more often in this game then I do call of duty. Shots frequently don't register. And i've been in more than one trials match where people will straight tank a super and not die. Plus because of how bad the servers are the likely hood of you stopping a fist of havoc or nova bomb with a direct hit from a shadow shot is slim. Most of the time the attack still goes through. I've rarely stopped them mid use. Also I know that this isn't only me. Friend 1 I play with has a better connection and this stuff happens all the time. and friend 2 (whos upper middle class) has almost god tier internet and he still runs into these problems i've listed.

1 AntwortenIf this was halo where everyone started with the exact same load outs, then yes, most deaths will be the fact that you were outplayed. However in some scenarios it's simply a matter of some weapons are simply better than others. When i think of being outplayed, i think of someone having better gun skill, map awareness and movement skill. Not if their weapon was better than mine. In some cases i die, it's due to me not using the "meta" weapons. Now does this apply to every scenario? No, but it does to some.
-
I get outplayed in every aspect of every game I play. Halo? Die. COD. Die. Battlefield? Die. Destiny? Die. I'm getting to the point where I HATE playing games online because of all the sweatys.
