I'm focusing on casual PvP and not trials when I say this. This is just my opinion, but I honestly believe that the weapons you choose for your load-out are only half the battle to winning in the Crucible. People need to stop crying to Bungie to please nerf everything that kills them. That weapon your opponent is using is not the issue . . . . . you're getting outplayed. I'm not talking about opponents with red bar connections and lag switchers because that's obviously out of your control. It seems like people wanna blindly flock to meta weapons. If I can just get that god rolled whatever then I will be swimming in the W's. Your core first person shooter skills will win you the game. Can you traverse the map fluidly and juke? Are you aware of choke points? Can you predict where the opponents will be based on what control points are capped, who just died etc? Is your aim solid to where you can land consistent headshots? Do you blindly run towards the radar ping? Do you use grenades and equipment effectively? If I constently keep getting killed by Joe Blow using his The Last Word/Longbow combo then guess what? He's outplaying me and every death will be a bit of lesson to me. I've been testing Green and Blue loadouts in the Crucible, and the results have been nearly the same as if I had chosen Legendaries and Exotics to use. I'm an average player but do manage to go positive consistently. Just find weapons that you click with and learn from your mistakes guys. No tears, only fun now.

3 AntwortenI shouldn't get headshotted by a sniper in shotgun range. They need to change how snipers work and lower the EZ aim.

Yes. I can admit that. Bad decisions, missed shots and better players. It's all fine if you learn from it. I myself rush toi much and my biggest enemy on the field is "hubris". Myself and my ego. But I'm working on that.

Didn't read the actual post but as somebody who is quantifiably "good" at things other than Destiny--100% yes. God's word. you're never as good as you think you are, and if you think you are, step outside/into the real world and ask somebody to reality check you. Moment you realize this you start getting better. Reality checks are harsh as a mother-blam!-in rusty spike enema if done correctly.

Guarantee OP is a shotgun shoulder charge titan

27 AntwortenI think a lot of you are missing the point of this thread. I think what the OP is talking about is everyone immediately dumping blame on everything else but themselves. There is no weapon or subclass choice that stands you head and shoulders above your competition. In crucible you are the weapon and the guns and subclass you use is merely the toolset. A lot of you are calling out the stats of the OP which I think is fair (they're pretty bad) but at least he's saying that it's his fault and not the game or the weapons he's chosen. He's owning his own bad play and not running to the forums and whining about the latest gun that killed him.

Bearbeitet von The Devourer: 8/17/2016 1:01:23 AMI agree with you except for one thing. In destiny, particularly y2, all the maps are too small to he having choke points. That is an issue especially when it comes to balancing special weapons.

If the other players didn't have weapons or abilities it would be impossible to outplay me😉
-
I figured the first step to getting better at crucible was to figure out what gear and class you are comfortable with and work best for your play style....each to their own...I suppose...😜

1 AntwortenFirst step : Recognize that bungie servers are shit Second step: Opponents connection is a lie Third step: It's probably your connection

Yah when someone eats my bullets, shoots me through walls, kills me with a last word from across the map, or the entire team is camping with snipers at spawn
-
Unless it's lag and I get shit showed by Arcblade from a guy across the map and he doesn't even have Arcblade active

2 AntwortenMe when I played with friends: "where's the help; you guys are trash" Me when I played alone: "god I -blam!-ing suck!"

No it's bullshit, I die too much because of final round Icebreakers.

1 AntwortenI can tell you now, weapons have nothing to do with it. I found a Rare Pulse Rifle with headseeker and it has the exact same Rate of Fire as Grasp of Malok. It's a 308 attack so using it in Iron Banner or Trials probably isn't a good idea but it wrecks in normal PvP. I also found a Rare Auto Rifle that has the same Rate of Fire as Doctrine of passing but it has that Focused Fire perk and the slow rate of fire kind of makes it useless but when it's hip-fired it is a god damn bullet hose. Anyway, it's just as you say, knowing your surroundings. Being able to read people makes things easier too. If you know the way projectiles work, you'll pull off some pretty cool things.

4 AntwortenAnd yet Bungie keeps rebalancing weapons. Usually when I get 'outplayed' by a good player, it's a good player using the meta. Maybe those players should also admit that what they're using is overplayed.

I will agree with this. Yesterday I was playing control. Kept getting shotgunned by this one guy blinking around me. Kept getting pissed. One time he blinked, completely disappeared for a sec. He killed me again. I said aloud, wow, I admit, I got outplayed. That was good. Next time I found him, he blinked again, I shotgunned him before he actually appeared there. I kept consistently landing shots on him where ever he ended up with the blink.

Hey. When a handcannon can be used as a sniper don't tell me I was outplayed. God Y1 was ridiculous sometimes.

1 AntwortenNo, the first step is using a sniper. Here's a few.
Felwinter's Lie, Party Crasher, and Conspiracy Theory -D.
Na fam when I see someone shooting me through a damn Boulder/wall that's where I draw the line and rage and it happens way too often.
