So I don't know if anyone else has had this but I've been meeting year 2 players that have never touched Crota or Vog and if they have they only did Atheon in order to get No Time to Explain. I find it so sad that new players are choosing not to the older raids. Before doing these raids was crucial in leveling up your character and getting better gear and now not so much. These raids used to be so crucial to the endgame and many people new people aren't even doing them now.
I personally would love to have these raids updated. Even if they weren't updated to the point of dropping 330-335 gear making them so that they are viable options for leveling would be awesome. Like if VoG were to drop gear from 260-290 and Crota from 290-305 or something like and still be able to infuse the gear dropped. Can't forget that lol. This also gives more options to look different from everyone which is something Bungie has said they would fix and while they have to an extent everyone still looks the same to me.

It's not all bad. Some people get really confused when they hear a cursed thrall explosion or see a full auto fusion rifle in crucible. I had one who messaged the whole match asking if anyone saw or heard a cursed thrall. I was on the floor.

2 AntwortenTLDR Your late by months.....

You know how KF had its own quest? Just give us a VoG & CE quest that rewards us with 280 infusable raid gear.

2 AntwortenBetter idea. Make the DLCs relevant again. I never got experience it because I came in July 2015. I was a little late but I didn't buy the DLCs until mid August which was a bad idea. Lol

Bearbeitet von Quaddity: 8/15/2016 4:25:14 PMIt seems silly to me that Bungie would put all the work into those raids and then just leave them behind. Up the light on everything, throw in some Y2 exotic drops, 3oC, emotes, etc. leaving the old raid gear the same. I had a lot more fun running those raids back in the day then I did Oryx.

Bearbeitet von Slackerr_26: 8/15/2016 4:36:40 PMIt's unfortunate that Bungie hasn't done a single thing to get people back into the old raids, unless they're looking for the raid exotic or finishing up the No Time quest. I don't think it would even take much to get people to play them. The year 1 raids were a ton of fun to do, especially with a group of friends. Even if it was just something simple like 25 legendary marks for your first normal completion or 35 for a hard mode run each week, I think quite a few people would regularly participate in them again. They don't even have to change the weapon and armor drops, just bring them up to date in providing legendary marks when dismantled. Vault of Glass is the best experience the game has to offer IMO, my first ever run was one of my favorite moments I've ever had in a video game.

The old gear was relevant and can be relevant again if Bungie and some members of the community can take a moment and think outside the box a little. Activities are only relevant when the gear can make you stronger and/or give you and extra edge in any one or more activities. The gear in VoG dropped gear that did more damage to Oracles and made orbs when you killed specific Vex. Gear in CE did more damage to Hive majors. The gear in KF does more damage to Taken. The gear in PoE got a little to excited and made things do damage to minor targets instead of majors in some cases, maybe not the best idea. The only boundaries from making VoG and CE gear relevant are the perks, elemental damage, and infuse-ability. For example VoG weapons could do more damage to Vex majors, drop the element damage, and have the ability to infuse them. So next time you are doing Nightfall or PoE and have to fight Vex you can use that full-auto scout rifle that does more damage to Vex majors you got from VoG. Or when your fire-team is struggling with getting up your supers during a session of PoE with the trickle modifier active while fighting Hive you can swap out your helmet with the one that gives you a chance at an orb of light when you get a precision shot of a Hive Cursed Thrall you got from CE. The level at which the gear drops is irrelevant as long as it can be upgraded and serves a purpose that is better than an alternative in a particular situation. Some might not care about whether it takes five shots vs three shots to take down a major with a faction specific perk on it. The fact is that if it would be an edge and if the activity is hard most will choose the right tools for the job. Also keep in mind that PvP weapons don't need to be awesome in PvE and PvE weapons don't need to be amazing in PvP. Its OK to have one gun for Iron Banner and a different gun for PoE. Sure you can use gear across the board like that, but its best to use the gear with the perks best suited for the activity you are playing. This subject really only concerns those that want to take the time to make a great build for any given activity that suits their play style. If that's not you then you should move on to other topics. This subject is not relevant to your play style.

59 AntwortenI've been playing since beta and I only ran VoG to get No Time To Explain. The game should never, ever revolve around a single activity above all else.
-
I have never run either on this account and unlikely to ever run them. Nobody wants a bunch of obsolete gear. No matter how great it looks or how powerful they were. Never did get the Foil and probably won't given its ridiculous drop rate.

2 AntwortenIf we bring Crota's End back. People will complain about the lack of content due to people one-manning the raid, easy. If Vault of Glass comes back people will complain that the Gorgons are over-powered (let's face it, people will) plus no body will run relic ever, and when they do... *FLASSSSSSHBAAAAAAACK* Dude, cleanse me. Dude. Dude. Dude I'm blind. Dude I'm -blam!-ing blind, -blam!-ing cleanse me for -blam!-'s sake. *guardian down*

I've been playing both old raids regularly for awhile now, since KF 1) had nothing left to offer and 2) is boring and tedious AF. VOG is still the best of the lot, but I've gotten to love the quirks and maybe even the brokenness of CE. Yeah, also, Crux hasn't dropped for me yet. :p

1 AntwortenI did Crota last night... Just not the same. What a joke!
-
People still take this game seriously?
-
4 AntwortenThey don't need updating The structure of the game should've made it so you couldn't progress to doing the next dlc until you had finished the pve end game content of the current one. No dark below if you haven't beat vog. No house of wolves if you haven't beat crota On the flip side. If they did update these raids then your reward should be legendary marks, motes of light, strange coins or glimmer. Reason being, you'd see that hardly anybody would bother with the old content because their precious fatebringer would still be obsolete But since all these posts claim they just the raid, the lack of guns and armour shouldn't be an issue right ;-)

8 AntwortenOld Raids > King's Fall VoG > Everything else

I do it for nostalgia and to see what I missed I played vanilla but missed HoW and CE

1 AntwortenI'm a year 2 player. Me and 3 friends (all these friends were year 1) did VoG and Crotas End in 1 night. That was awesome. Second time I had done VoG first time doing Crotas End. Really disappointed in the length of Crotas End, it felt like a strike. I'll never forget my first time going into VoG though. That was so great.

1 AntwortenStop this now.

VoG and crota should be bumped up . Yr1 was fun we had skolas crota and vog . Now all we have is oryx and he is pretty lame .

I loved VoG, would be happy to see it return. Thought about going back in to re-collect gear but my vault is full of engrams at the moment.

3 AntwortenYou're saying it's sad that people are not playing the old raids that do nothing to empower or level up their character? There is no significant benefit to play the previous two raids, therefor players are not going to be clambering over them for the rewards.
-
3 AntwortenI think it's stupid as hell not to have activities that you can't boost the difficulty. Not only for raids but for everything in this game. Story modes and strikes should also be included. What's my motivation to do VoG or CE? Nothing really. What's the sense of doing sepkis prime when its what, a level 8 strike? Just have it so we can choose the level to play it at. Why go through and program all this cool stuff then make it irrelevant? Stupid ass thinking I tell you. Oh, and I don't give a crap about the "that's how mmo type games are". Nobody said it had to be that way. Make all of the game relevant and as the dlcs get added, that's just more stuff we can do!!
