For those of you angry over Thorn's return, understand something
Thorn isn't even that good anymore. What are you so worked up about?
Also, there stands the possibility that bungie will completely rework the gun. Doesn't this seem likely? Bungie went to lengths to make sure thorn disappeared forever; why would they then bring it back unless they had the intention of reworking it?
Or am I making too much sense?
Even if they leave it as is, it's still a pretty mediocre gun now, so shut the -blam!- up about "the return of the thorn meta".

Seriously, after everything...people really are worried about the thorn; oh man, my mom would be livid if she seen me act like a bitch about something like this in a video game. I hate everyone.

You would think these people that gang up on people that ask for nerfs would proudly accept this estranged weapons return. Especially, since nerfs have taken away Thorn's exotic perk for the most part.

4 AntwortenIt's the bad memories that Thorn caused that makes people not want it to come back. It's not overpowered anymore it's actually in a good spot to be honest and should be safe to come back. It's just that when you have someone deal with something for so long and that thing is something bad, people will end up hating it.

Agreed the gun is week, rarely get killed by it in crucible now and rarely see it.

1 AntwortenThorn is NOT ONLY not good anymore, but it's not thorn. It's just a high rate of fire, low impact hand cannon that does about 2 damage over 4 ticks over time. It's just like how the last word isn't last word anymore. You can't hip fire anymore and expect to come out of a gun fight alive. THIS IS THE POINT OF THESE GUNS AND EXOTICS. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIFIC TRAITS THAT ARE MEANT TO APPLY IN GAME. WITHOUT EXOTIC PERKS, THEYRE JUST ANOTHER GUN.

lol! Mediocre gun used by all tournament players along with the matador. yup mediocre. No matter how they nerf it Thorn and TLW will always be the best because of their core designs. Only if thorn was reverted to vanilla state then yeah I would agree that it was not as strong but rewarded a skilled hand. As is thorn is a low risk high reward weapon no matter how you sugar coat it

Personally, I despised the hell out of Thorn back during that godawful HoW, Meta. It was and still is annoying to fight against. That being said, I'm fine with it returning in Year 3 but I really don't want it to be buffed up again because: 1.) It's gonna ruin the Meta again, and I think people'll go back to using this as a crutch, again. :/ 2.) If they do buff it, then the forums'll become Salty posts again of people asking for nerfs and people's only counterarguments are gonna be "Use Memory of Silimar and stop bitching nub,: 3.) If it gets a buff, even though there'll be a Artifact to counter the DoT effect, I don't want to feel like I'm being forced to use the artifact in every encounter I go in when playing PVP. This would totally only lead to everyone having the same, boring builds.
