Ok, so I've been trying out the crucibles and I've been having a really hard time with them. I can't get a kill. I know the action is fast, so most of the time I am just running around unloading my ammo. When I think I've scored a kill, by the end of the match I learn I haven't.
Any thoughts? Tips?

Destiny is a slow paced game. Primary TTK is really bad. So if you think its fast peace then that's where you start. (Add the fact destiny is 30fps.)

1 AntwortenSince you have a warlock run void walker since it is an easy to use subclass and has a high skill ceiling (meaning you can be new to the game and be successful with it, but also very skilled and have more success) sunsinger is a very niche playstyle right now and I wouldn't recommend it for pvp, can't say for storm caller since I don't have one. If you plan on sniping pick one scope and stick with it, pick up the quest conspiracy theory d for shotgunning as a starting point as it is a solid shotgun, fusions aren't viable in end game competitive play (3v3) so I wouldn't waste my time. For a primary, the vendor Hawksaw is a god roll gun, very reliable and consistent, pick it up and stick with it until you get good. If you are new to fps games only use this primary, it's good for mid (longish) to short range and using one gun will help build your primary gun skill. If you aren't feel free to switch it up. As a beginner in the game I'll tell you what worked for me. Don't focus on getting kills, focus on staying alive, search up mtashed crucible school on YouTube that's what helped me get good

Practice alot and youtube can help too there's a couple destiny channel that gives trick to get better at crucible like: truevanguard,Nkuch. But the real trick is to find a weapon that suit your play style and to practise alot with that weapon so you know at what range you can win the gun fight and when you can challenge someone or not.

2 AntwortenI see many different strategies on how to improve. Some of them are just to piss You off and some are quite good. I struggled in the beginning. I was unaware of how all the maps looked like and thought "how am I going to learn the maps if I get killed ALL the time". After watching a bunch of tutorials online I started to get a hang on where the masters of this game(sort of) pay special attention on different maps - where they position themselves and how they engage their enemies. After trying these out for some time I learned some of the maps and it felt rewarding. Next steps were "stop rushing". I had such a problem with that, if I saw a red bar enemy I persued to kill at any cost - unaware that he was baiting me towards his team or that he was trapping me into a narrow corner where he could shotgun me in the face almost without risk. What to do? Be more patient. Be aware of what You have available: grenades, is Your melee charged, what primary/special am I rocking, do I have my super ready? I got a bit better on how to engage my enemies, but still got surprised by "invisible" players sneaking around. I had to pay more attention to the radar: It's not that hard to pick someone off that You see on screen, especially if he's not looking at You - but it's harder to forsee what will happen when You don't. Learn how the radar works. If Your enemy crouches he disappears from the radar for a few moments. As do You, on Your enemy's radar if You crouch. So - try to slide as much as You can to juke Your opponents radar. Also, if You crouch for longer than a few moments You will show up blinking on Your enemy's radar in a more faded red color. And if You hang in the air You will be seen in that same faded color but all the time, like You were on the ground or on another floor. Use this to Your advantage, especially in doorways. Mind Your positioning, shoot from cover where Your enemies must have alot of precision to hit You - but from where You can hit them from top to toe. Also, if You have Your grenade charged - engage with that one first to prime Your targets and clean them up with Your primary of choice. If You are hurt, be aware of Your team mates. If they are in close proximity - hide or run away. THIS will feel VERY rewarding the first couple of times before it comes naturally: to almost get killed, ditch and survive, even maybe put You in a better position to kill Your enemy when he is only looking to pick You off since he recognized You had a red bar health. Well done, Your first successful bait! For this to work You need to be comfortable with the subclass You choose. Gunskill and sensitivity is always a factor ofcourse, so if You lack gunskill You need to outplay Your opponents with HOW You engage and how You run away or how You LET YOUR TEAM clean them up for You. Try this for a couple of games: don't die, whatever You DO, just don't die. It's hard for sure but it makes You more aware of positioning an usage of radar. Another thing, that messes with Your brain is sound. Try to mute Your TV set for a couple of matches. This will also force You to focus more on Your radar. I know there are alot more things to apply to get better, but I hope this helped. Just one more thing: stop double peaking! ;-) over'n'out!

Use a sniper and aim at head level around corners. Once your good at that you can go flawless in trials.

1: Sell your soul to Deej and Cozmo. 2. Acquire lag switch. 3. Become a god.

9 AntwortenOk, this is legit seeing your profile. First off, as soon as you have the Legendary marks, buy the Crucible vendor Hawksaw. It's the best Primary you can buy. Second, join New Monarchy. All of their weapons are pretty good, especially the shotgun and Machine gun. Third, watch for Exotics from Xur. For weapons, look for Mida, Invective, or Plan C. All are great uses for your Exotic. Fourth, make sure your Gloves match your Primary so you reload faster. Fifth, learn the maps. It's really the best way to get better. When you know the map you learn the exits when you get in a battle and can duck into cover if need be. Don't be afraid to run away if someone gets the jump on you. Also, use distance to your advantage. The Hawksaw has very little damage drop off. Sixth, have fun and know everyone started on the rough side. When you're pissed off (on tilt) you don't play as well. Do relax and enjoy.

4 AntwortenPVP breaks down into two basic things. Gunskill...and Mind skill. 1. Gunskill. The game is (at its heart) a FPS. You aren't going to "get good" until you can reliably aim your weapon accurately...and hit your intended target. PVP in FPS is about HEADSHOTS. Since they give bonus damage, and who does the most damage the fastest usually wins. So you need to practice landing head shots....and landing head shots while STRAFING (moving back and forth unpredictably so that you throw off your opponents aim). You can practice this anytime you're playing PVE. Don't just accept any hits. Disdipline yourself to go for precision shots. 2 Mindskill. IOW: Making good decisions...and making them quickly. This includes map knowledge, game sense, and tactics. This will only come from practice and playing LOTS and LOTS of Pvp. So you gradually learn the maps. What the traffic routes are...and how to effectively read your radar so you get a sense of where your opponents are...and where the "hotspot" are likely to be at any given time in a match. A good way to speed up this process is to use your console to record footage of you pvP. Then play it back. Keep records of both really bad games...and really good games. With the bad games look for bad decisions you tend to make over and over again. Look for stituations that you struggle with so that you can learn to avoid them...or better yet learn to anticipate them developing. With really good games. Look for what you're doing right. Look for patterns in gunfights you tend to win. Situations that tend to turn out in your favor and BUILD on them. Because those are usually clues as to what play style works best for you. I tend to play my best when I'm playing in a moving, flanking style, and looking for mid-range firefights. I can play in other styles....but THIS style is where I'm most effective and the way I'm looking to play unless the situation dictates otherwise. Hope this helps.

*Build lag switch *??? *Profit

2 AntwortenDo you have your eyes open during the game?

Just start lagging, seems to aid 90% of this games community...

Just use the "god like" weapons combination mida+good shotgun last word+good sniper you will get better only with practice But using this weapons u will not need it at all
1780hours of game play*
To be honest this is what I did to get better at Crucible (and this is my opinion). Learning to use one setup of weapons. I personally love Hand Cannons since Year1 (even though they were nerfed a number of times) they are still my favorite. But I suggest just practicing your shots in Patrol (sounds stupid right?) but it actually helps alot where you can pick and place your shots. But you don't have that much experience into the game yet, you'll get the hang of it.

Bearbeitet von qtcustom: 8/7/2016 3:00:57 AMDo the crucible bounties and the quests. I'm an average PVP player, but doing Thorn (I guess that's out) Chaperone, and First Curse as well as Mountaintop really made me drill down and now I can compete effectively. Practice with ALL the weapons. It will make you focus on techniques that apply across any load out. Take the extra time to aim for the head. You'll die a bunch at first, but once you dial it in you'll get consistent. Work with your teammates, even playing solo. Flanking, misdirection, tag-teaming and ambushing are your friends. Start with the long/midrange (scout and auto rifles are good here) and work your way out to sniper range or into CQB from there. Don't give up, Gaurdian. You WILL get better if you practice and learn from your mistakes. Have fun!

1 AntwortenWatch true vanguard on YouTube. He does a great job of explaining and breaking down why he does certain things in crucible and load outs etc. If you find you're rushing in and keep getting killed, try holding back and playing more passive. You might find you do better that way.
-
Use whatever class, subclass and weapons you feel most comfortable with and just keep playing. Eventually, you will learn the maps. Keep an eye on your radar. Getting good with the weapons you like to use just takes practice.
-
You don't. You're either born with it or you're not.

It's tough but everyone's got a different skill level. I'm usually quite good at fps's - destiny is different though and it can't be taken to seriously. You can be killed by so many different things and so quickly it's crazy. I started a hunter after the nerfs just because I hadn't used one yet, I like them as they are the most agile and seem to have that survivability. But anyway I raised my KD slowly from a 1.15 to a 1.34 - a couple of weeks not playing as consistent and I'm down to 1.32 - I imagine this will only go down now. I suppose the only way to get better is to learn the maps, know your play style and stick to it, and choose your encounter wisely. Finally always have an escape route in mind!

Vendor hawksaw Quest conspiracy theory Truth This is if you want to play agressive Vendor hawksaw Quest thousand yard stare or better roll you have on a high aim assist sniper Truth This Is if you want to play passive These are the basic load outs I recommend to everyone I help carry in trials. You really can't go wrong with either of these load outs, just work on your timing and you'll be decent enough.
-
try a variety of guns, and switch up your play style try to play more aggressive
-
try a lag switch........
-
Also pay attention to weapons you're using. They are not all equal. Go through ttk quest lines and be sure to pick up the consp theory d and 1000 yard stare. These are great options and are still used by players with 1000s of hours into the game and are very easy to get. Pay attention to xur each week to see what hes selling and pick up 3 of coins for a chance at an exotic weapon. If you arent getting any drops Id recommend the hawksaw from crucible vendor which would be a great starter. Also rank up your warlock's gunsmith for the Tlaloc.

Bearbeitet von Heidegger: 8/6/2016 4:34:53 PMPlay Rumble Skirmish/Salvage Record and watch your own gameplay. This will give you the ability to catch any mistakes you may have done during the match and correct them. Did you read the radar correctly? Why did you push into that right room with a scout rifle? I should have slid past that chokepoint You may have missed key headshots during an engagement and lost. Edit: Get used to your character and their abilities, everything at your disposal has to come to be second nature.

Make certain you pay close attention to your radar for enemy locations. Also not just 1 weapon is effective for very map in crucible. Get to know the perks of your subclass, and weapons. Adjust them according to your play style. I'm not excellent at PVP, but I hold my own. When I first began crucible I hated it for the same reasons you mentioned. But now for me it's the best aspect of Destiny. Good luck Bro.

2 AntwortenWhat worked for me was getting a high stability gun like hawksaw from the tower vendor which is perfect for controlled head shots. Learning the sweet spots on maps which means, setting up near high traffic areas where you can aim ready to take down the enemy. Keep your eye on the radar as much as you can. Learn from your mistakes and keep practicing and practicing. It worked pretty well for me. Good luck mate. Oh and depending what grenade you use, throwing a grenade towards an enemy and then finishing them off with a quick one two always helps.
