The cabal are coming
Every cabal commander has been killed in the system. The cabal sent off a distress message to their empire from their cruiser on the dreadnought. Even the cryptarch believes they are coming.
When they do come, God help us.

The tale of Paul the Thrall. Paul the Thrall lost his king when the guardians killed Oryx. Heartbroken, he watches as the guardians fight off the cabal, but they sent a distress beacon anyways. Years later, as Paul nears his end, he observes the conflict between the Cabal Emperor's Fleet and the guardians. Despite the guardians, under the sword logic, being their new deity, he decides this ultimatum under this phrase: "let them fight."
