Do you guys remember frickin cross map shotty felwinters lie? How about .9 second kill time vex mythoclast? Orr two tap cross map hip fire last word?? Two tap tracking thornnnn??? Freakin 1.2 second kill time Surous regime??? Cross map evaporating fusion rifles??? Final round sniper????Anyone? Anyone?? Guess I'm just old fashioned but 99 percent of the "Op" complaints are unjustified. I've seen op. True year one players, what weapons did I miss?
Edit: my numbers are not correct lol the kill times were actually lower I think but I don't know exactly. My point for the post was that people now complain about op stuff but they have no idea of the year one powerhouse weapons. For all those who posted correct kill times, seriously thanks!
Edit 2: a lot of love from the year one guardians that remember the good (and scary) times of year on pvp. Again I apologize for my incorrect ttk on weapons. Apparently a lot of people are butt hurt about that.
Vex was a 4-5 shot (pre nerf)
Surous was also roughly 6 shots (pre nerf)
Last word could 2 tap at any range. You do the math if you want the exact ttk.

The competitive guns in the game right now are all slightly above a .9 second TTK, so your numbers are very wrong.

Yeah it was stressful but I remember having alot more fun in PvP than year 2. And I really don't remember encountering any lag at all in year 1. Well not red bar gods anyway :P

Vex had a time to kill of about 0.5 seconds, suros 0.6-0.7

I mean people were legit defending it saying it wasn't op and that it should be that strong because it was earned through hard mode raid. Yes a pve reward should dominate in pvp. Perfect sense! 10 AntwortenI miss when thorn was the go to. Yea it was op. But people who had it you knew what it was like to earn a weapon. And it drove people to try to get it. And actually in my opinion helped you to play better to complete the bounty to aquire it. I'd rather have thorn back then this scout and sniper fest. And seen a youtube channel....she said that possibility of shotguns rule the crusable.....she played on the ps4. Yet on xbox it's a sniper fest it seems. I'm curious about the difference in how people play on either system. But somehow I think shotguns will get another nerf at some point now.

My good old Surous in PVP. My first Exotic, dam that gun was a head shot beast. PVP seemed more fluid and faster paced then, even with last round it never seemed such a snipe fest.

2 AntwortenThere's still a lot of room for improvement. Bungie has always had an annoying habit of completely neutering anything that had been overpowered at some point. I'm pretty sure fusion rifles, for instance, were nearly useless in Crucible until very recently. They'd been overnerfed.

The stuff people complain about now is just overused or slightly better than everything else, not overpowered, I mean people think last word is still op. It's not and if you say it is then your one of "THEM"

1 AntwortenO ya! Yr 1 days were the def of OP. Thing was those guns were so rare that you could go a few matches without coming across one. The result was more variety in the gun play. Now that MIDA, TLW, and the rest of the PvP flavor of the month lineup are so easy to get, there is less variety in the gunplay today. The guns aren't as OP as they were, but everyone is using them because they are better than average.
