I've seen some arguments about Snipers recently so I have a suggestion.
If we removed all aim assist on Snipers, would that balance them out?
Would this be an agreeable solution to every one?
I'm not whining or anything, I just want something most of us can all agree on to stop the cry's for nerfing.
My personal opinion on Snipers is that I don't care either way as long as the majority of us are happy.
Peace our Guardians :)

Removing all AA? No. Lowering it to 25? Fine. I used the spear in year one with ambush. It's had -AA. And it was incredibly difficult to use. Somebody new to sniping it would almost be impossible. Has anybody asked what would happen if you REWORKED AA? Idk how you would change it but it's a thought. And it might just come Dow. To all short scopes reduce AA. Med scopes no change, max scopes AA. The issue I see people complain about (and I can't pull off, while being a competent sniper) is getting shot pulled off with the help of AA while being shot. If they tweaked it to where when you get shot your reticle doesn't come back to where it was at rest, it becomes more random, that could be balance.

Remove shortgaze. End if discussion.

Aim assist is not the issue. Player skill and adaptability is the issue.

If you use both hands, your sniper is very balanced!

My biggest struggle with snipers is when you are unloaded a clip of high caliber rounds into their dome and they still manage to dome you, or get a body shot. If snipers get hit too hard shotguns will reign supreme again. Taking away aim assistance (in my opinion) would be too much of a debuff. I just want to see enough flinch were what I described is not a common occurrence like it is now. Lets not break the weapon class.

Aim assist is on every weapon. The issue is that if you shoot a sniper his scoped reticle barely moves if at all. I feel that they should jump crazy bad unless you have the no flinching perk activated

I don't believe at this point it is still Aim Assist on snipers or Range on shotguns that are needing adjusting. I feel as if the issues that still are surrounding these arguments can be chalked up to 3 things. 1. Connection and lag 2. Skill based matchmaking (Against highly skilled) 3. Or both Just my personal feelings

9 AntwortenYou kind of need aim assist, considering this is a console fps. Every single console fps has aim assist because sticks are not as precise as a mouse.

Aim assist isn't the problem. It's the lack of counters.
-
Increase flinch slightly. That is all. Everything else is fine. But if I'm poking someone in the face repeatedly and they can still headshot me, that's a real issue.
-
I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out the fact that AA is prevalent in a majority of first person shooters..
-
Option 4 overhaul the AA system for the entire game. AA is not a sniper exclusive issue.
