Why do you hate legacy console players?
Hey, let's comment here why we hate legacy console players! Let's show everyone that Destiny has one of the worst and selfish communities ever!

1 AntwortenI read your initial post OP, so I'll reply to that. I also received that companion app error, and though things seem to be back to normal now, it was an oddly specific error with regard to legacy consoles. My belief is that's whats in store for legacy console players in the near future. That said, the lack of empathy by those that rudely respond to any posts with legacy console in the title amazes me.Then it gets compounded by those that don't even take the time to read the post. Bungie/Activision are simply trying to push you into the purchase of a new console, by neutering the game as it is on the older systems, as well as crippling the app. It is about raising profit. That's it. If the player was the priority, there is no reason to now take away content and services, if legacy consoles aren't receiving the next expansion. With the upcoming separation of ecosystem accounts in August, there's no reason IB, ToO, already created Live Events, etc., could not just be left in place as it is today for those that wish to remain on those systems; as the accounts would be separate. Unfortunately, all you seem to see here are parrots spouting off the usual responses where somehow you're the problem, not just another player who also loves the game. You're the problem for the dev/publisher because it's about more money, and for the other players because, "last-gen is holding Destiny back!" Although, we did get to see the spoils of that advancement yesterday. Re-skinned armor and weapons, red wires all over the place, and Fallen captains now with void shields. Truly amazing!

Back to your original post. Bungie does not discriminate you when you picked a aging 10 year old console. You can't be mad about being left behind.

So i kinda feel like its more so; they gave you years to upgrade on the merits of graphics and load times, im sure many have, now its time to move on and leave the few behind. You can still play your game, it just doesnt get to continue updating. Cant blame them if its not viable to pay a team to code in the weekly rotation. Now with all that said i have no idea if it was needed to make roi better. But i have no dount updating 2 consoles is easier than 4 so maybe quicker updates? Iunno above all else i dont think theres enough people who care about legacy consoles. I dont Everyone ive talked to that upgraded was like, "woah my inventory was ugly as -blam!-" So anyone whos mad is just because they cant afford it, and thats cool i cant afford a gaming pc, dont see me on the ark forums going ham because they can have 10× the amount of dinos.

Think of it more like you've been out grown. They don't hate you, you just don't want the same things. It was time... they tried to make it easier, but they had to go... you were holding them back. Luckilly business is whore and you can buy back their attention.

I can't wait until Destiny 2 releases for ONLY current gen consoles and not the shit bricks of the last decade. Then maybe Bungie can do some amazing things and give destiny the ooeey gooey love it deserves. :^)

Stop acting like a victim. Your 10-11 year old console is dying out, finally, and this is just one of many of the symptoms. Move to the newest systems when you can.

Why should Bungie cater to last gen, when the current gen has been out for three years. It's about the bottom line. You have two choices, upgrade, or don't.

...the app works just fine for me. I just tested it. I'm on 360. I transferred some passage coins between characters, then to the vault and back. No problems at all.

We're heading towards three years of the current gen consoles being out. Even if you saved $20 a month all of last year you would have had enough for a new console by now. It's time to ditch the past and Bungie is finally doing it albeit very late.

They aren't taking anything out though, endgame content like trials and IB are events, such as SRL, Crimson Doubles, Festival of the Lost. You must have the newest dlc to play it
