Alright, since some of you aren't getting it, I'll edit this so it's just the basics, since so many of you are complaining about length.
So I played a round of Iron Banner, happy to see that it came back. I played, got to the top of the game, and stayed there to the end. I was sort of proud of how well I did. So I go to the rewards screen, and I get nothing. Two guys that did an alright job got really powerful gear, and some extras. Aside from the rewards guaranteed to the winners (Marks and Sterling Treasure), I got nothing at all.
Now, I know a lot of people don't get it. "What, were you expecting all the rewards? My god, quit whining, you self-absorbed wanker." No, I never said that, I don't know where you're getting that conclusion from.
My problem was that I got literally nothing. I'd have been happy with even a single Strange Coin or a single Mote of Light, or even an Armor Shader that I'd most likely discard. Believe it or not, I'm actually completely content with getting what most would consider crap. My problem is the fact that I got nothing, that the RNG allows such a thing to be a possibility for any unfortunate soul who plays his best and expects maybe a humble reward.
You see, when I go into a game, I expect to have fun and come back with something that doesn't make it feel like a complete waste of time. It wasn't too much fun, and despite the guaranteed rewards, I came back with nothing.
So many of you don't understand that, and I still don't know why. Instead, I get a few mature comments from a few mature people, but then I get the entire Morton Salt Factory dumped on my thread by some of the most toxic people that have ever existed on a single video game.

4 AntwortenThey will never change the way the reward system works. The only fair way is to give everyone an equal chance at getting loot. If they increased the rewards for better players then the better players would increasingly get better rewards and the people who struggle would continue to struggle. This could lead to the better players getting better rewards overall which translates into better guns which creates a larger divide between experienced and new players. Bungie wants all participants to feel like they're getting rewarded. A possible solution that I can see that wouldn't break the game is to give the players in the top three more experience toward their level that gives 5 motes of light when you level. That way top players would get more motes (which would be nice) but it wouldn't translate into more guns and more of a divide between the top and the bottom players.

3 AntwortenHave got never ranked up in IB before? Sometimes RNG is awesome, but I wouldn't expect shit until you've put in work. Relax and enjoy the week! The time it took you to write this you coulda won something.

1 AntwortenNone of the reward system has anything to do with rng, bungie gives out better rewards to players who actually spend money on the game. Think about it, these players pay for their salary, updates, etc. Give them the good rewards, no matter how bad they are, pve or pvp, because the better their rewards, the most likely they will keep putting money into the game. How many players you know who suck at destiny but somehow keep getting the good rewards? Then find out how much money that player has spent on destiny. Maybe, something to think about. Hmmmm. Now comes the hatred.

1 AntwortenYes better loot for better players not vice versa or this game will be to casual just like destiny still on last gen

3 AntwortenYou could just play for fun... maybe run 3oC for exotics. I just started crucible lat IB and its fun when you stop stressing over drops. Even if you get nothing.

3 AntwortenRNG has been -blam!-ed up for a LONG time. For some it's ok, others not so much. For a select few, it can be kick ass. Y1, I got tons of good stuff from RNG. Hawkmoons, Vex, Ice Breakers, Gallys, etc. I got so much crap from RNG it was a hassle for me to dismantle all of it. Y2, on the other hand, I can't get squat. For the longest time, I always got leg engrams. Exotic/legendary, you name it, nothing but leg engrams. Crucible matches? I get blue gear and, usually, nothing regardless of how well/poorly I did. Two to the morgue, eyasluna, ldr, longbow, you name it, I don't get it. Except for the ldr/longbow. I, somehow managed to get one, ONE, of each but that's it. Strikes? nope. nothing except for blue gear/engrams. Nightfalls? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm the king of getting 20 strange coins or 13 3oC's EVERY. -blam!-ING. TIME. I wonder why I even bother doing them now. CoE? I get some decent stuff but all with poor rolls. IB is the only way I can get any decent gear. I hate playing IB but at least there, I'm guaranteed something decent whether it be something I actually need/use or just for infusion. The rewards system, for me at least, has been a joke in Y2. Really hoping something changes in ROI.

2 AntwortenMoral of the Destiny loot system : Sandbag and the loot's yours.
-
4 AntwortenYes I agree, I want cookies too.
-
4 AntwortenI like my rewards, have no problems at all with them.
-
2 AntwortenReally dude? After one game you post this nonsense? RNG man, and you're not going to get a drop if you haven't gotten your sterling treasure yet. Doing the best doesn't change RNG lol
-
3 AntwortenThe rewards are random. Someone getting a drop isn't taking anything from you. The brain makes a bigger note of odd situations (bottom get rewards) then of expected situations (top getting rewards). It is your perception.
-
3 AntwortenThe rewards are a painful process, but they kind of make you better and sometimes it flat out sucks, but if you'd get everything you'd want quickly, you'd probably get bored even faster with the game. I would say yeah it needs fixing though, but I've got no problem IB low scoring folks getting good gear, we're probably the ones that need it most. Otherwise we gotta wait 3 years for Xur to sell something useful against top level player on crucible. Not getting things fast did make me appreciate using other weapons, I've grown to like The Vanity and now after waiting I can't stop using My Monte Carlo. If your really frustrated try wanting the Egyptian pharaoh helmet from trials of Osiris and being not good at destiny, truly demoralizing, lol. With a good group of guys even the crap rewards turn into a decent joke.

4 AntwortenGot less than a quater of the way through and lost the will to live. Very winey and TLDR.

3 AntwortenMy favorite phrase to describe destiny "Still too good to get rewarded"
-
2 AntwortenPeople should definitely be awarded for their skill, maybe a higher drop percentage the higher you come on the overall game leader board.
-
2 AntwortenI'm doing ib today and me and my friend do best on team, top 2, and guess what, the 2 bottom people get the rewards, which was the sniper for ib while everyone else including me and my friend get complete shit
-
1 AntwortenNo, just no. Do end game if you want the best gear. The randomness is what keeps people playing...they could add achievements like emblems and shaders for winners but not gear. It's fine the way it is...what you get is more xp the better you are.

I finished with a .12 kd and got a god roll norwens mercy. Outlaw max stability and something else... Check it out!

7 AntwortenIt's what keeps players coming back. The randomness of loot is the part of the game that is addicting. You always want to do more, just one more time to see what you get. If it makes you feel any better, I randomly got a gally from playing control one time. Didn't even do the best on my team.
