Well, jokes on YOU elitists.
So, over the weekend I did something I've never done before. I went to LFG for trials partners. (Wait, it gets better) I sent multiple invites and had countless people join my party to chat and ask if they wanted to do some trials. Most of them had came in asking my ELO. Now, I understand ELO is a pretty good way to gauge a players skill in Destiny. As well as KD. I don't have the best ELO because I don't always play with the best players that 9-0 every weekend. I usually try to help my friends. My ACTUAL friends. They're not elitists. They're not the best. Hell, I'M not the best, but I can 9-0 every weekend with the right team.
Long story short, these elitist joined my party and quickly took to DTR and trials report. (I can't blame them). But all of them said I WASN'T good enough. Yeah, it isn't the best thing to hear, but I know I'm good enough for smooth 9-0 runs. I used to help people to the light house every weekend. (I don't anymore, work gets in the way of trials help). After about 20 people saying I'm sh*t at the game I finally found someone. Lower stats than me, lower ELO. But I didn't care, I could help this guy out, right? Then we had a third that had the same mind set. He was a pretty good player. Up to par on stats with me. Wanna know what's funny? Last weekend, on Widows Court, was one of the fastest 9-0 cards I've ever played. With 2 guy from LFG that had decent stats.
Elitists. I have one thing to say to you. Give people a chance. I'm not upset I was turned down. Not one bit. I'm disappointed in you. There are people like me that help the little people to the light house, which means we might have lower ELO than you. But I'll take a guy that helps the community at the sacrifice of his numbers than the guy who turns everyone down because they don't have big numbers. Maybe you can also help the lighthouse virgins if you're that good.

Thanks to being trending because of all of you, lighthouse virgins see this post first and hopefully that means that they can match up with some of you better players and finally go flawless! Yea this is the reason I stopped playing trials when ttk dropped. Was able to go flawless back in year one, only once though. Was able to get up to 8 wins on several other tickets. Tried several other times to go flawless, but every time they would laugh and leave because my stats suck. I'm not the best but I can sure as hell hold my own when I try to. Is it a crime to goof around in crucible with friends, and not care about stats all the time?

The game should be about having fun... When it's not I just stop playing. Trials isn't fun.

I find the good players are usually the ones that don't brag and they don't need to constantly throw out their k/D stats etc. They just quietly get on with the game and don't make a big fuss.

1 AntwortenAgreed. My stats on my titan in particular are terrible as I played a LOT of control and unlike the masses, I actually aim to capture zones. I'm in the top 1% for that but my KD suffered massively as a result. ELO is a horrible thing - it just means the players with good stats are getting better stats as they are tending to team up, when average or poor ELO ratings are left on the wayside and being paired with poorer players. As the OP said - if you're really a good PVP player, why can't you show it?

I've also ran with friends because I don't do trials much and my stats suck for trials lol, and theirs do as well. But it's fun still? That is the only thing in the entire game I haven't done though... haven't even looked for a good team? I should do it just to say I did it really but not stressed about it . If it happens it happens...

Do you know how many good players there are that have wack K/D (i'm one of them) that sucked at crucible in the beginning and are now wrecking face while diggin themselves out of a bad K/D hole? I never look at players stats when building a team. I look for teamwork and communication. -"I am nothing; We are everything"

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Vrchue: 7/15/2016 5:40:09 PMLast time I gave players a chance, my ELO dropped by 2000 (overall) and I lost 36 passage coins and I would have to carry them every game, I went on 2 10 kill streaks on our second run!! If anyone is checking, I restarted my hunter so the progress isn't there, this happened around the beginning to year 2 trials.
