My psn account has been banned as a result of your complaint. F#ck you very much. May your arse be forever itchy and your arms too short to reach it.
TL, DR: - had a silly (but what i thought was innofensive) GT for ten years, someone reported it now lost all my data.
-Update from Sony,
"Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately all saved game data is linked to your online ID and will not be compatible with another account.
I fully appreciate your frustrations following the ban of your account, particularly with regards to to the time spent on certain titles however there will be no further assistance we will be able to offer you in this matter.
I am sorry there is no more I can do however if you have any other questions in the future, feel free to drop us a line."
Just wanted to add, I'm from Scotland. Where I come from fook is not deemed as an insulting or abusive term. It's actually used instead of the f-bomb in an almost comical way. This is what my GT was supposed to be, a little bit cheeky, a little bit funny. Some fair points have been raised below about how some parents etc would not like their kids seeing said GT and tbh I can't argue with that. I've been known as "fook" for ten years or so on psn and never had any issue until now but there you go. Suppose it just takes that one time. To the people who are saying I must be a total arse to be banned I can assure you this is not the case. I always strive to be helpful and considerate when gaming. I'd like to think anyone who has met me online would agree. During raids etc if I was in a group and someone needed help I'd gladly step up and explain the mechanics. If someone was getting a hard time in a group I'd be the first to back them up. I believe you do good things and good things happen. Feeling somewhat jaded about that mindset now mind you. Anyway, what's done is done. Who_the_fook is no more so time for a new GT and destiny grind. I'm not bitter about it, just wish I'd had the opportunity to change my GT without losing all my data. In perspective it's a first world problem and not anything that will affect anyone apart from myself so no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

4 AntwortenHold on a minute, something ain't right here. I used to play tiger woods games and that game was rated everyone, and there were some horrible names, they don't even compare, and they never got banned, #IcameINyourWife, foxLuvsManJuice, the list is endless, and to my knowledge none of those names got banned, I'm not doubting you, simply wondering if there was something else involved because that doesn't sound right. By banning names and taking trophies they are walking a thin line, which will end up pissing gamers off, which means less revenue for them when all they have to do is force you to change it. Just sounds short sighted.

See now, if you'd gotten an xbox, you would've been able to just change you gt.
Sorry though, that sucks ass.
16 AntwortenScotland lol. Worthless country

2 AntwortenUs Scottish people get away with nowt.

It does say online interactions not rated. I don't see what the problem is...

I used to be Eat Pray Fap on Xbox then got my name reported back in 2013, apparently gaming companies don't take jokes man.
-
I'm pretty sure they give you an option to change your gamertag on the same account in certain cases

I've been summoned :D

5 AntwortenI call Bullshit. You don't get banned for poor GT choice or a single report of anything.

1 AntwortenI don't understand why psn doesn't let you change your gt. If you get a gt reported on Xbox you can just change it.
-
It's BS bro. Just too many squeakers and sensitive eyes/ears.
-
2 AntwortenMy friend Slash gets so many random reports because of his name. Guess the kiddies get jealous or something - he's a great dude

When you play online games where people rage, some people will do anything they can to get you back for a perceived slight. The smart thing to do is not give them anything they can use against you. Life lesson learned.

Exact same thing happened to my bf. He called ps support and he had to mail them new gt suggestions. They reopened his account with a new gt, deleted all his friends and trophies, but all his Destiny progress was still there.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von mxz707: 7/10/2016 1:57:36 PMDestiny is a 16 year old game for this reason if their parents didn't want their kids to see this they shouldn't let them play the it

Contact bannedwipe on PSN about how to get your account back. He had to deal with the same issues. Called Sony and they helped him out.

Took it like a champ. That's how the world works, you settle into a pace and someone comes along and goes "Oh! You've got a good thing going here! Let me fck it all up." I wouldn't play again though, escape while you still can bud. This community grows more toxic by the day, and obviously you can see that from some of these extraterrestrially retarded comments you're getting.

13 AntwortenRemember there are millions of players, including kids, and those kids' parents may not see things the same way you do. I think you should be able to change your username and keep playing with no penalty, as it does not seem malicious. But I don't think PSN should allow the word in gamertags. JMO
