New Matchmaking Settings

If I play with one of my friends who has a 1.3 KD we are consistently matched with players who have high ELO and 2.6 KD. Neither of us are remotely in this league. I understand that you guys are trying to engineer a 1.0/50/50 scenario for players but it's not working. I'm tired of the engineered losses, as your algorithms don't account for morale... Getting stomped repeatedly, joining loosing matches, and having 3 people on your team leave while you are spawn camped for 10 min is not fun. I've tried my best to tank my K/D but it will not drop... Why is it such a priority to screw your most dedicated fan base?

The seeing are completely trash. Red bars everywhere. Spawn killing more often. Bullets not registering. Like fix your shit

Stop catering to streamers and the pay for carry crap, its destroying everything this game once stood for. I literally cant get my friends to buy the next DLC because of what you all did in year 2. Do you guys not analyze your player pool? They wont come back without major revision to pvp, or, just bring back year 1!!!!! Its so annoying, you have no idea the frustration with your company.

I played a couple yesterday to see if it's better.... Nope!! Multiple red bars (at least 4 in both games ) and teleporting wizards everywhere! Please make it better..... Me no like lag!

This game is fcking shocking...pvp is virtually unplayable just now.The lag is a joke.You people are meant to be professionals...its a wonder you incompetent fcks are still in a job.

Someone please tell me how these new "settings" are improving anything. Lag seems worse now, and that's not with red bars either. The matches are not competitive. And for those wanting to say get better, I started the first few months of destiny at a 0.2 k/d. I have improved based on k/d numbers. This isn't about getting outplayed. It's about seeing people on a regular not registering damage or being one place and then instantly shot gunning you from a totally different angle than where they should be.

8 AntwortenSomeone please explain to me why you think SBMM is better than CBMM. Is having a flat 1.0 K/D (which is the overall goal of SBMM) really fun to you guys?

My grenades do not work no matter which ones I use, and I seem to be shooting nerf bullets. 4 or 5 shots to the head and their shield is barely affected. Three times so far since the update, my super will not even kill the guardians and only direct hits with a rockets are effective. I for one would like the patch removed or tweaked. Also I have noted an increase in incomplete matchmaking. It seems to be about 1 out of three do not send a full complement to the task. Update: Played 3 Clash and won 2. The third one though, the highest number of kills on my team was 3. Several times I died while the opposing Guardian was not even in sight.

SBMM is needed. Competitive games are a good thing. If the game is decided by 200-500 points the system works. SBMM criteria should be overall kd and win/loss ratio. SBMM for the top player games are needed, but they should be placed into a CBMM game criteria with other top players, say kd 1.3 or better. The game needs a local, regional, and international match making setting. This will reduce lag but could increase game wait time.

3 AntwortenThis issue is definitely more complicated when you consider how to mix SBMM and CBMM so everyone is happy when you have fire teams of 5 or 6 made up of players from vastly different geo locations! If a fireteam has 1 or 2 members that are lagging how should Bungie match with the opposing team members?

4 AntwortenI recently played halo pvp for about 2 hours, I came back to destiny, and wow. I was stunned by all the little things I had grown used to. Whether it was getting shot around a corner or trading with a sniper even though I shot at least one second before him. Also I noticed that the game isn't the same on both players screen. For example, if a shotgun rushes you and you think he killed you at a further than reasonable range its most likely because he is about 1/2 to 1 second ahead of you in game time.

15 AntwortenI enjoyed the matchmaking during Iron Banner this past time. All the games were close. I felt as if i always had a chance to win. The excitement kept me coming back. Since the change all the matches have been one sided. I had more than one match we lost by 10K points. If your complaining about not having sweaty matches maybe you should have your own playlist or something. A lot of people are playing destiny as their first online experience and are giving up on PVP due to matchmaking forcing them into matches that are very one sided and they can not compete in. There is no point to playing a game when you lose 7 or 8 matches in a row. If you dont want to feel the competition of sweaty matches maybe its time for you to take a break from PVP and do something else until your ready to play equally talented players. Its not always as easy as saying the other people should get good. There are age gaps and experience gaps which are a barrier to that occurring. As a new player it is almost impossible to practice and get better when put in matches against highly skilled players because you spend all your time re-spawning most times killed before you know whats going on. Match making should always place similar players skills against each other even if wait time for matches are longer. I know several people that will no longer play crucible because of the difference in skill they are being matched with and they have no chance to complete.

Now im getting matched with total morons against a full team of good players! Lmao. Give me the lag any day. I would like to matchmake into a game at the start too. Not after 4 mins, 7000 points down and 3 bays lost. Is that too much to ask?

I like it but tbh i would give it 7/10 , because all the matches i've played were with everyone green bar ar everyone red bar.

I have matched with full fire teams or really Gud players on other side. Haven't won a lot of games. U guys kept on launching me into games where the team almost lost or were close to a mercy and then break up the party and same story again. So many times my teammates would just leave bcoz the other side was so Gud. I have lost like 7 matches in row few times just bco of these issues

15 AntwortenMatchmaking is great at the moment! As I am top 1% I clearly see a difference in control, better connections, faster search times, really makes a difference. People why cry about lag or see no change are not clearly in the top 1%
