When using fatebringer and vision of counfluence was the best for strikes, night falls, and raids. That feeling after beating a certain boss and waiting to get a drop instead of running up to engrams (not to say engrams are fun to run up to) but just looking at the left side of the screen to see the drops always had me excited to get that one weapon or body armor. Gosh I miss those days

5 AntwortenI never thought id say this but i actually dont. I was furious when bungie made the decision to bench elemental primaries, i thought it was sure to ruin the game. What it actually did was open the game right up for me in terms of weapon selection, y1 95% of the time i had fang (arc) vision (solar) and AE ((void) til auto get their balls chopped off) now im running all different sorts of primaries and i usually rely on a sniper to take shields down.

Try Fatebringer in Heroic strikes - it's still awesome (for this week at least)

Everyone.

I do, and I would love to see burns applied to weapons the same way chroma is now for armor. Make it so the weapon burn mod drops from the new raid as a reward. I think that would allow diversity for which weapon has burn, and would make doing the raid much more rewarding since you get to benefit anytime you face an enemy with the specified burn.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von GANTZ: 7/8/2016 3:16:13 PMme x 1000 the only primary wepon i use now is Zhalo , all others are trash to me since the great upate its also the only exotic weapon i can use as a matter of that, great variety ! Thanks bungie for such great improvements lol , you should stop taking away stuff from the game and maybe add useful stuff like matchmaking

8 AntwortenAs they were? Elemental primaries throttled you choice for PvE weapons. Sure, no one used Aetheon's Epilogue, but the excellent preformance of Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, Word of Crota, or whatever else made every other primary weapon, exotics included, not worth using in PvE. Now, the solution would be to give ALL primaries elements. (Yes Bungie, Exotics included). This way, there is no "go to" primary weapon, and in fact makes you try and get more "god roll" weapons and would effectively increase grind time for players, as now they have to get their favourite weapon(s) with the right perks rolls, three times with each element It's Win-win in that scenario bungie. Doesn't it feel silly that even a Side-arm can get an element even though virtually no one uses them for PvE? (save for getting assists in Challenge of Elders or other really niche uses). *puts on spinmetal hat* They took them from us because it was a blanket nerf to us as guardians. Making it slightly more difficult to gun through powerful enemy shields if we're lacking special or heavy, and to drastically increase nightfal difficulty as we can't burn through tier 1 and 2 foes with just primaries. Sure, Zhalo has a element, but it's an Auto Rifle, you still have to get relatively close to your target to make effective use of it, putting you closer to the danger. I get the impression they let this one have an element BECAUSE of this line of thought. They could easily keep it as a raid reward too. An expendable material that applies an element. A Raid weapons that when used as infusion transfers it's element. A currency that you can bring to banshii and have him apply the element. It's all do-able bungie, so DO IT!

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheMaestroNoob: 7/8/2016 2:10:33 AMwell, it is two sided coin... In Y1 all people were using 3 primary guns for whole PvE game - Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence and Word of Crota...Nothing mroe... However, right now one player may use just one gun, but I see that all players are using different guns. Some people saying that they don't need nothing, but Imago loop, others are using MIDA, Third - Doctrine and e.t.c. I think that Bungie increased variations of primary guns for whole community, but reduced it amount for one each player.

I think they need to enable you to make your favorite primaries into an elemental ones by infusing it with a certain material you grinded for or something. Kind of like how etheric light worked. But instead you are infusing it with elemental capabilities. Seems like something that would make certain activities that dropped said material worth grinding for. Makes players happy + keeps them playing longer = profit.

Having burns on the Kings Fall primary weapons would make them a lot more desirable. One reason VoG weapons were so good was due to the combination of burns and terrific perks. In my opinion, Raid weapons should be top tier choices for PvE content but not the only choices.

Can they at least add a consumable like synths for some primary burn...

11 AntwortenAll PVE players miss having burns on primaries. But we were all punished to appease the PVP minority.
-
I kinda like not having burn though, more options and makes it a bit more difficult.

2 Antwortenwho doesnt?

I miss when I wasn't worried about a shotgun sliding into my ass. (No homo)

I miss those days too.

3 AntwortenI don't. I use way more weapons now than I ever did in year 1.

3 AntwortenThis week cemented my belief that elemental burns on primaries is not a good thing. With arc burn my play time has been dominated by the Zhalo. I know that I don't have to use it but to be efficient I use it. I really like using different guns continually and not just 3. I could get behind having consumables that add elemental damage for a short time to any primary. I would prefer though that the consumable would have a longer cool-down than use time so we would have to plan its usage.
