Why throwing knife should not 1 shot! (If Bungie buffs Throwing Knife)
I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.

I main a hunter and never got a one shot. I did shoot them once or twice and quickly follow with a knife

1) Every class actually has a one hit kill melee. Backstab/Frontstab Scorch on radiance. Stormfist on precision hit And Suncharge and Bladedancer if ya wanna get technical. (Proof via artifact proc) ~Shoulder Charge excluded because it's not actually a melee. 2) Would it be fair? Well consider this. Although the knife would require precision to 1 hit, it would be the only 1 hit melee in the game not restricted by range. Ask yourself, Is that fair? 5 AntwortenThrowing knives are shit anyway, regardless if precision 1HK or not, they're gimmicky af. I propose to replace throwing knife with a 1.5s stun grenade, this would pair really well with TLW fan-fire.... ;)

Titans have one hit shoulder charge. I main a titan but i think that a throwing knife head shot should be a one hit kill especially if burn is on. Head shots are relatively difficult to get so it makes sense for it to be a one hit in my opinion.

I don't want it buffed. It's a finisher! Logically a knife to the skull should kill something, but so should any bullet. If it did ohk everybody would run grasps with max strength and knife juggler. I'll admit it would be fun for a day or two.

1 AntwortenIt's different then any other melee, it requires precision and in the right hands can be very useful but requires a lot of practice and isn't for everybody, and shoulder charge is a melee weather you like it or not, it being an ability and not a charge changes nothing.

So, by this standard, SC shouldn't OHK either. No, I'm not saying anything should be nerfed. Point is... Posts like these are biased. I think everything should be returned to its original form. No nerfs, and no buffs. Edit: Nowhere does it say that a throwing knife is a melee. That would be the stab when enemies are close. I don't think melee means what you think it means. Also, the description for SC calls it a melee. By definition, none of the melee attacks are a "melee".

Is it fair that the class with the highest base & highest potential armor is also the fastest class in the game? Is it fair that striker regens through transfusion, sunbreaker regens through cauterize or can gain an overshield with specific perks, & defender gets an overshield through force barrier. All while 1 hunter subclass can regen, 1 warlock subclass can regen, & 1 warlock subclass can gain an overshield? Is it fair the class with the highest range melee also is the only class that has all its melee abilities proc on hit? Comment what you think! :)[/quote] As a bladedancer main I've long since disliked the way bungie nerfs things in this game (though those Nightstalker changes were ingenious)& I don't believe anything needs any more nerfs. But please don't pretend that anything is perfectly balanced or fair, especially the subclasses. [/spoiler]Throwing knives should have all aim assistance removed from them if they were to become a ohk but I'd rather them just go back to being what they've been up until now.[/spoiler]

This is quite wrong. Titans have shoulder charge, Warlocks have their long range melees and hunters have throwing knives! If you hit a person in the head with a throwing knives, you should be rewarded with a kill. It's not easy to get a head shot or even hit someone.

8 AntwortenThrowing knives are fine. What I don't understand is how a knife thrown at an armored foe 20 feet away does more damage than shotgun. That just doesn't add up.

3 AntwortenTitans technically have 2 OHK melees 1 shoulder charge has no cool down and outside of supers I only know of high armour warlocks using the ram surviving it 2 storm fist overload is a OHK when it happens.

1 AntwortenThrowing knives could only one shot under small circumstances, a guardian with low armor. Which is hard to come around.
