I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.

Shoulder Charge is a melee and that one hit kills. And before you say it isn't a melee, when you get kills with it you get melee bonus and it shows up as melee when you look at your stats. The game itself registers it as a melee.
-
Um shoulder charge is a one shot.... Need I say more lol
-
Pretty sure envenomed smoke with lockdown can one hit if you both hit them directly with it and they stay directly in it.

Shoulder charge

As a titan I can say there is another melee in the game, most definitely. I have more kills with sc than any weapon in the game. Call my bluff Lol. But the difference is range and aim assist on the knife itself. Admittedly I am not the best hunter out there, but I can throw a knife or two. As long as you aim in the general direction of the players head within a couple feet its going register as a headshot. Once thrown it is almost impossible to avoid. Throwing knives can be thrown over walls, from behind cover... On top of that you can keep getting them as you continue to make head shots. They would dominate. A skilled hunter with a sniper, doctrine and throwing knives would be so broken. Shot gunners would be killed before they got in range with a well placed knife, midrange engagements are settled with doctrine or a sniper and long range... Still Snipers.

Bearbeitet von WhiskeyHotel: 7/7/2016 8:11:41 AMOh look, a whiny titan! Take note everybody. This guy probably shoulder charges non stop.
-
I remember when they were one headshot kill in the beginning of destiny, they got nerfed pretty fast though.
-
So let me get this straight..you say its okay that a titan has an OHK melee but Hunters cant have em because it would be "too OP"? Get outta here! I agree that throwing knifes shouldnt be OHK and in my opinion that counts for every melee including SC.
-
On the off chance this is serious. Throwing Knifes, to my knowledge, take some skill to reliably headshot in PvP. Given how easy it is to waste it if you are off/think the enemy is in reg melee range but actually end up throwing it instead (same with smokebomb for myself), letting it crit is fine.

35 AntwortenBearbeitet von JackOfSpades835: 7/7/2016 5:54:24 AMBecause people are having a hard time understanding ill keep it simple. Throwing knives are just a pretty animation for your melee. It was never intended to be a OHK. They just didn't want all our melee looking the same and thought a throwing knife would look pretty cool. It does look cool. A throwing knife would NOT penetrate a Helmet made for war. A Shoulder Charge on the other hand would knock out an unsuspecting victim. Which is how most of you get Shoulder Charged in the first place.
-
It never did 1 hit... even before the nerf.

Bearbeitet von Warpsin: 7/7/2016 7:56:48 AMCan't tell if this is supposed to be a parody of shoulder charge posts.
-
Just because it sits in the melee charge section doesn't mean it's a melee. Smoke bombs is the same. A critical hit with flaming knife should one shot. It was never OP and now just a waste of time. I main a Titan.
-
Why shoulder charge should not ohk! Reasons 1. Shoulder charge 2.??? 3.profit
-
When did throwing knives ever one shot anyone? I must have missed something but I have never gotten a one hit kill even with the burn

1 Antwortenincendiary knives should

Bearbeitet von Gavareno: 7/7/2016 5:52:37 AMFirst u need skill Than you need to not cry Remember shoulder charge one shots so does back stab and on occasion thunder strike Lastly research before you make a post

Shoulder charge= one hit melee lol

1 AntwortenWhy Throwing Knife should NOT one shot: Gambler's Dagger + Knife Juggler.
-
Well what makes tk different is that it can hit a headshot or crit not like the other melees
-
Shoulder charge can one shot, thunder strike (strike melee charge) can one shot at times on lower armor targets (I've had it happen and done it to me where yellow damage appears on a melee but can't figure out how yet) and backstab on the blade dancer can one shot, and none of these require a headshot and 2 of them can one shot anyone while a throwing knife only worked on minimum armor targets
-
Okay, I wouldn't do it, because of the aa. But then.... Waelocks have shields and titans have shoulder charge... But eh, I think throwing knife is good enough.
-
2 AntwortenDid throwing knives ever one shot? I had to shoot players at least once or twice before tossing a knife at their head for a kill.
-
Well shoulder charge is a one shot. Also throwing knives never one shotted I thought. They hurt a lot. They will one shot if less than half a shield in the head.
-
That ain't nun but a hate post because you said it's not a hate post.
-
I main a hunter and never got a one shot. I did shoot them once or twice and quickly follow with a knife
