Why throwing knife should not 1 shot! (If Bungie buffs Throwing Knife)
I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.

Titans have shoulder charge but a headshot throwing knife can't one shot an enemy. WTF!

7 AntwortenI have mained gunslinger since year 1 and have never 1 shot anybody with a throwing knife. The only way I know to get a 1hk is if you pair it with the invisibility gauntlets that give your melee poison damage and have burn on which is a waste. The nerf was pretty uncalled for honestly. They are still useful but not nearly as lethal.

1. Throwing Knife is a basic charged melee, no other basic charged melee one-shots..Aside from Blink Strike with Back/Frontstab, but specifics. 2. Knife Juggler.

I always seem to get OHK by storm first overload, and SC, but they are not the same thing. I could care less if they one shot or not I used to run low armor and get OHK by them anyway

I primarily main warlock and Titan. When I get killed by throwing knife I'm not even mad, actually I'm generally surprised or impressed. Whenever I play on my hunter I expect and want throwing knife to be a one hit kill, because it does require an exhaustive option that needs some skill to use.

18 AntwortenTitans have shoulder charge witch is a one hit melee Warlocks got a melee that gives them a shield knocks an opponent back and the range is godly. So yeah knifes should one hit if its a headshot.

If this is true then shoulder charge should not one hit kill either. And that doesn't even take a melee charge to use.

Bearbeitet von boah: 7/7/2016 4:07:26 PMIf bungie did indeed change it eventually to one shot headshot, they should change incendiary blade to only allow bonus precision damage on throwing knife head shots, but deactivates knife juggler so you can't just run around replenishing your throwing knives, that is if you wanted a one shot throwing knife but at least somewhat of a "balance".

1 AntwortenIt would be pretty OP if it 1 shot. If you had knife juggler on and decent aim, you can't lose gunfights. You'll have infinite knives.

Titans do have a ohk melee it's called shoulder charge but damage on throwing knives should be buffed back to where it was but the added burn shouldn't ohk anyone I guess

No i disagree! With titans having the shoulder charge as a one hitter its only fair for hunters to also have that......my problem is the warlock....its the only character which has no one hit melee or something like that, they should also buff the warlocks melee....But hey....im no fan of nerfing stuff its ruining the game step by step....i mean...did you see what they did to my beloved thorn? What they did to my beloved hawkmoon(babyhawkmoon, the eyasluna, is even better!) Same goes for last word.....its because the community KNOWS bungie is watching so they come up with corny questions about nerfing just BECAUSE THEY GET OWNED BY THE ITEM THEY WANT TO SEE NERFED.....Which to me..? It's actually not a melee, technically speaking, despite taking up the "melee" slot (like smoke bomb) I don't know who else will remember this but a bit after the Don't Touch Me gauntlets came out and Bungie made it so that throwing knife didn't activate the invisibility on melee. And we all said hey that's BS and both Bungie and a lot of y'all said well technically a thrown weapon is *NOT* a melee attack and therefore shouldn't be treated as one. Bam, much like how shoulder charge is *not a melee* neither is throwing knife, which means there's no problem with it being a OHK because *it's not a melee*, Bungie said so. 2. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha . . . ahahahaha..haha, ah you crack me up

6 AntwortenI've asked this before and nobody could give me an answer. Could they actually one shot with incendiary blade? If I'm remembering correctly, 158 on precision, 5 ticks of 5 on the burn for a total of 183. The lowest armor possible is 186 I believe. Am I wrong?

What they rlly need to fix is the whole slide, shotgun, shoulder charge, that all happens before human reflexes kick in....
