Why throwing knife should not 1 shot! (If Bungie buffs Throwing Knife)
I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.
"DISCLAIMER" This is NOT a hate post. I'm not trying to spread hate to anything or anyone. So please no hate..

4 AntwortenThrowing knife is the best defense from shoulder charge, but I agree. It should not ohk. However, due to hit box detection and aim assist, it should not cost a melee charge if you miss or accidentally throw one. Unless, it were on a separate button from standard melee. If throwing knife and standard melee were on separate buttons, then missing with a throwing knife should cost a melee charge. As it is now, with lag and hit detection, I will often attempt a standard melee, miss, throw a knife at nothing, and use my melee charge. Both titans and warlocks, in that situation, would be granted the melee charge back. So, either put throwing knife on a different button or charge the titan and warlock with a miss by using their melee. Make since? I really dont care though, just something I've always found unfair. Besides, since the best players play as hunters, warlocks and titans probably need the handicap.

Yes it should one shot. Not only is a throwing knife IN THE HEAD hard to land but it's a knife. If someone got punched in the head they'd be standing. If someone got stabbed??? I'm pretty sure they'd be pretty dead...

2 AntwortenI disagree. I think throwing knife should have the ability to one shot if you get a critical hit and incendiary blade is on. However, the damage of throwing knife should be reduced for not critical hits. That way, throwing knife rewards a skilled user, takes up a subclass slot (like shoulder charge does) and is still a viable option in crucible.

I take it you haven't ventured off the Sunbreaker ' s subclass. So I will point this out takentot. Strikers have a shoulder charge which can OHK on most guardians. It is not the standard ability stormfist but if the hit registry is good and the opponent isn't running max armor or anticipating the charge, it kills them. I understand about the knives, aside from smoke bombs there really isn't a maximum range other than the throwing distance for the actual melee ability. It takes some skill (I play all three classes but main a titan) but I would hate to see this turn into COD with Tomahawks/Hatchets being thrown across maps and nailing players.

Doesn't bother me anyway,1 HC shot + throw knife still works.More annoyed that my incendiary now ticks for less :/ [spoiler]SC is a 1 hit melee,no hate just saying[/spoiler]

6 AntwortenYes it should, here is a short list of one hit melee: Warlock sunsinger melee with damage over time Storm fist overload for titans Titan sunbreaker melee with damage over time. Why can't the hunters have a one hit melee. Keprhis sting is impossible to use as invisibility is crap in crucible, therefore, making it useless. Also, why decrease burn damage by 3 damage?

1) it's a charged melee, not just a melee. 2) it's a f*cking knife to the skull. It's working just fine. In fact, it could do with a slight bit more damage.

They already nerfed throwing knife, why is this post even here? Also you are right, no melee should one shot.....SO THEN WHY THE -blam!- CAN SHOULDER CHARGE STILL ONE HIT ESPECIALLY AFTER THROWING KNIFE GOT NERFED ALONG WITH BOTH OTHER HUNTER SUBCLASSES?!?!?!
