I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.
"DISCLAIMER" This is NOT a hate post. I'm not trying to spread hate to anything or anyone. So please no hate..
Comment what you think! :)

Shoulder charge can kill you only if you are low on armor that's hunters problem not warlocks or titans instead relating on speed put more armor on
-
(The jolly TITAN) no melee should one shot

A wise man once said "quit whining and git gud." You should heed these words.

Huh shoulder charge, warlock can 1punch kill back stab 1 hit kill. What were you saying did i read this wrong?
-
I feel if throwing knifes were eventually to become 1 shot headshot, then ALL aim assist on throwing knives to actually require skill when landing headshots with throwing knives.
-
2 AntwortenSo you consider a throwing knife a melee but not a shoulder charge. That about sums up everything.
-
1 AntwortenWho's gonna keep fighting after a knife to the head? Seriously, if Bungie wants to get real and add accuracy bloom to hand cannons then sticking a 6" knife into someone's skull should technically stop them in their tracks. Just a thought.
-
I think it should still one shot, because the only way it would was if you got a headshot. Which takes some skill. Also the warlock melee is pretty op

2 AntwortenChrist people hardly use gunslinger knives effectively anyways. It doesn't matter at this point anymore. They're already nerfed and it was undeserving of that one specifcally. They took half health just like any other melee, it actually takes better skilled hand to get the precision kill/hit. If they happen to buff it again buff the base damage back its original damage and tweak the incendiary blade since that's what apparently caused the "ohko" that apparently "everybody" complained about. Seriously in what world did people legitimately complain about knives when everyone was pracitcally using nightstalker?
-
8 AntwortenIt would be overpowered, but you have it totally wrong. The real reason that OHKO knives would be broken is because of Knife Juggler and Gambler's Dagger.

4 AntwortenNo other melee except for Shoulder Charge. Or a Feedback Storm Fist. Or a Feedback Thunderstrike. Or a Backstab Blink Strike.
-
2 AntwortenShoulder charge and backstab one shot. Same with radiance melee while in super but that's a super so I won't count it.

Bearbeitet von GTLargo21: 7/12/2016 11:48:09 PMThrowing knife should only OHK with a headshot and if the burn ability is active. If the knife has incendiary, there's no insta-charge like some people would worry about. I agree that by itself, it shouldn't OHK, but it should have the ability to do so with the burn just like some other melee perks can.
-
From what I remember the Sunbreaker could if they used melting point on a low armor guardian but since the burn glitch is happening I can't really test it to see whether it still can. If so then the Throwing headshot+ Incendiary blade should one hit low armor guardians.

2 AntwortenYou forgot something....
#satire
-
8 AntwortenWhat...? Do you even play this game? Literally warlocks and titans both have one shot melees, hunters are the only ones who dont anymore. And we dont want it to be a complete oneshot we want it reverted so we can oneshot on critical kills.
-
1 Antworten"No other melee can one shot" u forgot about shoulder charge bro

1 AntwortenGo back to call of duty

18 AntwortenBearbeitet von BK-GHOST: 7/11/2016 12:34:36 AMUh...u sure u play destiny? The hunter is the one without a one shot melee...their counterparts can.. 1 they can gain an overshield thru melee... 2 shoulder charge...needs no charge ironically 3 the massive range of thunderstrike...and apparently storm grip overload is an instakill lets think about what op said... A knife thrown into your skull should NOT 1 SHOT U? I hope theres some satire tag i missed...im not calling any1 dumb...just questioning the logic behind the words

Shoulder charge is basically unlimited and a 1 shot. Don't make me defend hunters. Sincerely, A Concerned Warlock
-
You guys will nerf throwing knifes but not shoulder charge
-
7 AntwortenGuys I have proof a knife to the head does not always 1 Shot! A couple of years ago in Brazil a mugger stabbed a female wrestler in the head and she did not die!
-
Titans and warlocks do have one shot melees.
-
4 AntwortenWhat about shoulder charge lol, you can activate it every time you Sprint and it one hit kills. What they need to do is make it so shoulder charge consumes your melee charge and you can't activate it without your melee charged. Also the auto targeting is better than blade dancers. La mow

4 AntwortenThrowing knife is the best defense from shoulder charge, but I agree. It should not ohk. However, due to hit box detection and aim assist, it should not cost a melee charge if you miss or accidentally throw one. Unless, it were on a separate button from standard melee. If throwing knife and standard melee were on separate buttons, then missing with a throwing knife should cost a melee charge. As it is now, with lag and hit detection, I will often attempt a standard melee, miss, throw a knife at nothing, and use my melee charge. Both titans and warlocks, in that situation, would be granted the melee charge back. So, either put throwing knife on a different button or charge the titan and warlock with a miss by using their melee. Make since? I really dont care though, just something I've always found unfair. Besides, since the best players play as hunters, warlocks and titans probably need the handicap.
