Who remembers when NF was actually difficult?
I miss returning to orbit after your fireteam died it made things difficult and hard and required teamwork now kids are complaing about drops from a nightfall that is easier then baiting a hunter in to crying nerf.

I made a mistake saying it was harder in year one. I really just worded it wrong. The reason for me it was " harder" in year one was because when you got sent to orbit because of a little mistake it was degrading and made it so much longer and more frustrating causing more mistakes. The actually difficulty of the strikes was easier in year one with a few exceptions.

Nightfalls were never difficult when Solar Burn was on.

The kick to orbit was broken and just made the games slower, one camps in the back, the other two fights and when they die, leave and re-join. Honestly, I think Nightfall is harder than year 1 also because some of the new perks makes it harder and finally, no elemental primaries (Except Zhalo of course).

I liked to solo NF year one. Provided a good challenge and was exciting because of the kick to orbit mechanic. Sure, I sat in the back with my icebreaker but that was part of the charm. Feeling like you were winning against tough odds. I miss that feeling of having powerful weapons that helped me "win" against tough opponents.

1 AntwortenHonestly if their gonna keep it the way it is and not return you to orbit upon wipe they could at least make deaths permanent until wipe. At least that way it would have more difficulty.

Agreed. The fact that it doesn't take you back to orbit on death kinda takes away from the flavor it had.

6 AntwortenCertain burns on certain strikes made the Nightfalls nightmares in Y1. For example, everyone has PTSD flashbacks about Arc Burn/Lightswitch Omnigul.

I remember my first NF. Ran with 2 30s that had Vex, and got themselves killed in the first 30 seconds. Solar burn was on but it was the Venus vex strike. I ran with VoC and did my best to rescue them until we all got kicked to orbit. Then they kicked me from the party.
