Oddly this seems to be the case. Because to be honest i find call of duty easier to get good at, but at the same time call of duty has a much higher roof when it comes to skill.
When i mean get good at i mean like 400 SPM and 2.0 KDR overall. My personal standards might be high idk.

I think I have a 500 score per minute but only a 1.12 KD on BO3. The lower KD is mostly due to how horrible I was when it came out lol
