Two versions, one that allows fireteams and another that does not.
Let us casual players, the solo players just have some fun without getting into lobbies against teams who clearly play together all the time and have the advantage.
Edit. Well we seem to have a healthy discussion going for the most part.
I can agree on both sides of this argument that SBMM is not working, regardless of what side of the fence you're on, CBMM would benefit everyone.
Edit 2: For those of you who are separate Playlist for solo players may cause connection issues aka finding a match, look at the responses. A lot of solo players it seems, leave the match if they see fireteams. This not only lengthens the time for a match to start it may also be the cause of people leaving during a match. It might actually speed things up.

I've wrecked fireteam of 5 and six with my team of individuals. Sure, chances are, you might lose, but just play smart and don't rush in to the enemy.

Bearbeitet von TYPE-00: 7/4/2016 12:25:15 AMI'm a 90% solo player and mainly PvE except for IB but I thought it might be good to go in this time in a fireteam from lfg. I got destroyed. It was like 'so this is what it's like watching a dog playing a video game', I wasn't landing any shots and I could barely even register a kill, it was embarrassing. I was shooting the walls, grenades bouncing off team mates and killing myself. I'd pop my super and run around looking in vain for someone to throw a hammer at. I went 1/9 in one game and I was -blam!-ing trying! So I started playing solo again, and I began to do OK. My best game I went 23/5! I was landing sticky grenades on the heads of blinking jumping hunters while I was doing ballerina spins in the air, "double kills, relentless, this is amazing". There was less lag, less camping snipers, less blinking shotgunners. Much more variety in enemy loadouts. It was so much more fun. I'm not sure exactly why I did better solo but there could be a few reasons. 1. When you play in a fireteam you play against better players because your average stats get increased by the better players on your team. 2. Fireteams play against other teams more, and organised teams tend to play more to a style or meta (camp sniping, slide shot gunning, running packs, teams of hunters or titans etc). 3. I haven't played PvP for a month and just needed to warm up. 4. Early on in IB it's just much more sweaty. 5. I was trying to fit in with the fireteams play style and not focusing on my own game. 6. Maybe the network gets more loaded with all the chat going on as well? Maybe all of them. TLDR: There are differences playing by yourself but personally I don't think solo IB is so bad.
-
Yea that won't work
-
I love playing against fireteams..Getting the win against them is satisfying
-
To be fair, I don't think IB is supposed to be a casual game mode. Light lvl advantages are enabled, once a month, endgame, etc. But the idea of solo IB should be considered. BUMP!
-
Meh. Eventually you get a good team. Suck it up and quit crying. Made level 5 yesterday and went through the same stuff. It is woes of being a solo player. WTF ever. Less crying, more kills.
-
Bungie will never let that happen... All the sweats in this gsme play with teams and guess who cries left and right about nerfs and other stuff? Those players. Nuff said
-
I thought thats what freelance would be. I guess not. Bungie doesnt really care for solo players. At least not in any endgame activity.
-
Yeah. This is absolute bullshit. Just hit 8th game in a row that it's put me in an already started game with the team I get put on to down by an insane amount of points and after heavy round. I haven't seen the beginning of a match all day.
-
7 AntwortenAn endgame activity isn't really a place for casuals, honestly. I mean, you can still play and get loot. IB is all about proving your skill over other players. Not just individual skill, but rather your mastery of the game as a whole. It's about showing off your 335 guardian and wrecking faces. Let the tryhards have their activity. Next you'll be saying we should have an IB with level advantages disabled...
-
With sbmm, seperate playlists for fireteam/solo really wouldnt matter.
-
2 AntwortenI care more about the problem that a 335 guardian like me is being destroyed with ease by 315's.

Just jump in and out of games until you get on s winning team

4 AntwortenNo it doesn't, it needs better matchmaking. I play the crap out of Overwatch solo and never get pit against a team with more than a party of two. Bungies matchmaking algorithms blow anus

Bump. I agree

1 AntwortenThis would be so hard! Lol even with a full team of 5 of my friends we were doing just OK. And lost so many matches. So we decided to pull the douche card and go all defenders. The technique is full on dickatry, BUT it works! (End of commercial fast talking disclaimer) WARNING: Bubble is not for everyone. Bubble can be easily broken into by anyone with a shotgun, shoulder charge, Titan Slam, Hammer, Nova Bomb, SideArm, Khvostov, and Vestian Dynasty. Side effects will include salt, pepper, onions to help you cry, and slight to moderate discomfort. Please call a doctor immediately if you have a bubble that lasts longer than 4 hours. Some restrictions may apply. Batteries not included. Each bubble separately. Results may vary.

10 AntwortenHere is an idea, try to win. If you don't it is 100% ok because the game is about having fun.

I play solo and love to join actual teams with a plan.

Bearbeitet von JuiceAKAJBizz: 7/3/2016 6:20:48 PMU can use app n lfg a fireteam...not sure if IB has sbmm tho... if u aren't in fireteam n if there is sbmm it's not gonna be fun if u play solo...u will be going up against players pretty much equal to ur skill n other team will have advantage of communicating if they r in a fireteam? But yea again just lfg a team...it's not that hard to find a team... Quick question is the sbmm based on leaders combat rating? Or is it an average of all players in ur fireteam? How does sbmm work? Looking for answer not just guesses? Thx
-
I run solo and do fine in IB. I'd rather they actually implement a damage referee to remove red bar gods versus the phantom version they have now. Also, Get rid of SBMM and do connection based as the archaic peer to peer networking does not allow a decent experience with SBMM. But I wouldn't hold our breath for any changes except more stupid nerfs that no one wants
