Two versions, one that allows fireteams and another that does not.
Let us casual players, the solo players just have some fun without getting into lobbies against teams who clearly play together all the time and have the advantage.
Edit. Well we seem to have a healthy discussion going for the most part.
I can agree on both sides of this argument that SBMM is not working, regardless of what side of the fence you're on, CBMM would benefit everyone.
Edit 2: For those of you who are separate Playlist for solo players may cause connection issues aka finding a match, look at the responses. A lot of solo players it seems, leave the match if they see fireteams. This not only lengthens the time for a match to start it may also be the cause of people leaving during a match. It might actually speed things up.

Yep, there should be an option. More options are never a bad thing.

I completely agree. I watch the matchmaking when I join solo. I leave if I see a fireteam of more than 3, and sometimes even then if I have somehow fallen into a match and gotten stomped by another fireteam. Please note, I do not leave a match once it has begun. I will suffer through and then leave matchmaking as soon as the results screen shows. It's very rare to win against a fireteam of more than 3 and you need to win to get the reputation. I would love for no fireteam versions of all Crucible modes. It's more fun when you're on more of an even playing field. Alternatively, they could offer alternate means of earning reputation towards Iron Banner. Either give reputation (less than a win) once you've gotten your five medallions (or let them stack beyond 5), or increase the number of bounties you can complete per day. I am sure there are other good ideas too.

Help up 1.4kd over the two I've got to rank 5 with on playstation. I'm happy with solo.

Bearbeitet von s13mark: 7/5/2016 7:02:24 AMFire team chat is a good tool esp for banner however , people chose not to use it..... Or even remember it exists Communication is key, play time is a factor but the randomness that is crucible means good call outs win matches
-
Yeah if after doing a few solo matches I usually try and find a team off The forums. It makes a big difference.

2 AntwortenThis morning I needed two heavy kills or one win. Lost for an hour n a half. Couldn't even get near the heavy. Ok one more game.........machine gun lord. Top of the winning team. Still got flaming hammers at match end. Fire dance!!! Six minute match.....

I agree with you, that sucks. However, what sucks even FREAKIN more is playing with -blam!-in noobs. Like come the -blam!- on, I scored almost 3k in a couple games and I lost somethin like 16 matches in a row. -blam!- you bungie

Solo IB would be great although I don't have a big problem with it as it is. Most 6 man teams can be beaten, sometimes though they completely destroy your team 20000-5000
-
We went up against a 6 man last night, i was a loner as were most of the team i was on, and somehow despite them putting up a helluva fight we won. I'd never had that happen, usually the 6 man teams rinse us bad.

2 Antworteniron banner needs to ACTUALLY drop loot. it's a -blam!-ing waste of time. playing for no rewards.

Inferno Iron Banner
-
Make iron banner rumble.
-
So you want Iron Banner Rumble.

Maybe in control but not in clash. It really comes down to individual skill for the most part. I've lost games pretty embarrassingly to 6 really good solo players vs my team of 5 plus one random. There's less team work in clash mainly because it's so hectic to lockdown areas with minimal loss and supers are wild cards which can sway matches same goes for heavy.
-
I don't think it's an advantage to have a full fireteam, because there's nothing stopping anybody from making their own full fireteam. I play pretty much every activity solo, and I never have a problem getting my boys to rank 5. I also never check to see if people are paired up or even check their load outs, because it doesn't affect my game in any way
-
1 AntwortenI would support this only with a caveat. If solo queued players can't get match made after 3 minutes they get placed into a non-solo match. The last thing we need is to splinter the player base nearly 2 years later.
-
Just watch the lobby fill up and cancel out (BEFORE the match gets locked in FYI) if you see a big fireteam. Might take an extra minute or two but is a quick and easy fix to that problem.

I agree. IMO Clash is the friendliest toward solo / casual players but it's still rough when you get up against a fire-team of six. At least they made it where you can get all the drops starting at rank 0. As a solo player, this makes Iron Banner much more appealing. I will reach rank 5 on Monday but still... Knowing I can just casually play and still get the drops is great.
-
I found that Full Fireteam IB matchs go much faster. They either pubstomp us quickly, or they are busy talking and chatting while the random team knocks them out quickly. I rarely see a close match if there is at least 1 full fireteam.
-
Good idea.

Bearbeitet von ThE_TrutH_613: 7/4/2016 3:33:42 AMI never play with a fireteam and im terrible suck it up you get medalions for losing anyways
-
No. Never had an issue playing Banner solo since its first appearance in Beta till now. It just comes down to the player(s).
-
I'm always check players list while Destiny evaluating guardians. If i see fireteam of 3+ players, i'm cancel evaluation. If bungie cannot pull their hands out of their asses and add normal lobby/settings/CS to the game i will use this workaround in every single match to prevent their shitty machmaking mistakes.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von RingersCheckmate: 7/3/2016 10:13:48 PMI can't agree, maybe as a a separate event, but iron banner is not a casual event. It's not as serious as trials, but definitely more serious then regular crucible.

I've wrecked fireteam of 5 and six with my team of individuals. Sure, chances are, you might lose, but just play smart and don't rush in to the enemy.
