First Curse Users
First Curse is a extremely powerful handcannon that seems to be underrated by everyone. Once you get that first crit kill it evolves into a powerhouse and has stats better than any other handcannon around. What other primary guns can potentially kill 3+ guardians without reloading? Besides scouts and bad juju. I've been also two shotting people that don't have low armor in IB because of light level advantage. My highest crit number this IB has been 103. Easy two shots. I prefer soft ballistics for that little more stability (feels better to me) and of course quick draw pared with bones on my better control jump gunslinger with a shotgun for close encounters.
EDIT: To everyone saying its outclassed by medium rate of fire handcannons is mostly true yes but if you actually know how to use first curse then you'd understand its power with your agility up high and better control jump pared with strafing and jumpshots & of course quickdraw to draw it quickly while mid air. Practice that strat and you will learn first curses power.
EDIT: no point in posting negative remarks and not even having the first curse.

I just feel like as good as it is most of what I do with it could be replicated by another high impact handcannon. I've missed quite a few kills due to the flinch you receive from having to pace shots against ppl using weapons with higher rates of fire. Maybe if it also got unflinching as a hidden perk. Also I don't know if it's me but it feels a lot less reliable after the recent patch to hand cannons.

3 AntwortenI don't have it yet, but I've been weary of it since it came out. That hand cannons archetype as a whole is remarkably bad, and when things like imago loop, Eyasluna and hawkmoon exist, why use first curse? I don't have an opinion formed of it yet. Like I said, I don't have it. But I've tried to use others in its archetype and they were just.... bad. Unwieldy, clunky, clumsy. I'll have to get it and check it out, but I don't really have high hopes.

IMO, including a perk in the exotic to help increase precision damage would help give it that exotic feel. I thought up the mechanics for a perk where you get a precision shot, and then the next precision shot will have higher damge, by maybe 2 or something. It then has the potential to two shot someone but only if you aim for the head. The damage only goes up if its a precision shot, and will affect only precision, body shots stay the same. The damage can be reset to normal if you reload or get a body shot. You still emphasize the exotic by focusing precision and make it more unique cause no other hand canon can do that.

2 AntwortenIt needs to be a 2 shot head shot kill. There's no point in using a Hand Cannon in the meta of ghost bullets that has a slower rate of fire than Hawkmoon/Eyasluna, but kills in the same amount of shots, at a much slower rate. It's handicapping you against your opponents with no reward. I still use it for fun and messing around, but in no way would I choose it over Hawkmoon/Eyasluna in an environment like Trials. It's GREAT in PoE though. Especially this week with Small Arms and Precision Bonus.

1 AntwortenI love that gun what some of these scrubs dont realise the range of tfc while the perk is active while your in pulse or scout rifle range youll be doing 95 to the head and its also got 100 aim assist when its active

14 AntwortenPeople who don't like this archetype never will. It can compete if you know how to use it, but there are instances where it's not suited. It's up for your skill to determine. I've been using high impact handcannons since timurs lash came out. And after that I started using ill will. And now I'm using a Judith D. Over the past few months I began using low impact handcannons such as down and doubt 00 to great effect. I use it a lot actually. I know it's effective range and what maps it caters too. I hardly use mediums anymore.

9 AntwortenAlmost every primary can kill 3 guardians without reloading. Funny because the first curse can't without proc'ing triple tap. Hawkmoon can two shot and has 13 in the mag. Even eyasluna has 10 in the mag and can kill three people with a bullet to spare.

Most meta guns will kill you before you can fire tfc twice.

I love the First Curse! Usually my go-to hand cannon because of that two-hit kill potential without bonus damage perks. It kind of feels like the best and worst hand cannon at the same time. It has an insanely fast time-to-kill if you can get those double-taps consistently, but usually loses the fight if you keep landing bodyshots or misses altogether :)
