Stop using kd to justify your arguements.
Whenever people argue about the crucible or how well you did at something kd always shows up. Well guess what, it proves nothing. Whenever people say stuff like "says guy with .8 kd" that doesn't immediately prove I suck. It could mean I only get stuck with red bar warriors. It could mean I am genuinely bad at a single part of the game. Or, it just means I hate PvP and stopped playing after having some bad matches. Personally, I never bought Destiny for the PvP. I bought it so I could murder aliens with my friends, not watch my favorite weapons get nerfed into submission and face a cruel, lag-filled version of Edge of Tomorrow. So, stop thinking you're some kind of PvP God because other people don't have good kds. After all, they are nothing more than a number on a screen.
By the way, git gud is a sh!tty argument because I don't care how good I am, I'm just saying don't think you're so much better because you have a different number on a screen.

1 AntwortenTrue only elitist assholes think stupid shit like KD really matters. All good non elitist players know KD doesn't matter. Those elitists would claim they had a bad match, lag problems, or anything if they get stomped by someone with a 0.6 KD while that have a 3.0 average. KD is just a number of your average kills to death and that doesn't prove skill or anything like that. Some people have bad matches, others lag/connectivity problems, some like me don't care about pvp and didn't buy destiny solely for that (most elitist types did), and some just want to have fun and simply don't care how awesome or bad their pvp game is.

ya dont need to be an expert at something to have an understanding. case in pt my fav mlb team's former gm now pres did not want miguel cabrera because his words "he's fat" and detroit got him. everyone here knew it was a dumb stupid move not to get him, and none of us are mlb players

If I think it's an issue that shotguns deal less damage than snipers, you'd better not bring up that I've never done Trials of Osiris or something like that.

KD isn't important. The logic behind the argument is important. If someone brings kd into it they have no counter argument.

3 AntwortenLook. Kd doesn't mean u are a crappy 1.0- player. I have a 1.14, but I can still woop anyone in their own game. Doesn't mean I'm bad. If it means anything, I have almost 2000 hours in this game, and to me it proves that I may win a lot, and lose a lot more than the average player with about 900 hours

People with higher kd are usually guys that play destiny for pvp only. They know what they are talking about. If your facing a lot of teams that are red bar (outside of IB and trials) then that's probley damage ref kicking in because your connection isn't upto standards.

8 AntwortenI don't claim to be good with a .79 K/D ratio. But this iron banner I have been turning in a lot of games with k/d ratios at 4.0 or above. I am near-exclusively using my Suros dis-43, getting several 10-kill streaks so far. So I argue with my K/D: Crucible has better SBMM and better primary/special balance than ever before. Even the dreaded Uni Rem has been brought down to size.

However, I played nothing but control year 1, and I always do everything I can do to cap zones. This out me in a hole I can't possibly crawl out of. I am forever .9, and I am OK with that.

6 AntwortenLook kd doesnt matter. Ive seen low kds outpreform and outscore higher kds CONSISTENTLY. I have seen high kds do complete trash. Kd is just a number. I dont have the greatest kd myself but when need be i can hold my own.

Exactly. Destiny was my first fps game and back in the day before I had any purple gear I grinded crucible playing days after days of it hoping for a purple drop. I was really bad so I'd average like a 2/10 ratio with all my kills coming from novabomb. Eventually I just moved to doing the raids and pve stuff. When I had geared up I went back to the crucible still a little scrubby but eventually improved a lot. Ive been trying to get my kd up from .9 to 1but since I have played so many games I need a lot of kills and pracically no deaths to do that.

Wow alot of negative kd players agreeing here shocker kd dose matter but not to much its like rough kds matter like negative is automaticaly bad because you start vs the worst player untill they get you stats concrete confermed
