Ever since DeeJ posted the weekly update saying they're taking events away from last gen, any time any of us last gen players says somethin about it, we get crap from these idiotic next gen players! HEY GUYS! GUESS WHAT?! SOME PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD TO JUST GO BUY A BRAND SPANKIN NEW CONSOLE! SOME OF US CAN'T EVEN GET JOBS YET! I'm 15 and i can't get a job, so when these next gen brats come in and say get off your a** and get a job, it sets me off. PLEASE STOP WITH THIS CRAP! It's only been a fee hours and im already sick and tired of it.

I saved up about $150 for a ds when I was 7, then like $200 when I was 9 or 10 for a dsi, then $250 at twelve years old for a 3ds. I just saved $600 up for driver's ed at 15 and it only took me a few weeks. Don't even start with the "can't get a job cuz I'm only 15" s***. There are PLENTY of others ways to make money.

1 AntwortenYour 15... go mow your neighbors lawn you lil sh1t... I'm 25 and when I wanted something that costed money at that age that's what I did... I didn't sit on my ass and wait while I play video games.
-
For shits sake dude. Xbox 360 is like over a decade old right now. That puts it in about the same generation as Nokia brick phones. Xb1 is like what 3 years old? They can be had for less than 250 bucks on Craigslist. Don't complain that the console you play on(which is almost as old as you are) isn't getting new content.
-
Sell yourself as a street walker. Easy money! But seriously nobody cares about your whiny argument. Get a job, save some money, do something that is productive.
-
Have you not seen the countless offers to turn in you legacy console for a next gen? Look at best buy, GameStop, and other electronic retailers. I respect you stance, but how do you think ps2 users felt about ps3? Or xbox users about xbox 360? Gaming moves on, just don't get left in the past.

1 AntwortenYou can get a job at 15, I work with a couple in fact. (Context: I'm 18 working at mcdonalds) you just have to put yourself out there. Try at your local fast food joints, normally they are so shady that your age is the least of their worries
-
Surely you can do some summer work for someone and earn some money. I've paid kids your age to do things for me many times. You decide how bad you want it, and go get it. The only thing holding you back is you.
-
If you haven't been able to save up $300 in almost 3 years, you need to reevaluate your life. #fact

Brand new... Three years old... Gg bud

I got my first paying job at the age of 12 (with parental consent) leading horseback tours... and it wasn't a family owned venture. I mowed lawns in the summer, climbed trees to collect and sell mistletoe around Christmas, and collected and redeemed deposit bottles year round.... I also did my chores without the luxury of an allowance. Don't even try to convince me or anyone else how bad you have it and that you can't earn your own money.

I brought a N64 on the day of release. I was 15. I worked a paper round and did odd jobs for the family. I saved money when ever I could because I wanted an N64.
-
Last I checked it wasn't illegal for a 15 year old to get out and cut grass or shovel driveways for cash. At least in America. And if you say you don't have time, you're full of it because you make time to game so you can make time to make money. I have no sympathy for someone who isn't willing to work for what they want. That said, I know some people have some pretty dire circumstances, but if it's that bad you should probably be spending less time gaming and more time figuring out how to make your situation less dire...
-
Time to cut some grass, that's what I did to save for an N64.
-
I worked in a butchers shop 3 hours a day after school for £50 a week..... Don't gimme that shite, get out and earn it......
-
Get it for Christmas or your birthday. They're running for $300 used. No excuses anymore. It's time to upgrade. No money? Start saving your allowance

I've been trying to post for ages from my Nokia 3310, even used my Commodore 64 but eventually had to go to something called an "Internet cafe" to reply to this. #thenoughtiescalledtheywanttheirtechback

That sucks dude, unfortunately gaming can't always cater to everyone and some people are left behind when there is a gap in generations of technology like last gen and current gen.

I bought my first console when I was 9 years old. No such thing as "I can't get a job so I can' afford it." I get that sometimes money is tight, but this is just bit*hing.

You mean current gen?

14+ can get jobs relatively easy, try again.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Fal Chavam: 7/4/2016 7:52:16 PMGranted it sucks. BUT! There are ways around having to spend $300+ If your only option is to convince your parents (or other family member) to buy the thing for you why not do a little digging around on the internet. Help them out a bit by finding a really cheap one.
Places like Amazon or something like that can turn up some pretty cheap stuff that would normally be expensive as all hell anywhere else. Then I think you just licence transfer to bring all your DLCs over to avoid having to buy them all over again.
as for convincing someone to buy it? Get creative.
another alternative. If you happen to live out in the country you might be able to see if you could be a farm hand. (Something along the lines of stacking hay, move equipment, pretty much just manual labor. Normally they pay really nice. As in: *hands you money* You: "Oh lawdy" nice.
Im just now getting destiny for my xbox one, even though ive had my xbox one for three years. I had heard about the game when bungie made that vidoc, and one day when i was going to play skyrim, i saw the beta, downloaded it, and fell in love. So i randomly bought it for 360 because i thought the second one would come about a year or two after the first.
