I'll be short.
1. I'm bad at Crucible, but that's not to say that I'm bad at all Competitive Multiplayer games (see links)

2. I've played 13-15 games of IB this week, and won 2. Nearly all lost by less than 1000 points. It's terrible.
3. Passive play styles are very rewarding in Destiny, which isn't always bad in a game, but 6v6 is a small game. Campy matches, with low player populations quickly become a miserable grind. When everyone is staying at opposite sides of the map peeking through a hole, or trying to get an angle on you where they can shoot your foot a few times... that's annoying. I've had multiple IB clash matches almost run to the time limit, with both teams almost hitting the score limit. I've even adopted this playstyle just to get some kills. Sadly... it's been working very well lately.
I really don't enjoy crucible, and often avoid it as much as possible. It's miserable, inconsistent, P2P connections are horrid, constant sweat fest, .... i could go on
It flat out sucks, easily the most annoying and frustrating PvP i've ever played. There are only 2 modes i ever enjoyed.
Combined Arms.
This was actually an interesting mode, too bad it's gone. In yr 1, this was the only week i would play regularly.
Iron Banner.
Sucks, but the loot is the only reason I play this mode, and it's only recently gotten to be worth the headache again.
Edit:
Speaking of passive play being so rewarding.

So back 10 weeks to assorted playlist. 71% of special kills were sniper rifle.

1 AntwortenPlease, don't get good at pvp. With sbmm you will be constantly put against people all using meta weapons. It's terrible.

You're not bad at crucible m8! By definition, most people have to be average :) But yes, crucible is no doubt a pain in the ass. From what I've heard, IB has been a total failure this time around. Well, even more-so than usual. I have decided to skip IB this week. Actually, I've been skipping Destiny the past few weeks for the most part. Not by choice though lol. My mom doesn't quite understand that MBPS is the measure of how fast your internet is. Our ISP randomly quit providing service in a whole state, so thousands of people were unable to use the Internet for a week or so. So we went from having 120 MBPS (MLG internet) to having 6 MBPS. I'm not a douche, so I'm not playing Destiny until I can get better service. If you read all of that, you deserve a cookie lol

3 AntwortenHere's a tip until you get better. Make sure you stay with your group and use a powerful pulse rifle. You have less chance of being killed and it'll give you a great chance to rack up kills and assists while gaining offensive skills. I usually go like 15-13 at my worst. Go like 17-8 a lot. Try my advice and see how it works for you

Well, it still must be nice that you're good at multiplayer in other games. The only reason I've been playing Crucible for the past month or so is to finish that gigantic Crucible quest that gives access to more Crucible bounties, because supposedly it will be on the list of Moments of Triumph for Year 2. What I've noticed during my time this past week playing Iron Banner: 1. Titans and Hunters are still annoying, pretty much always. Examples A-D: generally more annoying grenades, unstoppable Supers, continual health regeneration on some Supers, and Shoulder Charge. 2. Tons of people seem to love the shotgun/slide combo. 3. If the other team is a full fireteam consisting of all Defender titans, there's no way you can easily stop them and their endless Wards of Dawn. In conclusion, I don't think Crucible is for everyone. I think I'll go back to PvE once Iron Banner is done, I've gotten as many armor and weapon pieces as I can from it, and I finish that quest.

1 AntwortenSo I'm guessing the game thinks my y1 "skill" is the same as my year y2 skill. This is wrong, my y1 skill was thorn and blink/shotgun. I'm willing to bet at least half the playerbase complaining about SBMM (including myself) is like this. I guess this is justice for players like myself who used that cheesy tactic. I've been forced to change and rely on my aim and my teammates ( who I swore were behind me a second ago) which is a good thing. But I'm not having any fun because I feel like a lightweight in a heavyweight division. If you are going to implement SBMM, that's fine. But please also include seasons like a lot of competitive games these days. I'm not as good as I used to be, hell I was probably never good to begin with. Either way I'm staying away from crucible unless there's something I want from it I/E iron banner. Does that sound about right? Am I really dumb?

I enjoy all crucible game modes except clash and Trials (Exempting regular elimination). I'm not too happy that clash was the game mode for IB, so instead of getting super frustrated about it, I just played on my hunter for the first few days, since it's my worst character (So I wouldn't have to risk my Titan/Warlock's k/d's). Now I just need to do my other 2 characters tomorrow/Saturday, and I'm done. And just to clarify, no I don't think k/d is crazy important. It's more of a fun background item that I like improving, like Grimoire.

2 AntwortenToo bad you aren't on PS4. I still run BF4 all day. 137 working towards 140.

Bearbeitet von ABeardedViking: 7/1/2016 3:03:39 AMI am not that great at PVP. But i enjoy it a lot. So far I have played 6 IB matches. Have won 5 an lost one. On the matches I have won, went positive KD and the match I lost I was negative kd. I am only 305 light level as well. I also don't really play for the rewards anymore.
-
I'm bad and I love it. Also improving while enjoying myself
-
Played a match earlier in classic. Joined late all the guys on my team were stuck in year one using blues max light 34 against all 5 players on the other side who were all sweaty with 1.5+ kds. Hey bungie if you're gonna do skill based matchmaking atleast do it right. You think I can carry those kids? Trash matchmaking. To top it off I'm tired of lopsided games where it's 3 or 4 v 6 and no one joins, even if it's early. Sbmm is trash.

Crucible is pitifull. They must have chimps running that turd. Unbearable.

4 AntwortenWhat are your tips for bf4 I used to be really good but my skill had dropped loads on it got any tips?
-
Yes it is. By far the worst multiplayer there is.
-
The sad thing is that this is exactly what all the little sniper dildos WANT the game to be like.
-
I only play mayhem anymore, it's the only fun pvp left in this game I have good rolls of both guns on offer this time, all my characters are 334....I'm skipping this ib
-
Aggressive playstyles are just as rewarding. Like, my IB experience this week has been me getting rushed with a shotgun all day all night. I have a more passive playstyle, but you can't play passive in clash; if you stand still for more than 15 seconds, the enemy just begins to spawn around you. Also, someone mentioned that last weeks trials had 70% of its total kills as sniper kills, and yeah, trials REALLY promotes passive play, I can't stand it.

Snipe'm in the toes!
lmfao
Couldn't agree more with point #3.
-
It's a love/hate thing for me.
-
Actually, iron banner is the mode I probably have the most fun in, seems to be the easiest.

Then don't play it.
