...a Muslim woman wearing a hijab (head scarf) which was coloured in the style of the American flag?
The woman could be of any race, any cultural background but of course, a resident of the United States.
Curious as to whether many would see this as them expressing their love for their country as well as their faith or if they're trying too hard to be accepted.

I would laugh because it means 'Muricanism knows no bounds
-
I would watch as her husbands beat her

100% indifferent This is America. Do what you want.

I mean I wouldn't really view it any differently than someone wearing other articles of clothing with American flag print. The United States has always been a melting pot of cultures, you can still honor your native religious and cultural beliefs while acknowledging and respecting the culture of the country you're currently residing in. I myself am not a patriot. Of course I respect and am glad to reside in a nation that isn't a war-torn shithole, but nationalism is just something that never appealed to me. However, I also respect the fact that not everyone feels the same as I do, and are more than free to express their own ideals and opinions. Freedom of expression is something I adamantly support, so long as it doesn't escalate into needless violence toward others.

I cringe whenever I see anyone wearing American flag Apparel. So I'd still just cringe

5 AntwortenHijabs are symbols of oppression and submission.

I would think that's awesome, actually.

-
I would be fine with it, and continue walking towards my destination... Earth, so I can shoot lasers.
-
We have the flag on towels, shirts, underwear, swimwear, and I bet there's toilet paper for it. What makes this any different
-
I wouldn't care. Wear what you want.
-
If people want to look and dress ridiculous, that's their problem.
-
Wouldn't care in the least bit
-
It would be kind of weird and it seems kind of contradictory, but I wouldn't care. Do whatever you want with the flag, your clothing, whatever. As long as it affects nobody else it's fine.
-
Unless she gonna suck my balls I don't care about no bitch and her choice of head gear what!
-
Being patriotic has become uncool with hippies and hipsters. So I'd say she'd be in trouble.
-
Ummm thatd be awesome! We would of course have to film it and use it as propaganda warfare against ISIS. That'd reaaaallly piss them off XD
-
7 AntwortenFlag burning should be tolerated so I'd have no problem with this. I'd have no problem with American flag toilet paper. "Freedom of speech" doesn't only apply to speech you like.

-
I wouldn't care.

Is that a bit like when the American soldier draped the stars and stripes over the face of a Saddam Hussain statue during one of their recent middle east adventures. They did change it to an Iraq flag before they then spend an age trying to pull the statue down with a tank. Funny how that's stuck with me all these years.
