So bungie always wants to stress the competition side of trials so here is a great idea...
For the next trials i.e. Rise of Iron dlc
It should be setup in a tier system for instance 7 separate tiers.
Once you go flawless one time on your account you hit tier 1 and all your future games are against tier 1. When you hit flawless again you go tier 2 and play only fireteams with a tier 2 player. This would go all the way to 7 tiers you know cause bungie loves 7!
Imagine watching the fireteams battle out in tier 7. This also helps the masses with having a legitimate chance of actually reaching the lighthouse with their friends without having to hope for carry from a raffle.
I forgot to add an important point someone pointed out, yes this would reset with every weekly reset just as everything else does ;)
Another note worthy idea to stop the carries from happening with people manipulating the system would be that the fireteam has to have the same card i.e. Same amount of wins and boons applied
I'd also like to add that this could actually solve the SBMM issue too by going to connection based because the tier systems is already taking the SBMM into account

2 AntwortenThe only change that trials needs is map rotation for every match. How dim is bungie to think that playing the same map over and over again would be enjoyable at all. I mean honestly at this point I would be good with changing spawns once or twice. It's bad enough that the same 3 or 4 maps come up repeatedly in normal crucible modes. Mark my words, destiny will not make it 10 years. Especially not with these jack offs running things

Great idea bro. It keeps it fair for everybody. Means the guys who like to sweat in trials can do that by playing threw the harder tiers. But do you know what? Itl never happen. How would the live streamers carry there subs threw?

I have 208 passage coins and would gladly give them to Trails players - tried and failed miserably at trails. Failed against cheats repeatedly, failed against skilled players repeatedly - no point wasting my time or theirs Good luck to you. -
Should throw 5 teams of 3 on Skyshock, bastion, first light.

9 AntwortenWhy should some players get it easier than others? With the current system if you are not good enough, you dont make it. Everyone has the same opportunity. Good players shouldnt be penalised and made harder for them to get the rewards.... It does sound like a good idea for a seperate game mode though.

how about add a trickle modifier so it's actually skill-based?
-
24 AntwortenI think to make trials more challenging is to remove the radar, it's a harder game mode so let tatics and skill cone out with out a radar
-
All that would do is shrink the potential opponent pool making matches extremely laggy the higher tier level you get to. If they made a been and haven't been set up, that might work, but I don't care if it happens.
-
But what about elitist that get someone who hasn't gone flawless to host?
-
13 AntwortenI disagree. Trials was always meant for the best of pvp players. Making it easier would diminish that.
-
Only change is like is if someone has been flawless already that week it locks them out for the rest of the week on that character.
-
No, it's the endgame PvP, it's gotta be hard. You are not entitled to the lighthouse. The only change I could see it going back to how it was in HoW, where the skill level is dropped just a little bit more to reach the lighthouse

I have never played trials, and I don't think I ever will, but I personally think you have a great idea. I read a lot of negativity from other people. I think that to help encourage this idea, the higher tears would have a higher chance at very good rewards. The lower tiers would still have a chance at rewards, but nothing like tier 7. Maybe.
-
5 AntwortenSo because you can only manage a 50% win rate and a 0.7 kd trails should be changed get better or find 2 really good teammates that can make up for you and it won't need changing your not constantly playing god tier players so your low win rate and trouble going flawless is on you.
-
You want to increase our search times? No thanks.
-
2 AntwortenJust put Trials back to how it was in year 1 and it will be fine. I'm against the idea of just bracketing off players for doing well just for the sake of making it easier.
-
2 Antwortenonly problem is for people who do carries and go flawless 20+ times a week because theyre helping others. they would be carrying their viewers through tier 7.
-
6 AntwortenSounds like an idea from a player who struggles in trials
-
2 AntwortenThis sounds so bad.. Want to reward the players that arent able to beat the good people? and want to disadvantage the players who have done it on Friday? Sorry, but i dont get this
-
As a below average PvP player -- I actually kinda like that there's a place, an event in this game that rewards the most ferocious guardians. Cheaters aside, of course. They can go straight to h3ll. Trials is a stomping ground for top tier players. It's live every weekend and some of these guys are serious about what they do. That's really neat!! Anyone is welcome to test their grit. And for dudes like me, there's plenty of really cool, bad mother****ers who'll gladly run a card with you. Most will explain what they are doing that you are not too. I say leave it alone.

3 AntwortenThen the majority of us will be in tier 7 forever, most of my friends list is well over seven flawlesses. I have 45
-
2 Antwortenmore like 77 tiers lmao have you played the people tht have been to light house more then 50 times XD ill tell you what I almost put destiny down for good after that game
-
Its a great idea but the sweaty try-hards wont want to give up pummeling those of us who dont snipe exclusively. We help them get to the light house every week
-
4 AntwortenTrials doesn't need to get more competitive. Or less. I'm not that guy. But this does just sound like easy mode. Maybe if 335 drops only come on Friday. 334 max Saturday, 333 Sunday, 330 Monday. But it still just seems wrong to give the same rewards to someone who made it Monday as someone who made it Friday. Also, this will really just keep the best players in tier 0 because the never buy boons, and reset cards once the carry makes it.

3 AntwortenI thought this was gonna be way more interesting......
