And I mean entirely CBMM. No SBMM AT ALL. Frankly, I don't understand why I am being punished for being good at the game. The matchmaking is so messed up right now that it's not fun for good players, bad players, or even average players. It is fun for no one. Bungie you do realize that this games pvp was much better at launch than it is now right? Why are you so scared to revert changes? Stop worrying about your pride which you have already soiled and make your game fun again!
edit: Decided to make a new account to prove to those that don't believe that there is sbmm, that there very much is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut1lcP3iZLc

1 AntwortenNo, to think that would fix anything just goes to show how little everyone knows about the internet and believe what they read on these forums......that or they cant stand to play a more balanced game and players at their skill set..." Lordy, how will I ever get my k/d up playing against people of my own level....oh to play against .02 k/d players and feel like a GOD"............
-
Something has been different all week. Either they changed something or I just been getting lucky. Besides like 3 bad games most games have been top knotch all week.
-
Destiny has always had skill based matchmaking. Even at launch. With TTK, they put more emphasis on skill based, but then people freaked out do Bungie moved it back closer to where it was. Connection based matchmaking currently is the primary focus over skill. It just seems worse because the population has dwindled so there are fewer good connections out there. And with all the patches it is possible that they messed something else up in the coding that is interfering with connections.

Bump for a review which will ultimately get ignored by Bungie. They dont care if their game goes down hill
-
2 Antworten90% of the community that has voted wants Cbmm back. (At time of my post)
90%
Its pretty obvious bungee, sbmm is crap. we dont want it.
NINETY. PERCENT.
1 AntwortenYes they shouls and it's obvious. In no world should we get punished for improving, with sbmm the concept of improving doesn't even exist since all that happens when you improve is that you get matched up against better players. Thus you never actually start playing better and having more fun. It's a completely retarded system and anyone with a sense of the big picture realises that.
-
Your not being punished the game is increasing the difficulty as you get better most games do this. Everybody deals with lag on occasion. However now that we have SBMM and I am not a sweaty, lagswitching, kd loving tryhard...... I don't see very much lag and I am on par skill wise with my opponents. Wow mind blown
-
No, games would be more lopsided than they r now, the lag is due to bungies p2p servers, should have a choice to prioritize either though really
-
1 AntwortenOr at least have separate search preferences to chose
-
From the 3/3/16 update: "First and foremost, that means we attempt to find matches with the lowest latency (read: lag) possible. As a secondary concern, we want to insulate players at each extreme of the skill curve from each other. That said, we do not prioritize skill over latency under any circumstances. The newest settings are more aggressive about keeping latency low than we’ve ever had in Destiny. "

id say in pvp connection are more important at this time.. the connections are just horrible. So id say yes they need to go back to CBMM as soon as possible.
-
5 AntwortenGive me cbmm and good connections. Ill take the randomness of opponents. From pub stomping to getting jump quick scoped at 10 ft away by True Vanguard. (True Story)
-
1 AntwortenNow coming from a guy with a low k/d I actually agree with getting back CBMM or at least the one in the middle because no matter what side you go to people will be mad but the thing is the higher k/d people hate SBMM more than lower k/d people like me but the lower k/d people won't come to the forums to cry about it (no offense)

It's a sweat fest no matter what game mode you play it's honestly annoying as hell. I'm on legacy so it might feel worse because it's a smaller player base, but every game is ridiculous or so easy that you could shoot them then emote then shoot them again to finish them off and they would have barely aimed their gun. I'm perfectly fine with trials being a sweat fest, it's nice on the weekend and sometimes get that adrenaline rush in a close game. Now though it's like people have that same trials mentality but for crucible in general. I'm having more fun in patrol.

If destiny 2 has dedicated servers than I would be a HUGE supporter of SBMM bit as it is now SBMM just won't work. I remember like a 2 week period where they like tried some hybrid S/CBMM and it was fine. They gotta just finish destiny with CBMM because SBMM is not a realistic and viable option at this point.

I remember playing against you on Pantheon the other day. Sniped 4 times and then left haha

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von LordOfSouls95: 6/27/2016 11:32:15 PMOk I have to ask one question here; Why does the argument involve the skill part of the equation!? Even if your opinion is that people don't like having to try and they just want to pub-stomp and that's why they hate SBMM, you're missing one other crucial point. Connection. Any idiot can tell you that without dedicated servers, connection is of the utmost important in a multiplayer game. SBMM barely counts connection when matching you with players, causing lag (and many other problems due to said lag) for many players. This makes skill completely irrelevant since it becomes a battle of connections and RNG as to who has the best/worst. CBMM eliminates this probably as much as possible without dedicated servers, sure how you perform in games may vary wildly as a result, but isn't this the real skill-based system? Not everyone will be an equal skill level to you, but every kill and every death will of been earned, not cheesed due to lag. So if you want to play crucible where skill matters and matches aren't battles of connection, then really CBMM is the real SBMM.

32 AntwortenNo thanks your just upset that your k/d is going down again you guys say you don't want sweatys but all that really means to you is your not completely dominant in a game and you want weaker players to play against so your k/d will sky-rocket again that's what you mean by FUN that's all it is , so just say that don't say (we all) because it's only the pure pvp players that want that not the average player , I couldn't care less when I'm playing players of my equal skill I'm getting better !!! When I play anyone with a k/d higher than 2.0 I just get hate mail saying the only way I killed him/her was because the controller slipped out of his hand or we somehow are using an op weapon or I was lag-switching the list goes on and on these people are TOXIC and to be honest the community doesn't need you nor does it want you I swear even if you have played with these people you can hear them start to get angrier and angrier blaming everything but themselves JUST HAVE FUN IT'S A VIDEO GAME or go outside see some of the world around you

If only there was a setting....rbmm sbmm or cbmm...like focused, balanced, and quick. Maybe the player base isn't high/consistant enough...

Bearbeitet von Naharke31: 6/28/2016 5:54:44 AMNo
fight me mfs
No. Punishing rookies will lead to more dropouts, more joining matches in play and more imbalanced routs.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von SweetOrngVegRoot: 6/28/2016 12:13:59 AMA while ago I totally supporter CBMM, but SBMM has grown on me. It's actually fun playing against people who generally have the same skills as me. That being said, Bungie should definitely figure something out with all the latency. The lag gets extremely annoying, especially when you're being shot around corners.
-
1 AntwortenIt's a tough call. On the one hand, the game works better with CBMM, but some people leave the game (or at least PvP) because they get regularly and endlessly stomped. On the other hand, with SBMM, matches are more even, but some people leave because they're frustrated with the bad connections. Bit of a no-win scenario for Bungie.
