I don't understand. It seems as though every forum topic is "Nerf this. Nerf that"
It's kinda getting irritating seeing nerf posts after nerf posts. It's a game (unbalanced yes, but name an fps that doesn't have imbalance?) And should be treated as such, not a way of life. If a battle doesn't go your way, accept that you just lost to someone who was either better than you, or just played better than you did during that one encounter.
Nerfing everything has literally turned this game into a slow, boring special weapon fest to the point that now it's abilities that people are calling for nerfs on. It's ridiculous.
Now the new thing seems to be shoulder charge. That has literally stayed the same way since launch without a single word associated with it other than something fun to use and annoying to be killed by, but never OP. Now that everything is slow as shit, primaries suck, and special ammo isn't the easiest to hold onto, now it's abilities that needs the nerf hammer next?
Get a grip. Everything that you lose to isn't broken.
Broken things in destiny's past?
Pocket infinity
Vex
Maybe Felwinters (MAYBE but only in the case of shot package)
Suros (Vanilla, also questionable)
Thorn
TLW (Only cause of ADS glitch)
Sunbreaker at ttk launch
Bladedancer in y1 maybe?
Blink was a little stupid in y1 too.
And some of those are questionable too.
Everything else has literally been fine. The nerf posts have to stop. As irritating as getting crossed mapped by a thorn was, crucible was fast paced and it was actually fun.
How bout we start buffing things..?
Edit: Spelling
Edit 2: I'm seeing alot of replies about hit detection (or lack thereof), lagging, red bars that hit you and you can't hit them, dying through walls and what not. Yes those all contribute to the horrible experience that is Destiny pvp right now, but that's not what I'm referring to. My post is directed towards those that claim that everything that killed them is obviously better than what they have and should be brought to the ground, rather than bringing other options up to speed.
Yes I believe primaries are extremely weak (Except scouts. And HC's are too inconsistent), I think all need buffs, whether that be to damage, range, or to the registration of bullets. But what I am saying is that this constant cycle of Dying>run to forums>spend 15 min typing a great Wall of China in text about how OP something is (especially when it's not) has completely changed the way the game is played.
Completely. This game is no longer a moderately fast paced shooter similar to a Halo-type gameplay. It's slow. It's hardscope-filled because primaries are shooting pellets instead of bullets, and special ammo is thin so people camp with their snipers and wait for more special to spawn. Primaries are last resort guns now. Primaries
This is only my personal opinion obviously but the game is starting to become very boring. And with each update I feel as though my guardians just get weaker and weaker.
Yes I know. For god's sake I'm aware the netcode, the lack of dedicated servers, and hit detection in this game is an absolute atrocity. I'm talking about when you lose to something, it doesn't make it overpowered. It means you lost. That's that. Figure out the problem and adapt. It's like counterplay is some sort of ancient lost art that's unable to be grasped by anyone that plays Destiny (With the way the forums look atleast)
Dammit. I wrote my own great Wall of China... not that it'll help but here and there I do make a rant post lol. Forgive me.
I don't mind being outplayed but sometimes you just have those wtf moments, but then again it's just a game.

Like totally

Wut?? Me get outplayed??? PFFT!!!
yeah you're right! It happens all the time, now for my payback medal
2 AntwortenAlthough I agree that shoulder charge is pretty much fine, I would like them to change one thing about it. Every time I jump from a shoulder charge the Titan goes from ground level to the height that I'm at. Yet, they take that from Bladedancers? The auto track is broken with shoulder charge.
Whatever happened to just accepting the fact you got outplayed?
The internet is a place where you are always wrong, and told often and loudly
-
It's bungie's fault, the crybabies know that if they cry loud enough bungie will listen and eventually start nerfing. So yes if bungie is just going to bend over then of course ppl are going to keep calling for nerfs

2 AntwortenStfu youre stupid. Sniped across map Shotgun to face. Those are only things i die from besides supers. This game is completely broken and secondaries are the new primaries. Y2 has ruined the game and i hope they can rebound in Y3

That's the biggest flaw in Crucible, IMO, and Bungie has done nothing to address it. To the point of balance, though, it's crucial, considering the fundamental system on which this game operates is one of unlockable resources. The game is deliberately designed to prevent you from acquiring desirable gear and weapons. In a multiplayer environment, this is frustrating without balance because engagements are more often determined by a player's luck in finding something, and the perception is you lost because you didn't have X thing that the other guy did. Therefore, you lost because Destiny has favored him over you. Of course it's frustrating. This is familiar to the MMORPG crowd, but for the FPS crowd, it isn't working. It seems to me that Bungie occasionally forgot they were making an RPGFPS game when they were developing Destiny. Some of their design choices are fine for an RPG but violate principles in FPS games, which they helped define (making it extremely bizarre). I think RPGs and FPSs can be married, but I don't think Bungie's done that with Destiny.

I like being outplayed. I learn from my mistakes and apply what I learned on someone else.

But thats... impossible!!! Im the bestest destiny player EVER!!
Only in my dreams

i cri evrytime ],:
If people kill me with a weapon regularly and I don't have that same weapon or know how to use it well.... It needs to be nerfed
-
Agreed. I die just as fast now (and often, (like all the time)) as I did in year one. The lag sometimes sucks, but not the weapons. The gameplay is still one of the best around. Quit whining...

9 AntwortenThe only real game you could outplay someone in is Gears or War.

The only thing that needs to be nerfed is the warlock melee....yet, they nerf everything else

People being poopheads happened

Theres a difference between being outplayed and the game just not working properly. This isn't real life where everything is fair in terms of "glitching". This isn't "oh that hockey team outplayed mine" kind of thing. When i shoot 7 bullets of Last Word into a charging titan and only 3 proc damage on him that's not getting outplayed, thats the game not doing its thing properly. When playing video games there is no such thing as "fair" play. Someone will always have that 4k monitor and 1gb download speed/upload. He will always see you before you see him, thats why some people are so deadly sniping. Not because you suck but because he sees you first.

Alright I get what you mean...nerf fusion rifles.
-
There's no got outplayed when you spam tlw, mida or dop Lmfao gtfoh with your crutches.
-
1 AntwortenI'm a lot younger than most people who play destiny, but do I call for nerfs? No. Do I whine about getting killed? No. What makes me mad is that people always say that the people who make nerf posts are stupid 12 year olds and that all 12 year olds are annoying, whining, idiots that should be banned from Destiny.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Erijian: 6/27/2016 6:00:58 PM*panic smashes someone after missing a Shoulder Charge* lul outplayed xd

I do all the time. But it usually happens when I'm playing StrikerTitan (made him just to troll) and skating round with a fusion rifle and shoulder charge. I get outplayed all the time. Here lately, it's been due to lag and South Americans red barring up the lobby.

broken things now lag Lag Laggy lag mac bic mac laggy faggy lag mc fat fat lag advantages lag melee lag Titan blink lag Broken hit detection lag press the -blam!-ing button

1 AntwortenIt went to the same place as getting trophies for winning, versus the now default participation trophy. I don't mind losing when it is skill based. I have never called for a nerf or buff. My constant mantra: get rid of the red bars.

You are a genius sir!

Ask a player on here known as biv, he can't let anything go.

I feel like, and this is my opinion, that the term outplayed should refer to some crazy play like a 1v2 when the 1 killed both, and in a simple 1v1 saying outplayed makes it sound like you did something heroic when it could just be something simple like missing a couple shots, or someone got lucky hawkmoon bullets.
