Snipers RUIN Trials of Osiris
They literally take away all the fast paced gameplay. You can't even walk around corners without the fear of being hardscoped, because a hardscoper is waiting for you. Those easy hardscoping 1HK shots don't make you skilled. They tell us you can only use a sniper to win.

49 AntwortenSimple solution, Trials should always be inferno that way it's snipe at your own risk. Everyone here says adapt, overcome and flank them. Last I checked a flank was used to catch a team off guard well with the radar pinging your position all the time once they see you moving it's time to post up in position 2 and get on the scope again. Yes this is a fantasy FPS but if you want to use a sniper as intended (i.e. "hard scope") then you shouldn't be able to know exactly where your enemy is just like an "actual" sniper doesnt know, yes you have an idea but no 100% sure. I say Bungie should test this, run Trials a few weeks with no radar and evaluate game play data and proceed from there. I think it would be an amazing change of pace and more of a chess match if you didn't know exactly where every one was at. Another idea would be to "ping" the radar every 90-120 seconds to please the people that rely entirely on radar and to refuse learning map flows enemy strategy.

As much I hate snipers, can't really say it ruins the game it's a gun type. I think the point of a sniper is also to look down the scope.

Sniping yes has definitely changed the pace of trials and of crucible in general but your comment gives me the opinion that you have never even tried to snipe. It takes far more skill than many give it credit for and if someone takes the time to develop that skill then they should be rewarded for it. Rather than complaining about the skills that someone has you should spend your time improving YOUR skills in order to counter theirs.

I never really thought of it this way tbh and even I snipe mostly and think there's too much, imagine just playing trials and going against auto rifles, side arms, fusion rifles, and enjoying it haha

1 AntwortenSnipers are ruining the entirety of Destiny. The number of people who rely on their snipers, a secondary or [i]special[/i] weapon is brutal... Nobody uses primary anymore and IMO its sucking the fun out of the game. Too many people sit around hard scoping down long corridors with pinpoint accuracy due to high aim assist on the most popular snipers. Bungie needs to implement barrel sway to reduce the current sniper meta. Limiting ammo in [i]certain[/i] game types was a farce and snipers still rule (and ruin) Trials, Banner and Crucible in general. I don't even play Trials anymore because it feels like a snipers only club, and we have Bungie's passiveness to blame.

Now as much as i absolutely hate snipers, I must disagree. Even with ultra sticky AA reticles, it's a learning curve coming from shotties to land the Headshot. Also to hold steady and double tap a target from 100% to absolute, to DEAD! Now trials is supposed to be slow paced and strategic. sniping could be easily countered with the right moves, I personally snipe but when out of ammo I usually shadestep around the corner to avoid getting insta killed, rush around the next corner throw a grenade at the sniper, boom your enemy no longer has an advantage. quit crying. if you can't counter a sniper that's your fault.
