I've been thinking on how Bungie could bring Elemental primaries back, knowing the reason they removed them and then, the very talented KackisHD just made this video showing great ways to bring them back. Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did. if you did Vote up above, and if you really want elemental primaries back, Like and Upvote this post to show Bungie the video and what we think. thank you hopefully I'll meet you in the game.
UPDATE: Wow that's a lot of votes up in the poll, I think that poll has reached a point where we can Upvote this more so bungie can see it, and can see what we think on elemental primaries and the Kackis's video. But thanks for all of your input.

1 AntwortenThe answer to your question is a question...😑

1 AntwortenOr: I've never seen a poll for what question should be asked?

5 AntwortenCan someone explain why they got rid of them.

How about random burns on raid/trials weapons like a solar or void fatebringer?
-
But was Fatebringer used because it was arc, or because of its perks and damage out put? Most people, if didn't have VoC, would still use FB on early Nightfalls because of its damage output. The issue with diversity only happened because the Crota weapons (primary) weren't as good as the VoG weapons, so people defaulted back to those. People say there is diversity now, but everybody seems to want the Grasp. How does this make it diverse? All exotics should have a burn, whether set due to perks (Zhalo chaning lightning), or random for guns like Suros, Mida etc. Raid weapons, as "end game" weapons, should all have burns. Randomising the burn may create more diversity, but, as per the FB discussion, the overall ability of the weapon will determine its worth, rather than just the burn. Right now, why should I complete the TTK raid? I have a scout and auto from PoE that I love, and do everything I need them to. No burn on the raid weapons, means no need to collect them. Diversity exists when there is a greater choice, and range of activities to make your choice in. I have previously suggested a system like Skyrims enchanting. You could collect perks, elements etc, and apply them to blank weapon frames. The weapon would still work as kinetic with no perks, but have 3 blank slots for perks, and one for elemental (or randomise if it comes with an elemental slot), and you need to either collect perks and burns as rewards, or dismantling weapons with perks/burns have a chance to give you a random perk too (like dismantling armour with chroma options can give you a random chroma now). This could create all sorts of weapon combos, based purely on somes rng and play style. Maybe I want the main FB perks (firefly, outlaw, explosive rounds) on a scout rifle. But these types of perks, maybe more rare, then knee pads, danger close etc. Rewarded perks/burns could be tiered like weapons are. Rare perks, legend perks with some perks and burns being exotic. So when you finish a boss the engram you see could be anything (it could even be a boat - Peter Griffin), weapon, armour, perk, burn etc. Maybe you need to be a certain level with the gun smith you be able to apply certain things. Or maybe he does it for you at certain levels. Like reforging. Don't spend my two cents all at once.

8 AntwortenNo, because not having elemental primaries encourage more diversity. The reason they removed them was because they where the only guns that people where using. It also makes things a little easy.
-
Yes, but only Exotics. There is absolutly no Reason why a Zhalo has arc Damage and no other Exotic (Year2) Primary has. Please add Elemental Damage to existing Exotics. Bad Juju maybe Void Mida Multitool Solar .... That would be great, it works with the Zhalo cause it is Exotic and blocks the Exo Slot, it would also work with other Guns.

No. Y1 not all 3 classes have complete elemental abilities, so having elemental is, in a way, assisting players IMO.
-
4 AntwortenI think not having elemental primaries adds a level of difficulty to the game. You have to use your special or heavy or abilities. Makes it just slightly more challenging against those with elemental shields. That being said I think they should have more than one exotic that does elemental damage. But just exotics. One for each element maybe.
-
2 AntwortenIf they bring back elemental primaries I would say: 1. Make them for exotics only 2. Maybe consider making it an optional choice say btw element and a "god roll" for that weapon. ie AR with perfect balance or void element.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Daemon Jaeger13: 6/25/2016 11:58:30 PMNope...makes things more challenging with burns, and doesn't force specific primaries. I do however think exotic primaries should have elemental burn.
-
They should This is a space magic game, and kinetic weapons are boring
-
Should have never been taken out

Kack sucks. His exotics idea videos were from a pre-teen who had just discovered photoshop. If you bring back legendary elemental primaries, then all the work bungie put into the gunsmith armsday weapons, the crucible, vanguard, and faction weapons, the crucible and strike exclusive weapons, and the taken king raid weapons will be pointless. People will just go back to using the legendary primaries and nothing else. The only way this could work is with elemental weapon cores, or as exotics. Either make it use an exo-slot, or make weapon cores that are incredibly hard to obtain. Like...Y1 nightfall without cheese hard.

8 AntwortenMatch Game modifier without elemental primaries was a dick move.
-
They should just make all exotic primaries have some sort of elemental damage to make them more useful in PvE at least.
-
Absolutely yes, it was stupid to remove them, a solar burn would make a weapon like the crappy raid auto immediately sought after without breaking pvp, and since nightfalls aren't as important, they wouldn't really affect that either. I mean, Christ, they've already nerfed the burn damage done by elemental burns to 200% (was 300%) do it makes no sense to keep them out of the game.

-
Yes the -blam!- they should

Fatebringer y2

1 AntwortenYes. They should. They were actually a worthwhile reward for putting hours of effort into a single raid. They made your guardian powerful in situations where it counted. And they were just fun to collect, because they were all so unique. Much better than getting a shitty auto rifle or hand cannon that both fit into horrible archetypes
