I've been seeing a whole lot of 'nerf striker' posts all the sudden since the June update. People are saying they're OP. But question yourself 'Are they OP or just annoying?'
They are not OP. Shoulder charge only does exactly 200 damage; that's barely enough to kill someone. It is easily countered too I'll just list a few examples of counters: shotgun, keep your distance, wear a ram with max armour, run away, if you see a titan running at you be smart and run!
Juggernaut is also one thing that's being complained about. Which is also not OP just annoying. The shield can be easily broken. And again use common sense and run if you see a titan running at you with juggernaut.
Plus these things aren't even a problem in 3v3 playlists like trials. People are less agressive in trials and won't shoulder charge much and juggernaut can be countered by just playing less agressive and staying back. Just be smart.

I'm not complaining about the shoulder charge. It's not op nor in need of a nerf. What I have noticed is that strikers are being used a lot more in crucible than I have seen before.
-
16 AntwortenJuggernaut can take a golden gun shot and a sniper headshot. You can't say that's not OP. Bungie buffed it to activate while in the air, so now Titans can close the distance with their shotguns faster than you can fall back or run away. Don't even get me started on the tracking that shoulder charge has.

4 AntwortenThe juggernaut can survive 1 shot from gg... Amd need 3 shots from sniper to kill

1 AntwortenThe Titan is not the problem. The problem is that the other classes have been made much weaker by comparison. There was never an issue with shoulder charge until this latest update. Hmmm I wonder why?
-
Shoulder charge would be changed so that it uses your melee ability cooldown. And I'm sure stuff like that could be tested out on PTR to see how much of a difference it would be. Other than that it should stay the same as it has always been, cause it's a big part of the subclass.
-
2 AntwortenIn the new Bungieverse there is now difference between annoying and OP. Why else would they have nerfed Nightstalker's shadestep and smoke? Because of the dominant 0.97 KD this subclass has?
-
Annoying definitley last time i played the whole week was nothing but shoulder charging idiots in the crucible granted it was free for all but need them wins.

16 AntwortenBearbeitet von MeowLurus: 6/28/2016 2:29:54 AMSomethings are OP one hit melees, shoulder charge, and lightning grenade radius is massive. Shoulder charge should take away melee charge and when you don't have change not a one hit. Lightning grenade radius needs to be decreased maybe by 1.5m or 1.0m. One hit melee it's just overload needs a decrease in dmg by a little. Super need a little airial dampened dmg because it's hit box is huge no class can avoid by jumping straight up. Where Nova bomb, HoS you can just jump over. Buffs I'd say blind grenade needs duration increase and pulse may need a little dmg add.
-
The reason people say they are OP is because they can run into a room and pop super and it doesn't matter where the enemy is they might as well dig their grave before he ever walks in their.
47% percent of gamers are women as of 2015 so I guess it's whatever/whoever walks in there
1 AntwortenIt's not op... I just used to have grenades that would kill strikers. Now I don't.

I think as soon as these nerfs happen people always always ALWAYS try to find the meta, even if nerfs aren't that extreme. Yea there is an advantage of doing that but that will always lead to another nerf of those weapons and than they find new metas and so on. And like you have stated they need to learn how to counter or do whatever instead of just trying to win a straight up gun fight and make tactics part of their style. Most of the nerfs people want, in my opinion, get killed all the time by strikers or Grasp or whatever and they always get killed by that cuz EVERYONE is using it because of previous nerfs. I don't know much about programming or putting in the numbers or weapons/gear/subclasses, but buffs are way better to bring everything up to that level so they can all be used instead of always just nerfing one or 2 things just for it to end up making another weapon more powerful.
-
If Bungie is going to nerf shoulder charge, they should get rid of all: classes subclasses weapons Then, put out 1 weapon and generic character that everyone has by default. Make one map, with nothing on it, with no radar If you die once, thats it. Call it: Boring So now people will know without a doubt, that if they die, they just sucked at playing boring.

4 AntwortenIf you can't counter shoulder charge, you are shite and useless in this game. That's it, nice and simple. If you don't agree, have a knee to the face that sends you back to your mama's nerfy vagina, that you crawled out from.....

19 AntwortenBearbeitet von Scorpius XX1: 6/26/2016 10:29:51 AMIt's these pansy ass Warlocks in their dresses, looking for payback over their cheese firebolt nerf. Whining nonstop on the forums. It's not the Hunters for once. Nooooo, it's the lack of any gun skill whatsoever ninny Warlocks who just want to sit back and spam nades all day long. Sissies.
-
1 Antwortenaccording to Bungie, there is no difference, as it will all get nerfed sooner or later.
-
Annoying not op. Signed a Hunter.
-
1 AntwortenShoulder charge is easily countered after the first time it happens in a match. Look at radar more and equip a shotgun. Boom. Problem solved. Stop hard-scoping and pay attention! You keep dying over and over in a single match to shoulder charge, its YOUR fault, plain and simple.
-
Definitely not op, their super has to be close ranged and grenades are burst, shoulder charge is just annoying but definitely not op
-
Personally to me something doesn't become op when everything else gets nerfed worse then it, something becomes op when it's buffed above everything else. Such as how thorn got buffed and became op. But grasp of malok isn't op in my eyes due to the fact things have been nerfed down to its level.
-
-
It'll get nerfed regardless.
-
My bills, job and my neighbors rectal halitosis are OP. Ugh, the plight of the common man.
-
If I've been saying that they're OP and abilities are too good since vanilla, does that mean I have more credibility since I'm not bandwagon?
-
I'm gonna call it annoying, so since its in bungies power to take out annoying perks, let's go ahead and rid of this one too
-
2 AntwortenYou sound like a pre-Nerf sunsinger. Just accept that it's the Striker's turn next. Nerf shoulder charge!
