While I was out in the Vanguard Heroic Strike playlist, dabbling in my admittedly underused hunter (Which will now not be staying so dusty for long) I was running Bladedancer, an unusual choice, since my preferrence is Gunslinger. I like being able to be a Gunslinger with Kephri for multirole Damage and Medic.
So, Bladedancer. I have my skill lines about halfway unlocked so I'm running Showstopper, Higher jump, Flux grenades, Backstab, Encore, Path Forbidden and Way of the Fearless, and have on my best gear. Kephri is doing it's thing, so I pop Arc Blade, crouch, invisibility goes up and I rush out into the middle of a huge group of enemies. I hit Showstopper and had to stop for a second as my entire mind and perception had just witnessed greatness. Everything. EVERYTHING. ALL OF THEM. They had ALL taken both the backstab damage, AND the Kephri venom, and I was now standing in the middle of the most wonderful field of shimmering emerald light as they quickly ticked away in a Thornlike poison. Of course I couldn't stand around to think about good old days in the crucible getting spikes bigger than my head put through my torso, but it was something grand.
SO I experimented. If you're invisible, you can poison with your Arc Blade with Showstopper, or your basic strikes after each use of Vanish, but for some reason not Razor's Edge. Probably because of how slow it is and how far it goes, and you uncloak instantly when you use it.
That's all. Just had to share a neat little trick for clearing entire rooms in pvp and pve that I found, and a cool story.

2 AntwortenThere's a lot of class-jealousy about Hunters at the moment that despite the glaringly obvious stupid comparisons with OHK abilities that have no cool-downs and roaming hail-Mary supers versus melee abilities that might have killed Davey on Twilight gap last September when he was afk getting a bag of Quavers from the kitchen cupboard. It's heartening to see that Hunters remain the best-dressed and ingenious, and Warlocks tasteful, choices...

Now hunters will get another nerf and there will be wailing in the streets for a month.
-
28 AntwortenSo what you're saying is... Nerf fusion rifles?
-
Why cares if it poisons? Shouldn't they be dead already?
-
Try using Vanish and Khepri's Sting together with Encore. You deal 600% damage after a kill along with stronger DoT
-
4 AntwortenYou see, stuff like this needs to be kept under wraps. Not only have you endangered the Hunters secrets, but you betrayed the Hunter's will of being deadly & swift. I banish thee!!
-
32 AntwortenAs a former 335 character guy, if you start getting excited over the littlest thing, you need to take a break from this game and play something else
-
With Khepri's sting and the thing that makes your throwing knife cause burn you can actually one-shot people while invisible with a headshot throw.
-
1 AntwortenThat's kind of amazing. It'll give me a reason to use both an ability and an Exotic I rarely touch.
-
2 AntwortenNothing "truly terrifying" going on here. Why, youre no daisy at all You want horror? Go see the infinite novabomb thread. Thats noteworthy

I figured this out (well, not this specifically) almost by mistake. My Hunter had bounties for melee kills without dying and Arc ability kills. I used Arc Blade on a group of enemies, then opened my menu to check how many more ability kills I needed. I was surprised to find that my melee kill bounty advanced as well. Arc Blade now counts as a melee attack. It didn't used to. That was changed in the June update. Moreover, Arc Blade doesn't differentiate between basic strikes and the talents, so Showstopper and Razor's Edge also advanced the melee bounty. I haven't had the chance to test this yet, but I want to head into CoE and see if Arc Blade now scores points both as a super and a melee the way throwing knives can score both as a melee and a precision kill. If the change follows through to that environment, Bladedancer might be the way to go when melee combat is the bonus.

3 AntwortenBut can it take a shader?
-
... 🤔 Hey, that's pretty good!
-
2 AntwortenThrow knife, time it so you go invisible as soon as it hits = 1HKO (Incendiary and the sting stacks I think)
-
1 Antworteni want them to nerf the little bugs leg which i see moving on the corner of my screen
-
2 AntwortenOh my god! Damage Over Time (DOT) poison?! NERF NERF NERF!! Must nerf! Must whine like a little b*tch about DOT!! Must tell Bungie they suck for having DOT in their game! Obviously we also need to nerf Thorn cause thats where all the poison is coming from! /End_sarcastic_rant

1 AntwortenPeople like you are the reason things get nerfed, keep it to yourself and your friends lol
-
Division -blam!-ing sucks. Whoever thought that game was good should choke.
k
I'll have to try that. My hunter favors Khepri, because Stalker AND Hungering blade? Yes pleez.
-
4 AntwortenSo go invisible, then use showstopper in a hoard and the venom triggers?
-
Thanks to skill based matchmaking and the super sweaty matches I get thrown into, there is no practical or effective use for this trick or khepri's sting abilities in general.
-
4 AntwortenNerf is on its way.
-
Khepri's *
-
I heard same happens with a gg shot when you're invis if your target survives that is

wonderful
